Cloud Cover: Impressions Abloom card

Welcome to Week 1 of the Colour Creations InstaHop. You can follow us on Instagram starting @craftwithkate. Each week we will showcase the Stampin’ Up! colours. For the first 5 weeks we showcase the new 2025-2027 In Colors and then continue with all the remaining colours in alphabetical order.

Week 1 – Cloud Cover

This handmade card features @stampinupofficial products; Impressions Abloom Bundle, Sweet Blooms stamp set and the Stylish Shapes dies along with the stunning Flower Garden Foils Specialty Paper. Just check out that beautiful embossed floral pattern!

The Foils layer is die cut with the oval in the Impressions Abloom dies and glued to a layer of Secret Sea card and glued to a Basic White card base. The inner white piece is run through the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder and adhered to the centre of the card.

The floral arrangement is die cut is Cloud Cover, Strawberry Slush (a returning colour) and Basic White. The centres of the flowers are dotted with Darling Duckling and Timid Tiger Stampin’ Write Markers, then Wink of Stella added for extra sparkle!

The banner with sentiment is die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies and added on Dimensionals. A White Baker’s Twine bow is added along with some 2025-2027 In Color™ Flat Pearls.

On the inside, I have added the oval frame diecut with some more of those beautiful diecut flowers.

Petal Pink: Sneak Peek of new product coming in March!

Week 42 – Petal Pink

I want to remind you that Saleabration ends this week, so if you want to earn some free products, ensure you place your order before 11pm on 28 February 2025.

Today I feature the Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Paper with some soon to be released Online Exclusive products on 4 March 2025; Thankful Garden Bundle, Patterns of Friendship stamp set and the Textured Notes Dies.

On the Poppy Parade card base, a layer of Petal Pink sits behind the Specialty Designer Papers. The next two layers are the Textured Notes dies in Petal Pink and Basic White.

Look at that gorgeous Gold Wow Emboss Powder melted on the outline of the feature image. It is coloured using the Thankful Garden Decorative Masks and Blending Brushes with the following inkpads: Petal Pink, Melon Mambo, Poppy Parade, Lemon Lime Twist and Granny Apple Green. Die cut with the copordinating die and attach on Dimensionals.

Open the card to find this gorgeous display with more Specialty paper and the word MUM in Gold Foil on each of the 3 popout panels!

On the back of the front panel, I added some Basic White card to write a special message.

It is my mum’s birthday tomorrow and this is the fun fold card I’ved made for her ♥

Pecan Pie: Mixed Florals

Week 41- Pecan Pie

Today I feature the Mixed Florals Bundle, Elements of Text and the Mixed Labels dies on Very Vanilla cardstock.

I heat embossed the large image and sentiment in Copper WOW Emboss Powder for something different. I used Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers; Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie to colour the image. All the background stamping is 2^nd generation (stamping onto scrap paper before onto the card for a lighter tone). I used the Light Pecan Pie marker to colour the Linen Thread.

Old Olive: Delightful Wishes

Week 39 – Old Olive

Today’s cards feature the Delightful Wishes Bundle (stamps and coordinating dies) and the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Cut a piece of Basic White card 14.3cm x 10cm, and some DSP the same size. Cut 2.5cm on the left side of the DSP and flipped it over to reveal the reverse pattern. This is adhered to the Basic White card with a piece of Daffodil Delight Satin Ribbon wrapped around across the DSP join and secured on the back. Add this panel to a Thick Basic White card base. The next layer is the reverse side of DSP in the same pack, matted on Basic White and adhered under the ribbon.

The stem is diecut in Pecan Pie card, the leaves and flowers stamped in Old Olive, Lemon Lolly & Daffodil Delight inks then diecut. These are all glued to the card base with Multipurpose Glue. The sentiment stamped in Old Olive, with the ‘wishing’ diecut and added on Mini Dimensionals. A ribbon bow is added along with some Brushed Brass Butterflies and Tiny Bee Trinkets. I added some extra depth to the flowers by adding some Watercolour Pencil highlights (Daffodil Delight & Pumpkin Pie).

On the inside and on the envelope more floral/leaf stamped & diecut images.

Card 2 – the images are all fussy cut from the DSP and added to a Basic White Spotlight on Nature die cut circle then onto a panel of Floral & Gingham Vellum. Some gold Open Weave Trim is folded in half lengthwise and adhered behind the left side of the Vellum.

This is adhered to a Basic White piece (14cm x 9.5cm) which has diecut flowers. The right side of the circle is trimmed to the card base.

The sentiment is stamped in Old Olive, diecut and added to the card on Mini Dimensionals. Some Tiny Bee Trinkets are added. On the inside, some more fussy cut images are added in the bottom corner as well as on the envelope.

Mixed Florals Lots of Love card

Again I feature the Mixed Florals bundle with another of the images in the set.

A Thick Basic White card base with Gold Foil diecut using the Stitched Rectangle dies. The Everyday Arches dies is the next layer with the stamped image popped up on top on Dimensionals.

The images are stamped in Versamark ink, Gold Emboss Powder added and melted with my Heat Tool. I used my Blends Combo Markers to colour the image; Boho Blue, Soft Sea Foam, Summer Splash, Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia.

The sentiment [Hearts of Elegance] is first stamped in Versamark ink then directly into Fresh Freesia ink and stamped onto Basic White cardstock. Clear Embossing Powder is added and melted with my Heat Tool before fussy cutting with Paper Snips. I added a Unbounded Love die cut piece behind it in Fresh Freesia. Some Twisted Gold Thread is tied in a bow and sits on a Glue Dot behind the sentiment. Wink of Stella is added to the two flower centres and petals, although this is hard to photograph.

On the inside and on the envelope, I added a simple stamped Fresh Freesia image which you can see in the first photograph above.

Today I feature the Mixed Florals bundle.

A Thick Basic White card base with a strip of the Wild Flowering DSP and a thinner strip of Gold Foil are placed to the left. The Everyday Arches dies (yes, my favourite) is dry embossed with the Starburst Embossing Folder, one of the Saleabration rewards with a qualifying order.

The image is stamped in Versamark ink, Gold Emboss Powder added and melted with my Heat Tool. I used my Water Painters to colour the image; Boho Blue, Summer Splash, Moody Mauve and Blackberry Bliss. I popped this up on Dimensionals.

The sentiment [Labeled with Love] is stamped in Moody Mauve on Basic White cardstock and I flagged one end with Paper Snips. I added some Purple Adhesive-backed Sequins (Saleabration free product), In Color™ Shimmer Gems and Twisted Gold Thread.

On the inside and on the envelope, I added a simple stamped Moody Mauve image.

Storybook Friends and Storybook Moments DSP

The Storybook Moments Collection caught my eye immediately when browsing through the new 2025 Jan-Apr Mini catalogue. It has all my favourite Beatrix Potter inspired characters, including Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck, etc. These images are pop out diecuts which are part of the DSP pack! Here’s what is included in this collection:

This cute little mouse sits on a Bubble Bath frame [Storybook Friends dies] with some text stamped it in Basic Beige ink using the Elements of Text stamp set. The Perennial Postage dies cut out the white layer which sits on a Bubble Bath matt. The flowers and leaves are from the Country Flowers dies.

Week 31 – Lemon Lime Twist

Today I feature a side step card design with the Country Woods DSP and the Country Flowers bundle.

I’m not sure if you can see it clearly in the photo, but there is stitching of White Baker’s Twine on the left panel. I die cut the two long dies (Everyday Details dies) that look like rows of dots (see below).

I used a needle to thread the twine and it adds extra texture to the card. The pieces of patterned paper in the background are coloured around the edges with Lemon Lime Twist ink using Blending Brushes.

The two pots are also patterned paper and the one above is stamped in Smoky Slate ink. The flowers and leaves are die cut from Basic White card and coloured with Blends Combo Markers; Bubble Bath, Granny Apple Green, Lemon Lime Twist & Petunia Pop. The stool is coloured with Grey Granite & Smoky Slate. The Iridescent Jewels in the flower centres are coloured with the Dark Lemon Lime Twist Blends Marker.

Week 27 – Gorgeous Grape

Today I feature the Painted Lavender stamp set and coordinating dies with the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP) in a fun fold design.

Colour Combination - Gorgeous Grape

The front feature is stamped in second generation ink, meaning I stamped off on scrap paper before applying to the card. I also stamped this same image in full strength onto Basic White card and die cut it to add over the top on Dimensionals. The greenery is die cut in white and Pretty Peacock ink applied with a blending brush. Gorgeous Grape ink is also applied around all edges of the white layer. The lavender and butterflies have Wink of Stella on them for some sparkle.

As you open the centre panel, it reveals two beautiful Gorgeous Grape doors, dry embossed with one of the Fun Patterns Embossing Folders.

Then continue to open to find a stamped panel, with some more images from the stamp set. These are coloured with Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape and Pretty Peacock, but wait, there is more. Open that panel up to reveal your message and some more gorgeous stamped images!

Today I feature the To Market Designer Paper in this fun layout, using Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie and Basic White.

How did I make it?

Begin with a sheet of Garden Green cardstock cut to 29.7cm x 10.5cm, score @ 14.8cm to create a top folding portrait orientation standard sized card.
Cut a piece of DSP 10cm x 14.2cm and cut in half down the centre. Flip one piece over the reveal the reverse pattern and glue them side by side to the card base.
Cut another piece of DSP 7.5cm x 10.5cm and a matt layer of Garden Green card 8cm x 11cm and glue them together.
Wrap some green Natural Tones Linen Thread around the right side three times and tie in a bow. Adhere this to the centre of the card on Dimensionals.
Die cut a different floral pattern from the same DSP pack using a circle from the Spotlight on Nature dies and glue this to the previous layer, overhanging it slightly on the left.
Diecut the Basic White banner [Stylish Shapes dies] and stamp the sentiment [Simply Said] in Garden Green ink.
Cut a piece of the green Festive Glimmer Paper 1cm x 7cm and adhere to the back of the banner with Glue Dots.
Cut a Golden Woven Leaves in half and add to the back of the banner with Glue Dots on the lower left 7 upper right. Adhere this to the lower part of the circle on Dimensionals.
Die cut three flowers [Country Birdhouse dies] in Pumpkin Pie cardstock and add with Glue Dots to the card.
Finish off by adding some Brushed Brass Butterfly Embellishments and Adhesive-backed Sparkle Gems to the centre of each flower.
On the inside a Basic White insert 10.5cm x 7.3cm with a strip of the floral DSP to carry over the design!

TIP: I cut a sheet of A4 cardstock down the centre at 10.5cm, then cut each of these into 7.4cm pieces, so I can get 8 inserts from one sheet of cardstock!
