Today I share a great stamp set from the Sale-a-bration 2017 catalogue, Tasty Trucks. The kids are going to love this one!!!

Begin by stamping the image in Basic Black ink and let it dry.

Using the Watercolour Pencils, colour the image and blend with a Blender Pen.

I stamped the sentiment onto the Melon Mambo card before running it through the Big Shot with the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Glue all the layers together!

Today I share some watercolouring with a gorgeous, must have stamp set from the Occasions 2017 catalogue, Beautiful You.

Begin by stamping the image in Basic Black ink and let it dry.

Using the AquaPainter and inks, watercolour the sky from the top, getting slightly lighter as you get to the bottom of the page.

Using the new Watercolour Pencils, colour the image and use the Blender Pen to blend the colour! These are just a fabulous product I can see myself using lots and lots!

I stamped the sentiment onto vellum and added it with Tombo glue.

I added some Wink of Stella to the umbrella.

Carousel Birthday

Today I share another gorgeous suite from the Occasions 2017 catalogue, Cupcakes and Carousels.

I love how simple this card is with just stamping directly onto the Designer Series paper, but then adding a little dimension with the cupcake tops!

Begin by stamping all the images in Black ink. Then stamp the carousel again with versamark ink onto whisper white card and adding copper embossing powder and heat setting it. This set coordinates with the Up & Away thinlits, which were used to die cut the cupcake icing. Add each one with 1/2 a dimensional.

Dragonfly Dreams

Today I share a sneak peek of some new products arriving in January 2017 from the Occasions catalogue, the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle!

I love the blues and purples in this card. I’ve used Marina Mist with Elegant Eggplant!

Below the purple die cut, I also die cut some vellum and glued it down with Tombo glue. Are you wondering why you can’t see the glue? Well, if you gently sponge it to the back of the vellum evenly, you won’t have any visibility of how you have adhered it! Same with the sentiment!

The top layer of the dragonfly was run through the Big Shot with a tan embossing mat so it didn’t cut through completely, but left the embossed look.

I also added some Wink of Stella to the body of the dragonfly some some added sparkle.

Watercolour Dragonflies

Today I share another sneak peek of the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle, but this time using the emboss resist technique.

I love how simple but effective this technique is!

Begin by stamping the images in Versamark ink, then add clear embossing powder and heat set.

Using the AquaPainter and ink, brush on the colour blending the two together in the centre. I’ve used Calypso Coral and Marina Mist.

To get those dots, I dropped tiny amounts of water from the AquaPainter, let it sit for a minute or two, then dabbed off with some paper towel. This lifts the colour already added.

I also added a vellum dragonfly and some pearls to the body.

As you know, myself and a couple of my team went to Brisbane a few weeks ago for the OnStage Live event and these were some of the products I was fortunate to purchase on a premier pre-purchase order. You too can get your hands on these earlier than 2017 if join my team!!

This new designer series paper is called Carried Away and you can get it for free with any $90 order from January 4th 2017.

It coordinates with the stamps set, Lift Me Up and the Up and Away Thinlits.

I also loved this sentiment and thought it was very appropriate for celebrating Deb’s 1st year anniversary!

Falling in Love, 12″x 12″

As you know, myself and a couple of my team went to Brisbane a few weeks ago for the OnStage Live event for demonstrators. We had a ball and so I had to scrapbook a couple of photos from our time away. It was Kim’s first Stampin’ Up! event and she was totally stunned with the amount of product we received as well as the information shared and new friendships made. We certainly have many memories to giggle about, especially with Bev’s multiple mishaps, from forgetting her boarding pass for the plane, finding out she wasn’t registered when we arrived and losing her sunnies on the last day. She certainly kept us entertained!!!

We would also like to thank Judy (far right) for being our room mate for a few days.

These new designer series papers are called Falling in Love and yes, my favourite Blushing Bride colour makes its appearance. I think they made these papers for me!

The font was printed using my computer using Blushing Bride onto Very Vanilla card!

And the new Very Vanilla ribbon is just beautiful, especially teamed with the Very Vanilla Lace Trim we currently have in the Annual catalogue.

AWHT Blog Hop: It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Today some of the Art with Heart Stampin’ Up! team girls have created some amazing Christmas projects to inspire you with the theme, It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! We have tags, gift bags, teacher gift ideas, decorations and many more fun projects to create this holiday season.

Now let’s get started!

It’s heading to that time of year when my kids are finishing school for the Christmas break and they like to give their teacher a little thank you gift. So this year, I have made each of them these little post it note holders, but also incorporated the mini calendar!

I have used the Candy Cane Lane DSP and Cookie Cutter Christmas Bundle.

My next project is a little gift tag holder which can hold up to 10 gift tags.

Here are some of the gift tags I have made to put in this holder. This is another great gift idea for those busy teachers who don’t have much time in the lead up to Christmas!

Here I have used Christmas Pines and Presents & Pinecones DSP, Star of Light and Starlight thinlits, Cookie Cutter Christmas Bundle, Thoughtful Banners Bundle.

I love using the designer series paper on my tags, hence why I use white tags so you can write your messages on the back!!!

This Santa was stamped and coloured with Stampin’ Write Markers. His cute santa hat was made using the Jolly Hat Builder Punch. The pinecone is die cut with the copper foil sheet.

Easel Calendar Card

Today I share another card using the Sweet Cupcake Bundle but it has been created as more of a gift that the recipient can keep all year long!

I’ve made this card for my husband’s aunt who loves my calendar cards and seeing as her birthday is on 1 December, it is perfect timing to send it to her with the 2017 calendar!

So today I have used the same colour scheme as Monday’s card; Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White. She wears a lot of orange so I thought this was perfect for her!

The ‘sweet’ is die cut using the Cupcake Cutout Framelits in the Gold Glimmer paper.

The card front is embossed using the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The Peekaboo Peach & white ovals are die cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits.

The icing is a 3-step stamping process using photopolymer stamps, so you can easily line them up. The first layer is So Saffron then Peekaboo Peach before the final layer of Watermelon Wonder. I also used the Clear Wink of Stella over the top for a shiny glazed effect! I stamped a die cut two of these cupcakes, one for the front and one for inside the card!

The mini calendar is placed at the bottom of the inside of the card, as this creates the easel.

Don’t forget to decorate inside your card and stamp on the envelope!
