Blooms of Heartfelt Sympathy

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a sympathy card using the Heartfelt Blooms stamp set from the Saleabration brochure, which you can select for FREE with any $90 order!

It is never easy to create a sympathy card when you need one, but having some on hand makes the journey so much easier when it is required. So today, I have this quick and easy card for that very occasion.

This card is 4¼” x 4¼” in Rich Razzleberry, layered with Whisper White.

Look at the detail in this stamp!!!! When I opened the stamp case, I took one look at this floral stamp and thought it was so flat and wouldn’t have very much detail, it even felt flat and smooth to touch, but I was so glad to be proven wrong. Check it out!

The images are stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink and then I coloured it lightly with my Watercolour Pencils. Oh and I adore the font in the sentiment, it is so pretty!

Exploding Handbag, Painted with Love

Dear Crafters,

Another project we made at my craft class last Saturday, was the Exploding Handbag card, using the Painted with Love Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Occasions catalogue. The ladies loved it and these papers looked stunning in this 3D project. Class attendees are given a written tutorial to take home so they can recreate the project in their own time.

We used a different sheet of paper from the SDSP pack with a coordinating piece of card for the top. Every single project was stunning!!

Can you see that these papers have the gorgeous gold shine through them? We used the gold foil for the handles, as well as gold foil and glimmer for the embellishments.

To make this project, you need a full sheet of 12″ x 12″ and there is very little cutting involved. In fact, the only cutting is for the handle, embellishments and the top of the bag!

Here is another one I made recently using the Year of Cheer SDSP from the recent Holiday catalogue.

and this is what it looks like when it’s open! So as you can see, it is a full sheet of 12″ x 12″ just folded. The only extra thing I added, that won’t be listed below in the product list, is some velcro dots, which I cut in half and added as the closure!

Triple Time Technique with Petal Palette

Dear Crafters,

Today I share these wonderful cards that the ladies made at my first class for 2018 last Saturday, using the Petal Palette stamp set in the Occasions catalogue. They were amazed at this technique and were happy to be able to take home a written tutorial to be able to recreate them in their own time (one of the perks of attending my classes).

We made two cards, one was the centred layers and the other was a side step layer. We started with the side step layer card to show them the basics of how it works, then the next card I allowed them to choose which stamps they would like to use from the set. You can see that they chose different combinations, which was fantastic to see what they came up with. I also had one of the Saleabration stamp sets, Heartfelt Blooms, which they could use the sentiment, Thinking of You in that pretty font.

Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts in Watercolour

Dear Crafters,

Today I share this pretty card using the Friendship’s Sweetest Thoughts stamp set in the Occasions catalogue.

I began with a Bermuda Bay card base and layered it up with a piece of Melon Mambo… I adore this colour combo! A piece of the Delightful Daisy DSP was added.

Next I stamped the image on Whisper White card with Archival Black ink and coloured with the Watercolour Pencils then blended them with the Blender Pens.

This image is then die cut with the Lots of Labels Framelits die and adhered with Tombo Multipurpose glue. I added a bow with some retired ribbon to finish it off perfectly.

Wow, Petal Passion DSP meets Stampin’ Blends!

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card focusing on the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper in the Occasions catalogue. This pack of papers are all black and white and very bold prints. But wait until you see what I have done to them!!! You won’t believe it’s the same pack of paper!

I started colouring the floral images with the Stampin’ Blends Markers and it looked great, but then I coloured the background of the DSP with the Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends marker and it just looked amazing!

The shading in the images is part of the DSP, so it makes it even easier to colour and get the shading effect.

Colour Inkspiration Challenge with Sweet Little Something

Dear Crafters,

Today I share another card using the Sweet Little Something stamp set that I created for a colour challenge on a fb page, Colour Inkspiration! I just love this set and I have made a few bunny rabbit cards already and you can see them again here & here!

I stamped the bunny with only one colour, Night of Navy. It is a 3 step stamping process, so the first image is stamped in the full tone, the second image is stamped off once and the third image is stamped off twice! I really love the effect.

The Cable Knit Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder creates the perfect background texture for this fluffy little bunny with his gingham ribbon bow.

You may or may not notice that the Lots of Labels Framelits dies look a little shorter? Well, I wanted it to frame the bunny a bit closer, so once I stamped him, I lined up the framelit in the big shot closer to his head and cut. I then moved the diecut in the same die closer to his feet and ran it though the big shot again just at that end, not all the way through. I then did the same with the Lemon Lime Twist piece behind!

Let the Good Times Roll on Australia Day!

Dear Crafters,

Today I share this card using the Let the Good Times Roll bundle in the Occasions catalogue. You may remember I shared one earlier in January that was a feminine one, but today is my dads 70th birthday and I thought this was an appropriate card for him, as it brought back wonderful memories of the times he would take me on the rides at the theme parks while my mum & sister looked on in terror!!!! Dad & I loved them!!!

The base card measures 8¼” x 5⅞” and is folded in half.
The Whisper White insert measures 8″ x 5½”.

Who wouldn’t get a thrill out of opening this card?!!!! Isn’t it just so cool?!!

This is a 14 piece photopolymer set, so it makes it super easy to line up the stamped images as well as using the coordinating dies to cut them out so no more fussy cutting! I have used lots of colour as I think it is such a fun card that screams colour!

Remember, here are the tips I found when using this bundle:

use whisper white, not the thick whisper white card, it’s easier to fold the tracks
do not score your white card all the way through. Only score each side about 1/2″, line up the die and then cut, then use a ruler to score across to the edge of the die cut
Score along each edge of the tracks and the bottom edge before trying to fold them
Add an extra layer over the framework of the roller coaster for strength
it will fold flat, you just need patience in the manipulating of the tracks

I coloured the DSP with my Stampin’ Blends; Calypso Coral Combo, Old Olive Combo and Pool Party Light for the background. What a difference it makes!!!

I also coloured the bird with the Pool Party Combo blends pack and the Colour Lifter. I die cut some vellum circles using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies and glued them down by lightly sponging on some Tombo Multipurpose glue, so you can’t see it. I then added some of the gold metallic ⅛” ribbon and tied another piece in a bow and added it with a glue dot.

The sentiment is heat embossed with gold embossing powder and it looks stunning on that framelit.

The gold strips down each side of the DSP is some Washi tape.

The lavender image is stamped with Black Memento ink and coloured with the Stampin’ Blenders markers. I must say, I’m not overly happy with my fussy cutting and nearly pulled it all apart to start again 😦
