Colour Creations: Old Olive – Lasting Lily Sympathy card

Welcome back to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring our 33rd colour; Old Olive.

I cased today’s card from page 18 of the Sale-a-bration brochure. This is a really great way of getting ideas when using a new stamp set!

My card base is actually Thick Whisper White which I have glued to an A5 piece of Old Olive card stock. But first, I embossed it with the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I also die cut the large circle and stamped the Lily stems behind onto the white card. I wrapped some Linen Thread twice around the Old Olive card, tied it in a bow to the right before gluing the entire piece to the card base.

I stamped the lilies in Daffodil Delight onto spare white card and fussy cut around them before adding them with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment on a strip of white card and used the Triple Banner punch on each end, and added with dimensionals. The inside of the card is simply stamped, but I did fussy cut the lily so it was the same as the front of the card!
