Basket For You

Dear Crafters,

Tell me, who doesn’t love flowers? said no one ever!

Today’s card uses the Hostess Set, Basket For You. I have to admit, I didn’t really look twice at this set until I saw a card by one of my downline, Kimberly, who made a stunning card with this set.

I started by embossing the Flirty Flamingo card with the Petal Burst Textured Impression Embossing folder. Next I stamped the basket image and coloured it with the new 2016-2018 Stampin’ Write Markers and the basket was watercoloured using the Aquapainter.

I used the oval framelits for the main image (and paper pierced the edge) and deco label framelits to die cut the Peach behind it. These were adhered with dimensionals. The sentiment was cut out with paper snips!

I even stamped a small flower on the inside of the card and on the envelope (which I forgot to put in the photo!) oops.

Designer Jewellery!

Dear Crafters,

You probably looked at the heading and thought “What? Designer Jewellery? I thought this was a paper crafting site”. Well yes, today I have an extra blog post to share with you with some amazing projects that I have made using our Designer Series Papers!!! I love to showcase them in this way, because it is always a talking point when speaking with so many people. I get loads of wonderful comments and I’m always asked where I purchased them from…. well me of course!

Here is this Necklace and Earring Set made with the Floral Boutique DSP!

The jewellery items I purchased on eBay and I used my circle punches to cut the Designer Series Paper. The necklace circle was a little too big, so I did have to trim around the edges with paper snips for it to fit neatly inside the tray! I adhered it with Crystal Effects and then added some more Crystal Effects on top to add the glass circle. The earrings were done the same way.

And here are two more sets made with the Affectionately Yours DSP and the Blooms & Bliss DSP!

I have needed to make some thank you cards for some very special people who have been very supportive in helping me out since I had ankle surgery over 4 weeks ago now. I am starting to get up and walk again, but its a huge process. I certainly have a real empathy for those who struggle with any form of disability with the legs. I still have a cast on, but have a special shoe that I wear over the cast to be able to put some weight on it. Anyway, enough of me, lets get back to this stunning card!

Floral Phrases, Detailed Floral Thinlits, #stampinup, Thank you, 2016, #stampinupaustralia, Feminine Handmade Card, DIY, Sweet Sugarplum

I cut a piece of sweet sugarplum card down to fit inside the base card, before using the Detailed Floral Thinlits to die cut the floral images at both ends on the big shot machine using the precision plate. To get all the intricate bits out, I used the new die brush! This was adhered with Tombo Multipurpose Glue.

The sentiment was stamped and punched out with the Word Window punch.

I even stamped a coordinating image on the inside of the card and on the back of the envelope.

Today I use the brand new Detailed Floral thinlits dies, another of my must have on my first annual catalogue order!

I started by die cutting the black card with the thinlits and glued them to the top and bottom of the card, then stamped the sentiment and added the enamel dot.

Using the new 2016-2018 In Color Stampin’ Write Markers, I coloured all the flowers and leaves. Because the borders of the thinlits are black, it doesn’t matter how well you colour in as it doesn’t show on the black card!

Blooms & Wishes

Dear Crafters,

Today I have created a card that could be used for many different occasions, as it is so veratile. You have to check out the designer paper too, it is my favourite in this annual catalogue!

I started by adding a piece of designer paper to the card base and cut a strip of Island Indigo to the same length. A piece of white card was cut slightly smaller and then I randomly stamped the floral images and the sentiment before gluing them all together.

I added a strip of crumb cake which was punched with a retired border punch under the decorated strip. I punched the flowers in coordinating cardstock and added rhinestones. I love the watercolour look of these stamps!

How are you enjoying all the new products in the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue? Well, I have placed my order, but I am still waiting for it to arrive, but it should be any day now. I’m stalking the postie every morning, waiting for my delivery!

Here is a card style that I haven’t done for a while, but I love how they look. It may look difficult, but it actually is super easy to create and it still fits into your normal C6 envelope!

I love how bright and busy this Designer Series Paper is, however I felt I could only use it on one panel for a bold statement. The sentiment is from the new Thoughtful Banners stamp set and I can see many projects using this over the coming year.

I love how the Scallop Tag Topper punch is used to create the closing mechanism for this card and tied off with a coordinating ribbon bow. The inside of the card has been stamped on directly with the same petite petals stamp.

Check out that Wink of Stella on the pansy!

I added some White Perfect Accents to the centres of the smaller flowers, but they were too stark, so I coloured them with my Gold Sharpie to tone them down a little!

Birthday, feminine, Flowers, Stampin' Up!

Dear Crafters,

Today’s project I absolutely love but I am sad that the Greeting Thinlits and the Hello stamp set are no longer available. However, you could still create this card using different sentiments.

Botanical Builder Framelits, #stampinup, 2016 Annual catalogue, Greetings Thinlits, DIY, Bow Paper Clip Embellishments

The card base is Wild Wasabi, with the same colour as the next layer, only 5mm shorter. This layer has sponged edges with Wild Wasabi ink. I also punched the Extra Large oval punch and sponged the edges also.

I had some printed vellum left over (retired) so I stamped the Birthday Girl image onto it and glued it to the back of the wild wasabi layer. I added the Bow Paper Clip Embellishment.

The next step was die cutting all the leaves, flowers & hello sentiment and adding them to the card with Tombo adhesive and dimensionals.

Dear Crafters,

Is your product list growing as fast as mine with the excitement of the 2016-2017 Annual Catalogue going live on Wednesday?

Here is a card that was created using one of the Hostess stamp sets, Basket for You.

The image was stamped and die cut with the oval framelits, before water colouring with an Aqua Painter and ink pads in the new 2016-2018 In Colours. The basket is coloured using Sahara Sand and Tip Top Taupe.

The card base is the new Sweet Sugarplum, embossed with the Elegant Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. The next layer is a piece of Marina Mist Designer Series paper and a layer of Silver Glimmer paper edged with the Banner Triple punch.

The sentiment was stamped in coordinating ink and seeing as I don’t have the new Bunch of Banners Framelits yet, I had to fussy cut the sentiment! Poor me!!!!

I added the oval and the sentiment with dimensionals.

Rose Wonder Sympathy

Dear Crafters,

Today I share another card using the Rose Wonder stamp set and the coordinating Rose Garden thinlits!

This watercolouring technique is very easy and effective. The image is stamped with Veramark ink onto Watercolour paper and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then using an Aqua painter, coloured with inks.

Once dry, I fussy cut the image out and added it to the brick wall background with dimensionals. The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I think it is lovely for a sympathy card.
