Hi, if you follow my blog, you will be seeing loads of butterflies as this is one of my favourite suites in the Occasions catalogue. I also love how so many products coordinate with the Gingham Gala DSP, Gingham Gala adhesive backed Sequins, Organdy Ribbon Pack and the Botanical Butterfly DSP. It really does make card making so easy and takes the stress away and just allows you to create. This is the reason I became a demonstrator almost 6 years ago!

The Stitched Rectangle Framelits dies are not really suited for our Australian card stock sizes, however, I love them and will try anything to make them work for us Aussies! As you can see, I cut a piece of Gingham Gala DSP to the same A5 card size and placed the framelit towards the top and cut it out. I glued this to my card base. I cut a piece of the Botanical Butterfly DSP and then cut it in half and placed it inside the frame. I used some of the Grapefruit Grove Grosgrain Ribbon across the top and added a bow.

I stamped the butterflies, punched them out and added a sentiment to the top section of the card. I also added some sequins and then finished with Wink of Stella on the butterflies, including the ones on the DSP!

I placed two more butterflies on the inside of the card.

Square Note card with Butterfly Gala

Today, I have a square notecard using the Butterfly Gala stamp set, coordinating Dual Butterfly punch & the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (can be earned free with a qualifying order!)

I have also used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies even though I have made a square card. You may be wondering how I did that? Well, I cut two pieces of DSP with the one framelit and then cut a third of the Butterfly piece from the bottom and two thirds of the Gingham Gala DSP from the top and joined them together. I then placed some of the Grapefruit Grove ribbon across the join!

I stamped the butterfly in black ink and used Grapefruit Grove, Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight to colour them before adding, you guessed it, Wink of Stella! I joined the two butterflies with dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment onto the Gingham section with Black ink.

Colour Creations: Night of Navy – Incredible Like You

Welcome back to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring our 32nd colour; Night of Navy.

My card tonight uses the colour combination: Night of Navy, Calypso Coral, Flirty Flamingo, Bermuda Bay & Mossy Meadow.

We received this stamp set, Incredible Like You, at OnStage as an all attendee giveaway and I really wasn’t sure about it. But, the only thing to do is open it up, find some coordinating colours and stamp and it turned out okay!

I do love the Flirty Flamingo/Calypso Coral combination of the flowers. Don’t they look great?!! I stamped them on Whisper White and fussy cut them. The bottom one I added with dimensionals rather than glue and I placed a small piece of the Flirty Flamingo ribbon behind it.

A Little Note with Butterfly Gala

Today’s card uses the Butterfly Gala Bundle and the stunning Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder with some Sale-a-bration products; Botanical Butterfly DSP & the Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack! These can be selected during January – March 2019 with each $90+ order.

I love Highland Heather, Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White together. It is a stunning combination.

Just check out that Botanical Butterfly DSP. It is just so pretty and I think this piece is my favourite in the pack. By using a small strip of it like this down one side of the card, you can make plenty of cards with one sheet!

I added some Wink of Stella to the butterfly for some added shine. A piece of the Organdy ribbon was placed behind the circles for a little more interest and texture.

On the inside, I added the simple sentiment which can be used for many occasions, and a couple more of the smaller butterflies.

Beauty Abounds in bright bold colours!

Today, I share a card that uses some new products from the Occasions catalogue, Beauty Abounds Bundle.

What do you think of this colour palette; Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather & Melon Mambo? I think it is gorgeous!!!! The above photo looks a little dark (sorry about that) and the Melon Mambo butterflies look more like Lovely Lipstick… oops, bad photography.

I used the Embossing Mats with the large butterflies die and ran it through the Big Shot with the Highland Heather Heather cardstock. Then I die cut the Melon Mambo butterflies die and glued it with Tombo Multipurpose over the top.

The bubbles were stamped off once before stamping on the Highland Heather cardstock for a lighter colour.

I added some of the Glitter Enamel dots for some sparkle and they really gave it a gorgeous, bright, lift of colour.

On the inside, I simply stamped the image in Coastal Cabana ink ad coloured the flowers with the Wink of Stella.

Beauty Abounds with stunning Monarch Butterflies for the start of Sale-a-bration!

Tomorrow is the start of Sale-a-bration and the release of the Occasions catalogue 2019!!!

Are you excited? There are so many gorgeous new products and I’d love to know what will be first on your shopping list. I must confess, I loved so much, but I had to have some self control and started with the butterflies. I just cannot live without them!

Some of our lovely team ladies took part in a card swap, which meant we made 11 of the same card, sent them to Claire who divided them up and returned 11 cards to us. The variety is amazing and to see what this talented group of ladies came up with was awe-inspiring!

Here is the one I made using the Beauty Abounds bundle; Beauty Abounds Stamp set and the coordinating Butterfly Beauty Thinlits dies. I love how there are 2 dies and they overlap for that stunning two tone look.

This colour palette; Black, White & Pumpkin Pie, reminds me of the most common monarch butterflies we have here in Australia and we have had plenty of them this spring and summer!

I used my Stamparatus to setup all the stamp images to make it so much quicker and easier when making multiples of the one card – awesome!

The inside I stamped the sentiment and butterfly and rounded 2 corners of the Whisper White card stock using the Envelope Punch Board!

Colour Creations: Melon Mambo in Needlepoint

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Melon Mambo!!! This was one of the first colours I purchased through Stampin Up almost 6 years ago, I just love it.

This card uses the Needlepoint Nook suite of products from the upcoming Occasions catalogue, which will be available to purchase in January 2019. If you would like to get these earlier, you can join my team and purchase them in December (one of the perks of being a demonstrator)!

I have used Melon Mambo, Mango Melody and Pool Party as my colour combination.

I love when a stamp set has coordinating framelits, it makes it so much easier than fussy cutting images. I also love the faux stitching die used as the background on the Pool Party card, don’t you?!!!

On the inside I’ve added the sentiment in Pool Party ink and I can think of many recipients I could give this card too at this moment in time. I love the mixed fonts; it gives it a little something extra!

Colour Creations: Lovely Lipstick in a Beautiful Bouquet

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Lovely Lipstick and this is my photo inspiration. How gorgeous are the colours of these flowers?! My dear friends gave me this following a couple of weeks of poor health and they certainly cheered me up!

What Stampin’ Up! colours do you see? Apart from Lovely Lipstick, I see Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape!

I was so inspired by these flowers that I had to use the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set with coordinating Bouquet Bunch Framelits dies!

There is very little stamping on this card, only the sentiment and the Green flowers. Everything else is die cut using the framelits and glued to the card with Tombo Multipurpose Adhesive. I did add some Wink of Stella to the bow!

Colour Creations: Highland Heather in Abstract

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Highland Heather!!! This is a new colour this year and it is very pretty.

My first thought was, “oh what the heck will I feature?” and so I starred at all of my stamp sets for ages. I selected Abstract Impressions, as I haven’t used it very much but I adore the Springtime Impressions Thinlits dies that are part of the bundle saving 10%.

My colour combination is:

Highland Heather

Grapefruit Grove

Whisper White

I glued the layers of Grapefruit Grove and Highland Heather together then ran it through the Big Shot with the Ruffled Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder.

I stamped the flower images onto whisper white card. The Grapefruit Grove I stamped off once before stamping, as I wanted a softer look. The Highland Heather is stamped in full strength. I then cut the banner at the bottom with paper snips. This was glued to the embossed layers.

The features across the centre has a Highland Heather banner, some Grapefruit Grove Grosgrain ribbon, Gold Mini Sequin Trim. The Vellum die cut with the large floral die and some Gold Metallic Thread sits behind the purple banner. Then I added the die cut butterfly with glue and added a ribbon bow to finish it off. I also added some Share What You Love Artisan Pearls across the white banner.
