2022-23 CCBH Logo

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.

Week 38 – Polished Pink

Today’s cards use two Sale•a•bration rewards; the beautiful pack of 12″x12″ patterned papers, Dandy Designs and the Adorable Owls stamp set.

Dandy Designs DSP

Just look at the fun patterns on those papers and you get 48 sheets which is double the amount of most packs!

Adorable Owls stamp set

My first card today is a Polished Pink card base with three strips of the Dandy Designs papers. The middle piece is the reverse pattern of the other two!

The Adorable Owl is stamped in Black Memento ink and coloured with alcohol Blends Combo Markers; Pale Papaya, Pool Party, Medium Combo, Medium Deep, Polished Pink & Fresh Freesia. It is die cut with the Layering Circles Framelits dies and the edge sponged with Fresh Freesia ink using a dauber. A Polished Pink banner from the Stylish Shapes dies is glued to the card. Some Metallic Woven Ribbon (Sweet Sorbet) was added then the circle added with Dimensionals.

Some Wink of Stella is added to the party hat and eyes of the owl. Polished Pink In Color Jewels were added for more sparkle. The Basic White insert is stamped with Polished Pink ink and a narrow strip of DSP added across the bottom.

My next card also uses the Adorable Owls along with the Dainty Delight Bundle. The Basic Border Dies were used the cut the edge of the front of the card, before dry embossing it with the Pretty Flowers Embossing folder.

I die cut the Polished Pink flowers and the Gold Foil centres and the leaves. Two of these were cut and joined together to create the wreath effect. The flowers are popped up on Mini Dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink, White Emboss Powder added and melted using the Heat Tool. Then it was die cut using the banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies. This was also added on Dimensionals. The owl is stamped and fussy cut using Paper Snips and coloured using Stampin’ Blends Markers; Pool Party (Dark), Pale Papaya (Dark), SU500, SU600 & SU700. Some of the Fine Tip Glue was added to the eyes for extra shine!

On the inside I placed some Designer Paper down the side and another little die cut flower with the gold foil centre. The envelope also has the same flower in the bottom left corner!

Waves of the Ocean Collection 161797

My card is using the Waves of Inspiration Bundle (stamps & dies) and is a fairly simple design aimed at the casual crafter. I first stamped the wave in Pacific Point ink, then used basic white & the supple shimmer card to die cut two of the intricate layers. I glued the white layer on first and took my blending brush with some pool party ink and blended some colour across the wave. The clouds are created using the Basic Borders dies and gently brushing ink starting at the top of the card and working down to the wave.

I then glued the (Pool Party) Supple Shimmer layer on top to get that gorgeous sparkle for the breaking wave. The pelican image is inked by placing Crumb Cake ink for the pelican and Soft Suede ink for the posts before stamping down onto the white card. Die cut this and place on the card with mini dimensionals. The sentiment and birds flying off into the distance are also stamped in Soft Suede ink. Lastly, I added some Wink of Stella to the feathers of the pelican.

Plentiful Plants Thank you card

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Did you have a win on the Melbourne Cup yesterday? I don’t follow the horse racing but I am thankful for the day off work and yesterday’s weather was glorious!

Week 23 – Just Jade

This card is created using the product suite, Bloom Where You’re Planted. The Basic Border dies were used to cut either end of the Gray Granite card to create a panel. I used the Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks and a Blending Brush to create the pattern with the same colour ink.

The hanging basket is die cut from the Silver Foil and the bow is from the Flowers For Every Season Ribobn Combo Pack. The foliage is stamped in Just Jade and Soft Succulent. The front plant has Wink of Stella on it, but it doesn’t show very well in the photo. The pot in the hanging basket is stamped in Gray Granite.

On the inside a piece of the DSP is added along the bottom and die cut pot and plant from the patterned paper were added with a stamped sentiment.
