If you’re already hopping, then you just came to me from our hop organiser, Ros Davidson. If you’re just joining, great! Use the “next” button at the end of my post to hop all the way around. Blog Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post there is a link to the next one. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links. Now let’s get started!

My first project tonight uses the stamp set, Enjoy Life with a technique called the Floating Window. The card base is Tranquil Tide with a Square die cut out of the front. I placed a small piece of Berry Burst Metallic Edged Ribbon, cut on angles, below the square to act a bit like a window shelf.

Enjoy Life 2018 Handmade Card using Stampin Up by Kate Morgan Australia

On the inside of the card, I used my D size clear block and tapped it onto the Pool Party Inkpad, then spritzed it with some water and stamped it onto the Whisper White card for a cool watercolour effect. You must wait for this to dry before stamping the images over the top in Stazon Black ink and the female image in Berry Burst ink. By using the Stamparatus, I could then keep the figure in the same position to be able to ink the window sheet in the exact same place so it lays over the top of the image on the inside of the card when you open and close it.

A piece of window sheet is stamped with Stazon Black ink with the grass and the female image only.  Using the Stamparatus, I could get a nice dark image, by re-inking the stamps a couple of times. You may be able to see the two images layered in this photo!

My second project is a quick Christmas card, using some of the Under the Mistletoe Designer Paper with some Frost White Shimmer Paint sponged over the top. The sentiment from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set is stamped in Versamark ink and silver embossing powder applied, then heat set with a heat tool. I also added a square of Silver Foil and some Silver Glimmer cut with the Triple Banner Punch.

Heart of Christmas: Dry Embossed Deer

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

Tonight, I am hosting the 14th Heart of Christmas Blog Hop on behalf of Claire and can you believe it’s less than 6 weeks until Christmas?!

I am using the Big Shot Embossing Mats for tonight’s card to showcase something a little different created with the dies. It was very difficult to photograph the copper foil without getting my reflection in it, so here goes!

Dry Embossed Christmas Card using Stampin Up Dashing Deer & Joyous Noel by Kate Morgan Australia Christmas 2018..JPG

The Copper Foil is run through the Big Shot with the Embossing Mats and the Detailed Deer Thinlits die to get this effect. The die doesn’t cut all the way through, but only leaves the impression. How cool is that?!! It opens up the possibilities you can get from your dies. I rounded the two corners using the Envelope Punch Board.

I added some Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible ribbon and tied it in a bow. It is so luxurious and soft. I added a Share What You Love Artisan Pearl for the eye of the deer.

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink and added another strip of the same Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper with some of the Joyous Noel Copper Glimmer paper.

Twinkling Christmas Lights

Today I have another card using the Making Christmas Bright Bundle, CASE’d directly from page 6 of the 2018 Holiday catalogue. You may remember seeing my post on Wednesday using this same bundle, you can see it here.

My Real Red card base is embossed in the Big Shot with the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. A layer of Call Me Clover card is added down the centre.

The Whisper White card is stamped with the sprigs from the Christmas Pines stamp set. Then I added the strings for the lights, however, I forgot to stamp these last week when Andrea was here so I’ve had to improvise and so I used the line stamp from the Balloon Celebrations stamp set! I stamped it in Gray Granite ink, but 2nd generation stamping so it isn’t so dark.

Christmas card using Stampin' Ups Making Christmas Bright Bundle by Kate Morgan, Australia. Holiday catalogue 2018.JPG

The Christmas lights are stamped in Real Red, Call Me Clover, Pineapple Punch and Pool Party. The tops are Gray Granite ink on coordinating card stock. Before I added each light with a dimensional, I used a sponge dauber to lightly add some ink for the light’s glow!

Can you see those Pretty Pines die cuts on top of the stamped ones? These just added an extra bit of dimension.

The ribbon I have used is retired, however there is one very similar in my product list below that is a suitable replacement!

The Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set was perfect for the sentiment and the flowers stamped in Grapefruit Grove. The Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon was the perfect embellishment to tie it all together.

I added another strip of the designer paper on the inside which shows through the delicate lace edgelit when the card is closed.

Colour Challenge Blog Hop: Pink!

October-blog-hop-Think Pink.jpg

Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative projects featuring the colour pink. We hope our blog hop inspires you to get creative with the various shades of pink that Stampin’ Up! offer in our collection of 53 different colours available.

If you’re already hopping, then you just came to me from my good friend, Sharon Davern. If you’re just joining, great! Use the “next” button at the end of my post to hop all the way around. Blog Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post there is a link to the next one. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

Now let’s get started!

My first project I am using the Ribbon of Courage stamp set with heat embossing and watercolouring. With October being Breast Cancer awareness month, this was the perfect stamp set to use!

I stamped the image multiple times with Versamark ink, applied White Emboss Powder and heat set it. Then I used the AquaPainter to apply water and some ink starting with Lovely Lipstick at the top and Flirty Flamingo at the bottom until they mixed in the centre. Once these dried, I added a wash of Smoky Slate ink over the entire background.

The sentiment is heat embossed with White Emboss Powder. Look at that gorgeous Lovely Lipstick 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon wrapped around 3 times and tied in a bow with a small piece of Gold mini sequin trim!

My second project is very much a girly card, using the stamp set, Flourishing Phrases and lots of “Stella”!

AWHT Blog Hop, Congratulations card using Stampin Up Flourishing Phrases by Kate Morgan Australia 2018.

Can you see the Wink of Stella on the flower and leaves? It is also around the edges of the sentiment! Oh yes, I really do love my “Stella”!!! I also added some small pearl jewels for an extra feminine touch.

This is all I have done on the inside of this card, as I’m not sure whether it will be used for a wedding card, special big ‘0’ birthday or something else as yet. When I know, I can add the appropriate sentiment.

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Granny Apple Green!!!

I have paired it with Mango Melody and Poppy Parade for this card with the Tropical Chic bundle and coordinating designer paper.

Colour Creations Blog Hop Granny Apple Green in Tropical Chic Stampin Up 2018 by Kate Morgan Australia..JPG

I die cut the leaf image in Granny Apple Green card and placed some vellum behind it to soften the background designer paper pattern. The flowers were inked with Mango Melody and then I used a sponge dauber to add some Poppy Parade around the edges before stamping onto white card.

Look at that gorgeous textured weave ribbon bow, so pretty!

Red Roses are so delightful

Today’s card is a very simple project using Stampin’ Up!s Petal Palette stamp set and coordinating thinlits, Petals & more!

This card does not have a sentiment on it as yet, but it could be used for so many different occasions; Wedding, Birthday, Anniversary, Mother’s Day, Easter, the options are endless!

Petal Palette & Tin Tile TIEF Stampin Up by Kate Morgan, Australia 2018.JPG

The Real Red card base is embossed using the Big Shot and the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing Folder. The flowers are stamped onto Shimmery White card with Memento Black ink and coloured with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Markers. I find it much easier to colour them first before cutting them out! I added some dimensionals to the back of the die cut and then some of the Copper Metallic Thread before placing onto the front of the card (even my nails match the card, lol).

Petal Palette & Tin Tile TIEF Stampin Up by Kate Morgan, Australia 2018.

The 1/8″ solid Real Red ribbon at the top was wrapped around the card. A tip here is to start tying the knot, but before completing the bow, place a glue dot under the join to help hold it tight and in place, then finish to tie the bow! It really does help in getting that perfect bow to sit nicely, rather than adding a bow separately.

The inside is decorated simply with another of the smaller flower bud images and coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Heart of Christmas: Santa’s Workshop

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

Today, I am sharing a couple of quick Christmas card ideas using the Santa’s Workshop Designer Series Paper. You need to check this out, because if you look closely, can you see the flocking? It is on the snowflakes and looks quite velvety, so pretty!

You can see it better here

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop Santas Workshop SDSP Holiday Catalogue 2018 Stampin Up by Kate Morgan Australia.

The sentiments are from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set with coordinating Dies to cut them out instead of fussy cutting with scissors. You’ve got to love that!!!!

On the inside I cut the sign post from a sheet of the paper.

This next card also uses the same products, but I embossed over the Designer Paper with the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love this lady image (also cut from the paper) she reminds me of a grandma who loves baking Christmas cookies!!!

For her to stand out a bit more from the background papers, I added a piece of Vellum cut with the Starburst Punch. Look at that flocking on her apron!!!

I placed this little elf on the inside. He reminds me of a little kid running inside to the smell of the cookies baking, yummy!!

I stamped the jar image onto vellum with Gray Granite ink, covered it with clear emboss powder and heat set it before die cutting it out using the coordinating Everyday Jars framelits. It was added to the card with glue dots hidden behind the lid and the bow!!!

I love decorating the inside of my card, so I stamped some of the foliage and placed a few small flowers on top. You may have noticed I don’t have any sentiments, but I deliberately left them off as this card could be used for so many different occasions and I haven’t got a specific one in mind just yet.

Heart of Christmas: Simply Elegant

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

Today, I am sharing another card focusing heavily on this stunning Joyous Noel Designer paper and the coordinating Joyous Noel Glimmer.

I was inspired by a card created by Amy Koenders and it really caught my eye. I used the same piece of DSP (because it is my favourite!) but I changed up the top section and the card base.
