Final Heart of Christmas for 2020

Heart of Christmas image

Welcome back to our final Heart of Christmas with the Art with Heart Team for 2020. Each month we have shared Christmas inspiration with you using current Stampin’ Up! products. Have you been inspired to make your Christmas cards & projects this year? It has been a good time while in lockdown due to COVID-19, to stay busy.

Tonight I have a fun Christmas card using the Warm and Toasty stamp set with the Snowflake Splendor DSP.

My card base is Purple Posy with the ribbon wrapped around the DSP panel. A separate bow is tied and glued at the top of the die cut (Tasteful Labels).

The little mice are stamped in Black Memento ink and coloured with Blends Markers; Pool Party, Ivory, Purple Posy. I added some Shimmery Chrystal Effects to the bauble. This die cut is popped up on dimensionals and the bow added.

Please head over to Judy’s blog to see the full list of participants in this month’s Heart of Christmas. We would love for you to visit each one and leave some comments if you feel inspired.

Curvy Christmas Wreath

I’m loving the Curvy Celebrations suite of products now available – some products are early release items from the upcoming 2021 Mini catalogue.

Curvy Christmas & Classic Christmas DSP

Quite Curvy & Curvy Dies

The rich colours of this Classic Christmas DSP includes Cherry Cobbler, Sahara Sand, Shaded Spruce with white, but tonight I am using all but Sahara Sand for my classic Christmas card.

I decided to create a wreath using the Stamparatus to stamp the foliage in the round. The stars were stamped the same way, to get that beautiful uniform pattern.

The bird is stamped in Memento ink, coloured with Cherry Cobbler Blends Markers and cut out with the coordinating die. The circles are cut using the Layering Circles dies.

Warm and Toasty Christmas meets Curvy Christmas

How cute is this Christmas scene with the stunning Snowflake Spendor paper in the background and snow scene in front created with the new Curvy dies. The sentiment is from the Curvy Christmas stamp set which is part of the Quite Curvy Variety Bundle. It is stamped in Pool Party ink, as are the snowflakes. The trees (In the Pines) are stamped in Highland Heather and Pool Party ink.

The bunnies in the sleigh are stamped in Memento ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends, fussy cut and added with dimensionals.

How fun is this card?!!!

158396 – QUITE CURVY VARIETY BUNDLE

Curvy Christmas & Classic Christmas DSP

Quite Curvy & Curvy Dies

Here is my first card I have made with this suite. I have used Sahara Sand, Whisper White, with a touch of Blushing Bride on the birds’ chest.

I tied a double bow in Linen Thread and added it with a multipurpose glue to the branches. Here you can see the Blushing Bride ink which I applied using the blender pens for that real soft touch of colour.

The sentiment is stamped in Sahara Sand ink using the Stamparatus to get that nice deep and even colour. The ‘at Christmas’ is only part of one of the stamps, so I just inked up the words I needed!

I just love the curves of these dies and I know I will use them heaps.

Here’s to a cool yule!

I just love this little guy and doesn’t he have the cutest face ever?! He just makes me smile.

This is a fairly simple card using the gorgeous Snowflake Splendor patterned paper (on sale) as the background with some stamping of the pine trees and sentiment in Highland Heather.

The reindeer is stamped in Memento, coloured with Ivory/Bronze/Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends and fussy cut, then added with dimensionals.

Tomorrow is the last day to order your Designer Paper and save 15%

Plaid Tidings with Paper Piecing Bow

Plaid Tidings patterned paper is another of the packs that is on sale this month and tonight I have teamed it up with the reindeer image from the Warm & Toasty stamp set and includes some Paper Piecing!

The bow on this reindeer, I coloured with a Black Stampin’ Write Marker direct to the stamp and stamped it into the centre of this plaid piece of paper. I cut out a small square just around the image with my trimmer (the oval is placed over the top to hide the hole) then neatly cut around the edges of the bow. Using the marker, I ran it around the edges to make the sides black, so when it’s glued to the reindeer, it looks like one piece. The reindeer is coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I added a little Wink of Stella to the antlers, hooves and nose. The oval is popped up on dimensionals.

Don’t forget to add some patterned papers to your October order!

CCS Week 21- Highland Heather is Warm and Toasty for Christmas

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

AWHT Colour Creations Showcase

Week 21 – Highland Heather

Have you placed your order for the 15% off patterned papers on sale this month? Tonight’s card is made with the Snowflake Splendor DSP which is on sale and guess who bought it? ME!!! And it is so pretty in real life, you have to see it to believe it.

I am a big fan of these colours together, so even though I don’t have any of the other products in the suite, I think it can still be used with many of our other products available, including this cute stamp set that popped into my order last month during the one day Mega stamp sale!

Here I have used the Sunburst Technique which I shared recently in our Monthly Creative Showcase with the Whale of a Time DSP, but wanted to use this paper, as every sheet is gorgeous on both sides and I needed to show it all. This uses only one piece of 6″ x 6″.

How did I create the Sunburst? Take a piece of 12cm x 12cm card and using a pencil draw these lines; corner to corner and in half both sides.

Cut a piece of 6″ x 6″ patterned paper in half and each of these in half again to be 3″ x 3″ squares. Measure two sides and mark the centre with a pencil. Cut from each of these marks to the far corner (as shown below). Repeat on other squares.

Now you will have this. Turn over every second piece to show the opposite side of the paper (you may need to move pieces around to fit. It’s best to do this before you stick them down to the card base.

Add Stampin’ Seal over each of the pencil lines on your backing card and around the edges. Start placing the pieces, lining up the straight lines of each quarter.

Once you finished, it may not look perfect, but flip it over and trim off the edges with scissors or your Trimmer.

Now you can glue this piece to your card front and add your embellishments, sentiment and stamped image.

This stamp set, Warm & Toasty has super cute images and they are perfect for colouring with our Stampin’ Blends Markers.

I enjoyed making this so much, I made a second one with the polar bear!

Please head over to Cathy’s blog to see all the other participants in this week’s Colour Creations Showcase!

Most Wonderful Time in the Pine Woods

The Most Wonderful Time Product Medley is fantastic value, especially if you are just starting out on your stamping journey or just need everything coordinating with one product code to order! You get the card, designer paper, Embellishments, stickers, dies and stamp set!

For my card today, I have used the pretty deer paper with the gold foil accents as my base.

The Pine Woods dies are so pretty too and I’ve used them today on this card, but you could just use the ones in the medley!

The banner I created myself with the Triple Banner Punch for the ends and I just score 2 lines either side of the sentiment, ¼” apart. I did stamp the sentiment first, then created the folds and added a dimensional behind the sentiment so it sat up. The gold stars are also part of the Medley!

Coming Home with Stamping in the Round (SITR)

Here I am back with another SITR card with a Christmas theme – the Coming Home stamp set and coordinating Trimming the Town Designer Paper is just beautiful. This Designer Paper pack is on sale for the month of October saving you 15%, so make sure you add it to your next order!

01-10-20_DSP_SALE

Using the Stamparatus, and a template I created myself, I placed the 4″ x 4″ piece of white card on top of the template. Starting with the house image, stamp it once, rotate the card 90o, stamp again and repeat the process. The I placed the tree and the stars in position and repeated the process.

Stampin Up Coming Home & Trimming the Town DSP by Kate Morgan, Australia 2020

Once all the stamping is done, I then coloured the images with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas Greetings stamp set and cut out with the 1½” circle punch and layered onto a Misty Moonlight die cut from the Tasteful Labels dies.

Christmas, Designer/Patterned/Specialty Papers (DSP), Handmade Cards, Stampin' Up!

Traditional Christmas card to Cherish the Season

Today’s Christmas card is an easy one to create and make multiples of during the silly season!

The card base is Thick Whisper White (although you cannot see it) as I have placed a piece of Gold Foil over the entire card front. The Plaid Tidings DSP is the next layer, a lovely piece for Christmas. This Designer Paper pack is on sale for the month of October saving you 15%, so make sure you add it to your next order!

I have stamped these bells in Versamark Ink onto Cherry Cobbler card, added Gold Emboss Powder and heat set it. The same process for the sentiment, although I fussy cut this one. I die cut the Cherry Cobbler card with the Nested Stitched Labels dies and cut one end off before adhering to the card.

The foliage is die cut from Just Jade card and glued above the bells. I tied some of the gold thread in a bow and added this at the very end with glue to allow it to dry. I find that the Multipurpose Glue is the strongest adhesive to hold this thread.
