Stamparatus Storage with Monogram Tag

Dear Crafters,

I’m popping in this morning for this brief post, as I’m heading to Sydney this morning for the OnStage event tomorrow at Luna Park!

I won’t be able to share all the excitement until Tuesday when the spoiler alert ban is lifted, but I’m certain there will be lots of new product and gorgeous goodies in the upcoming Annual catalogue, a copy of which I will get my hands on tomorrow!

Today I share something I have created for Bev who is going to Sydney with me. We usually make swaps (card fronts) to take to these events to swap with other demonstrator friends, but I completely ran out of time with work being so busy and with Easter on top of that 😦

You may remember I posted earlier in the week with a different form of storage for the Stamparatus to sit on your desk, you can see it here if you missed it, but today I have this idea for travelling with your Stamparatus!

Luckily I managed to get my hands on a couple of these toiletry bags from Kmart which are the perfect size and storage idea to fit our new Stamparatus. I’m guessing there will be many others who rush out and purchase one, and they only come in black, so I needed to find a way to make them our own, and what better way than with a Monogram tag!

First of all, I die cut the 3rd largest die from the Lots of Labels Framelits and cut the shape from Shrink Plastic (or shrinky dinks), then punch a hole at one end. It’s critical you do this before heating and shrinking it! Next, stamp your images. I’ve used Basic Black archival ink for the large letter and Pumpkin Pie ink to stamp the heart from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set. Then let the magic begin as you heat it with your heat tool and watch it shrink!

and here is the toiletry bag open…. it actually could hold 2 Stamparatus if you had them, as an easier way to transport them to Workshops outside of your home!

and once I made Bev’s, I had to make one for myself, of course! I love butterflies, so I stamped them in Bermuda Bay ink. The small mobile phone lanyards were purchased on eBay.

Dear Crafters,

It’s getting exciting now, as many Stampin’ Up! demonstrators are heading away this week for the OnStage events around the country. I am heading to Sydney on Friday afternoon for Saturday’s event at Luna Park. We will be honoured to have Sara Douglass, CEO of Stampin’ Up! at our event, so we are very lucky to have her host our event.

I won’t be able to share any of the fun until Tuesday 10th April when the spoiler alert ban is lifted, but this event is where we get to see lots of new product that will be in the upcoming Annual catalogue. It is such an exciting time of year!

Today I share some more hearts from the Heart Happiness and Sure Do Love You Bundle in the Occasions catalogue. Even though Sale-a-bration is over for another year, the Occasions catalogue still runs through to the end of May!

I love how these stamp sets coordinate and can be used for so many different things, not just Valentines Day. Today’s card can be used for a Birthday or a thank you…. with the sentiment, Just for you, it can be anything you want it to be.

I love this colour combination of Powder Pink, Melon Mambo and Whisper White together. By just adding some simple layers, you can create a wonderful effect. The tiny hearts are stamped to create a more interesting background.

Stamparatus Storage for your craft desk

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a project that I have created to store my brand new Stamparatus in while it sits on my craft desk!!!

Yes, I got mine early in the first release, but never fear, it will soon be in the upcoming Annual catalogue to purchase. When you see it in action, believe me, it will be at the top of your shopping list. It is awesome!

The Designer paper is from the Delightful Daisy DSP pack and I hadn’t used it as the print is very bold and large, but I do actually like it and think it is a very happy design and makes me smile. So what better way to use it, than cover this box/storage for my Stamparatus. I just cut down the box that it came in, and covered it with the DSP.

Here is the back with the stand I made out of some of the cardboard backings which come with the foil sheets! Waste not, want not!!!

I cut it down to 6″ x 6″ and then scored one side at 2½” & 3½”. Using a pencil, I marked ½” from each scoreline.

Then I rotated 90 degrees and marked 1″ at the opposite end with a pencil on the top and bottom. From this mark to the v” mark cut both sides so you end up with a triangle type shape. Place the largest of the Lots of Labels framelits dies 2½” from the top, lining it up inside the centre of the scorelines. Place it in the Big Shot, but don’t run it all the way through, just about 1½” or so. Where you stop cutting with the framelit, use scissors to cut to the scorelines on each side, then you can fold on the scorelines and glue together.

Not sure if this makes sense, but you can probably see what I mean from the picture below.

Today is my 5 year anniversary with Stampin’ Up! Wow, who would have thought that I would still be a demonstrator all this time?!! Certainly not me, but here I am, loving these amazing products as much as ever!

I have used Basic Black as my card base for a striking effect. Using coordinating colour card as a square behind the DSP brings the colours all together. along with the stunning ribbons, tied with a bow.

Heart Happiness meets Springtime Foils

Dear Crafters,

Today is all about hearts, with the Heart Happiness stamp set, the Sweet and Sassy Framelits and the Springtime Foils DSP!

I have used Powder Pink, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White as my colour combination.

I coloured the Springtime Foils DSP with the Powder Pink ink pad, swiping it across the paper to add the colour quickly. I cut it down to the required size and placed it on the bottom section of the white card. I stamped the small hearts with Powder Pink ink to the top half. I added some ribbon and a double bow, before gluing it to the front of the card.

All the hearts were stamped and die cut and then added across the centre of the card with dimensionals.

I added some basic pearl jewels for some added bling!

The inside of the card was also decorated with another heart at the top and a slice of the coloured Springtime Foils DSP at the bottom.

I don’t actually have this set, but a few team members got together recently and we love to share stamps sets on the day, that we may not own ourselves. It’s a great way for team bonding and getting to try sets we may not appreciate until you have a go!

Don’t you think that circle image looks a bit like the moon? The way it is shaded just the reminds me of that! The sentiment is also from the same set and I stamped it in Dapper Denim ink.

Shaker card using Mini Embroidery Hoops

Dear Crafters,

Today’s card uses the mini embroidery hoops that are in the Occasions catalogue on page 14. To be honest, I really didn’t know what to do with them, but they were so cute I bought them anyway. I decided to make mine into a shaker card!

I used the larger of the two embroidery hoops and glued a circle of window sheet to the front. In the meantime I continued putting together the rest of the card. Once the hoop was dry, I was able to add the sequins in a little pile behind and glue the hoop over the top onto the card.

Don’t you love that new embossing folder? It is the Basket Weave dynamic TIEF which is one of the 2nd release Saleabration items, but it will be carrying over into the new Annual catalogue in June!

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a 6th birthday card using the No Bones About It stamp set from the Annual catalogue. This is a photopolymer set, so it is completely clear to see exactly where you are stamping, which you need to create this card!

You see the card base is Emerald Envy with a large circle die cut in the centre.

Next I decorated the inside of the card with washi tape, and glued the layer down. Then I closed the card and stamped the solid image of the dinosaur through the circle to centre it.

I then die cut a large circle of window sheet, slightly bigger than the one used on the front of the card and glued it to the front. I then die cut the black scallop circle using 2 of the Layering Circles Framelits dies to create a border which is glued on top again to hide the edges of the window sheet.

Then I stamped the skeleton of the dinosaur on the window sheet with Archival black ink, so as to line it up perfectly.

Here you can see the layers of how the card opens with the window sheet on the front and the solid image stamped on the inside of the card!

The sentiment was stamped on white card and I used the Everyday Label punch to cut it out. It was too big, so I cut it down further by placing it back in the punch and making it smaller. The Leaf punch was used and added with mini dimensionals.

Here’s the inside of the card. I added the large number 6 die cut in silver foil. I used up some of my retired washi tape with the current Myths and Magic washi tape for some added sparkle!
