Brightly Gleaming Dashing Deer

Tonight is a copper detailed deer from the Annual catalogue. I’m really pleased it carried over from last Christmas, as it has been a favourite of mine. I am teaming it up tonight with the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer paper from the current Holiday catalogue. Don’t you just love all those foil elements?!

Did you notice these Ornate Frames dies in the Halloween section? Here in Australia, Halloween is not as big as in the USA, and I don’t create for the occasions, but these really looked fabulous and I got them to use for sentiments. You wouldn’t believe how many different stamp sets fit into them!!!

The Delicata Celestial Copper ink looks fab on dark card as do the leafy foil elements behind the sentiment. On the inside, I simply added some more of the ribbon wrapped around a strip of Night of Navy card and adhered it all to some Very Vanilla card stock.

Heart of Christmas is the Most Wonderful Time

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop 2019

The Most Wonderful Time Product Medley on page 39 in the Holiday catalogue is featured again tonight.

Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.JPG

I cannot tell you how quick it has been to create cards with this medley. You can pretty much cut up different pieces of DSPs from the pack to different sizes and just add them to your cards as they all coordinate. I start doing this and then work out what size I want the feature piece to be. In this first card, I wanted a square and because I chose the DSP with the trees, I thought it would be perfect to stamp the smaller tree and add the reindeer.

The banner stickers make adding sentiments super fast too!

Most Wonderful Time Product Medley by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2019 Holiday catalogue.jpg

This next card I kept the DSP to one larger piece and added the feature in the centre with some ovals. The tree in the centre is a sticker and I just added some of the tinsel trim around it and a Copper Star Element on top.

The sentiment is stamped in the Golden Glitz Delicata metallic ink on Thick Whisper White card.

Fancy Tree & Brightly Gleaming Ornament

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop 2019

I am using the Brightly Gleaming DSP from the Holiday catalogue again for tonight’s projects. I have simply punched the smaller ornament 6 times from different papers in this pack and glued them to the card in a tree shape. Even the sentiment was perfect for the trunk. The background is embossed with the Scripty Embossing Folder and I used the Delicata Copper Metallic ink pad around the edges and placed a copper star element on top of the tree. I also added some of the Noble Peacock Rhinestones for extra sparkle.

Brightly Gleaming Tree by Kate Morgan Australia Stampin Up 2019 Holiday.JPG

My next project also uses the Brightly Gleaming DSP, but this time a Christmas decoration to hang on your Christmas Tree! It is simply made using the 2″ circle punch with 12 circles folded in half and glued together. The Copper Trim coordinates perfectly and is 12″ folded in half with a knot at one end. Place it through the centre before gluing the final circles together. This one looks a little battered as my cat decided she wanted to tap it off my craft table and chase it around the room 😯

Sip Sip Hooray in a Buckle Fold card

Tonight I share a Buckle Fold card that I made for one of my team members who recently promoted. I think she is a star and I know she loves to party, so you will understand the products used!!!

I have used the Brightly Gleaming DSP and the Sip Sip Hooray stamp set from the Holiday catalogue. Who said this Designer Paper needed to be for Christmas projects?!!

This card looks very fancy, but really it was so quick and easy to create. Here it is open and you can see how the belt tucks into the buckle!

The Most Wonderful Time is Christmas

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop 2019

The Most Wonderful Time Product Medley on page 39 in the Holiday catalogue is awesome and you get all of these items to create as many projects that you can come up with. It is wonderful value with a full stamp set, coordinating dies, as well as all the papers and embellishments.

Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.JPG

The only extra things you need are ink, glue, card bases and clear blocks for your stamps, but I’m sure you have these things at home already!

You won’t believe how quick and easy it is to make cards – I was able to make 7 cards in one morning! I stamped and die cut lots of the trees and presents and then had them on hand ready to add to my cards. Sometimes it’s easier to do this and then you have spares on hand to add to future projects and same time inking and cleaning in between.

Most Wonderful Time Product Medley by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2019 Holiday catalogue.jpg

Look how shiny and bright that gold foil star is, atop the tree!

I just adore the gold foil accent on all of the pieces of Designer Paper in this pack. It is simply stunning.

For this card I added some of the Snowfall Accent Puff Paint to the tree!

Mosaic Mood in Sunburst

I’ve used the Mosaic Mood DSP from the Annual catalogue for this card tonight. This is the Sunburst Technique and is a great way to showcase lots of patterns. I cut 4 different patterns of 6” x 1½” and cut each of those diagonally. Take a piece of scrap card stock and cut it 5mm smaller than your card front, cover it with Snail Adhesive. Start adding your pattern pieces from the bottom (the paper will over-hang off the card). Once you have covered the card, trim the excess off from around the card with your trimmer or scissors.

I covered the corner with a Stitched Circle Framelit in Blushing Bride and trimmed the excess hanging over the edge. The bird is fussy cut from one of the pieces of DSP and added with dimensionals. This layer is added to the Garden Green card base.

For more information about the promotion, contact any of the ladies on the blog hop and we will be happy to help you.

If you’re already hopping, then you just came to me from the talented, Sharon Davern. If you’re just joining, great! Use the “next” button at the end of my post to hop all the way around. Blog Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post there is a link to the next one. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

Now let’s get started!

Project #1 This Woven Threads DSP is just stunning and features the new In Colours. I have chosen the piece with Seaside Spray and Terracotta Tile. By punching the pieces of DSP and gluing them down with a small gap between them, creates this wonderful effect. The ribbon and the Ornate Frames Dies are from the Holiday catalogue and coordinate perfectly. These dies are part of the Halloween suite, however I love them on their own with other stamped sentiments.

Project #2 The Perennial Essence DSP is stunning and reflects Monet’s artworks. Having studied art at school, this was the first DSP added to my list. The Floral Essence Bundle coordinates with it and I added the flower to the bottom corner, so the DSP is the showcase.

Here is a closer look at the Delicata Golden Glitz inkpad on the vellum. I wasn’t sure how well it would dry and I was impatient, so I added clear embossing powder and heat set it. I was amazed that the glimmer still showed through so well!

Project #3 This card is a CASE (Copy & Share Everything) from a card on page 132 of the Annual Catalogue, although I have changed up lots of the products. The See a Silhouette DSP is so bold and bright and I found this pattern very overpowering, but by cutting the images out, you produce something wonderful! I adore these Heirloom 3D Frames too for the embossed background.

Heart of Christmas: Week 4

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop 2019

Tonight’s Heart of Christmas card is a very simple one cased from Linda Dalke.

The holly image is stamped twice in Pretty Peacock ink in two corners before adding the centre piece over the top on dimensionals.

The Night of Navy card layer under the Designer Series Paper with the two baubles stamped in copper ink and punched out, also added with dimensionals. I love the knots of ribbon added to each one. The sentiment is stamped with Pretty Peacock ink on Very Vanilla card and added with Tombo Mulitpurpose glue.
