Ninja Turtles

Ninja Turtles #stampinup

Dear Crafters,

My 6 year old has been invited to a 6th birthday party of one of her classmates and apparently he loves Ninja Turtles, so this is what I have made for him!

Ninja Turtles #stampinup

I added some of those cute googly eyes which I think give them so much more character.

I used the 1-1/4″ circle punch and the Large oval punch to create the turtles head from Wild Wasabi card.

The bandanna’s are made from 1/2″ strips of Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquoise & Real Red. The Triple Banner punch was used to create the ends of the bandanna.

The mouth is drawn by hand.

The black background is embossed with the Hexagon TIEF.

I saw a similar card on Pinterest, so not entirely my idea, but oh how cute are they?!

Gift Card Holder

Dear Crafters,

Gift Card Holder #stampinup

Today I share a couple of gift card holders (cased from Claire Daly) which are very simple to make.

You can create 3 of these from 1 x A4 sheet of cardstock by cutting it vertically at 7cm x 29.7cm!

I used the Lots of Labels Framelits to die cut the end of the card, then score it at 3-1/8″ and 7-3/4″.

Emboss the opposite end to the framelit cut end and adhere Stampin’ Up! Tear and Tape to create a pouch. (This tape can be cut vertically so you have a very thin strip, otherwise the gift card won’t fit in!)

Create a belly band that slips over to hold it shut and decorate however you like. I have used the 2-3/8″ Scallop circle punch and added some embellishments. The ice-cream is the Sprinkles of Life stamp set which can be found on the back page of the AC.

and here it is open with the gift card inside!

Incy Wincy Spider

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card using the new Spider Web Doilies and Black Glimmer Paper in the Holiday Catalogue (pg 47).

Incy Wincy Spider #stampinup

Seeing as we don’t celebrate Halloween here in Australia (like the USA do!), I didn’t particularly want to make Halloween cards or projects. But, I loved the spider web doilies and had to purchase them!!!!

I also loved the black glimmer paper and thought it would create the cutest, most sparkly spider and I was right!

Incy Wincy Spider #stampinup

See his legs? How did I make them you ask?

Well, notice that the doilie has been trimmed to fit in the top corner of the card?

The left over pieces I trimmed down to be his legs. No waste in this house!!!

I added some googly eyes to finish him off, cute hey?!!

Please let me know what you think of my card.

Layered Letters Alphabet Very Hungry Canterpillar #stampinup

I thought this was the perfect card for my nephews 1st birthday today!!!! Happy birthday little man!!!!

I have used the 2015/16 In Colours to create this card.

The base card is Cucumber Crush with a layer of Watermelon Wonder.

The stamped circle images are using Cucumber Crush, Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder on Whisper White cardstock and the legs and antennae in Tip Top Taupe .

His eyes are punched out with the circle punch and the dot from the ! is used to create the eyeballs and the nose.

His legs are the ends of the I and the antennae is the letter V!!!!

Mitchell’s name is stamped with Early Espresso ink with each letter fitting onto each section of the body perfectly.

Layered Letters Alphabet Very Hungry Canterpillar #stampinup

On the inside of the card, I stamped 3 plums in Perfect Plum ink (of course) and the stems are top half of the letter L.

Girly girl

Dear Crafters,

Hey Girl #stampinup

Today I share another card I made using the Hey Girl stamp set! I have used Coastal Cabana, Whisper White and Silver as my colour combination.

Hey Girl #stampinup

I stamped the image on the Whisper White card stock and then fussy cut it out with paper snips.  I coloured her using my Stampin’ Write Markers. Check out that Metallic Foil Doilie. Isn’t it cute? Well you get 24 in a pack and they come in 2 sizes in gold and silver for only $7.00. Check them out here.

The image is added using dimensionals and some twine holding the balloon. A very simple card, but it doesn’t need anything else!

Dino Roar

Dear Crafters,

Dinosaur Roar #stampinup

Today I share a card I made using the No Bones About It stamp set!

I have used Old Olive, Very Vanilla and Wild Wasabi as my colours combination.

Dinosaur Roar #stampinup

I stamped the skeleton image over the Very Vanilla card and then embossed it with the Large Polka Dot TIEF.

Dinosaur Roar #stampinup

Notice the inside panel? I cut it to size and then carefully stamped the dinosaur (from the front of the card) at one end and used the oval framelits to die cut it out, so I could use what was left for the inside panel of my card and stamp this next image in the centre of the oval. Never waste anything!!!!

Happy Birthday Ella!

Dear Crafters,

This is a very similar card to one I shared last week using the Hey Girl stamp set. This is for my daughter’s friend, Ella who is having a party after school today!

Hey Girl_2027

I have used a couple of Ella’s favourite colours; Melon Mambo, Whisper White and Silver to create the perfect card for a 6 year old.

I have used the Triple Banner Punch and the Little Numbers Thinlits. I fussy cut the image and coloured her using Copic markers. The sentiment is from the stamp set, And Many More.

Don’t forget to stamp the inside of the card to make it personal and the envelope to coordinate!
