I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 21 – Crushed Curry

free shipping 18 sept 2024

Today I feature the Frosted Forest Bundle and the Meandering Meadows Designer Paper in this thank you card.

Forever Forest Thank you card for Crushed Curry Colour Creations Blog Hop by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2024

On a Thick White card base, I stamped the large tree image twice in Basic Beige ink to give a watermark look. A strip of the designer paper with a small strip of Festive Glimmer above it, for a little sparkle, are adhered together. Some Linen Thread is wrapped around twice and tied in a bow. This is adhered to the lower half on the card.

The sentiment is stamped in Pecan Pie ink onto Crushed Curry cardstock and diecut with a banner from the Stlyish Shapes dies. This is adhered on Dimensionals to the card.

The tree is stamped in Pecan Pie ink before using the masks and Blending Brushes to colour the image. The trunk is Pecan Pie, while the leaves I started with Crushed Curry on the tops, followed by Lost Lagoon and then the final mask is Pretty Peacock ink. Once diecut, it was also added on Dimensionals. To finish off, some Pretty Peacock Tinsel Gems are added.

On the inside, a wide leftover strip of the DSP fits nicely down the right hand side, leaving enough space to write a message.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Daffodil Delight.

Please enjoy the wonderful inspiration of our next team member, Sharon Davern (it’s her all time favourite SU colour, hehe!!!).

Heart of Christmas Week 7: Stamping in the Round

Heart of Christmas Header 2024 - 1

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Monday evening for the AWHT Heart of Christmas Blog Hop showcasing Stampin’ Up! seasonal products.

Week 7

Today I feature the Labeled with Love stamp set to create this Stamping in the Round (SITR) or also known as Wreath Builder card. This technique is great with smaller images and these gifts could be used for Christmas or even done as a birthday card.

Labeled with Love Christmas Card Stamping in the Round SITR for Heart of Christmas Blog Hop Week 7 by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2024

My colour inspiration came from the Take a Bow 6″x6″ Designer Series Paper that you can see in  the background. The larger image is stamped in Granny Apple Green ink and the smaller image is coloured using Garden Green and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers directly applied to the stamp. Once this was done, it was matted onto a piece of Real Red cardstock and glued to the DSP.

Another gift image is stamped onto Granny Apple Green cardstock and circle diecut using the Stylish Shapes dies. This is added to the centre on Dimenionals. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink, White WOW Embossing Powder added and melted with my Heat Tool on Real Red cardstock. This is glued to the circle. Some Iridescent Adhesive-backed Discs are added for some shine!

On the inside, a strip of the same DSP and some simple stamping of the sentiment and the smaller gift image carry over the theme.

Crumb Cake: Labeled with Love

2024-25 blog header

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 20 – Crumb Cake

Today I feature the Labeled with Love stamp set in this soft feminine thank you card. I’ve been asked to make some thank you cards for teachers for the end of Year 12 for my eldest daughter.

A Thick Basic White card base with a layer of the pretty dry embossed background (Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder) which I splattered with my dark Crumb Cake Blends Marker (this photo is a little yellowish and looks more like Very Vanilla, but it is infact Basic White).

Labeled with Love Card for Crumb Cake Colour Creations Blog Hop by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2024

A fellow SU Demonstrator, Melody Hyde, shared her idea of stamping the label image to create this medallion effect, by stamping once, rotating 90º, stamping again and repeating. I did this in Black Memento ink and then lightly coloured each section carefully with ink and a Water Painter. This was then die cut using a circle from the Stylish Shapes dies.

The flowers were stamped in Bubble Bath and the leaves in in Crumb Cake. This is fussy cut with Paper Snips and added to the medallion on dimensionals. Some smaller leaves from the Fluffiest Friends dies were cut in Crumb Cake cardstock and glued behind for extra interest.

Labeled with Love vintage card for Crumb Cake Colour Creations Blog Hop by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2024

The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto a white diecut from the Unbounded Love dies. Some Iridescent Pearls were coloured with Bubble Bath Blends Marker and added to the centre of each flower. A Linen Thread bow is added on a Glue Dot.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Crushed Curry.

Please enjoy the wonderful inspiration of our next team member, Rachel Palmieri.

Heart of Christmas Week 6: Reindeer Fun Pop Up card

Heart of Christmas Header 2024 - 1

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Monday evening for the AWHT Heart of Christmas Blog Hop showcasing Stampin’ Up! seasonal products.

Week 6

Today I feature the cutest Reindeer Fun bundle and the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper (DSP). These papers are just gorgeous and really make cards easy, as you don’t need to add to much else other than a simple sentiment, as the designs do all the work for you. Under the sentiment, I did add a strip of Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty paper to add a pop of red to the very green and white design. Two small trees are stamped and diecut and a pretty double bow using the Natural Tones Linen Thread. A trio of Drusy Adhesive-backed Embellishments adds some sparkle (love these)!

Copper Clay: Frosted Forest Masculine Birthday card

2024-25 blog header

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 19 – Copper Clay

Today I feature the Frosted Forest bundle in this Masculine card. Masculine cards are certainly not my strength, but I had a go!

I began by cutting two strips of Copper Clay card, spritzed them well with water and scrunched them up and left them to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.

I started with a layer of Granny Apple Green cardstock and some Take a Bow Designer Series Paper (DSP). Before gluing these together, I diecut the leafy top die from the centre of the DSP. Then these two layers are glued together and placed into my Timber 3D Embossing Folder to add some texture. This is glued to the Copper Clay card base.

Once the scrunched strips were die, I flattened them slightly and added them to the card base. Don’t they create a lovely texture?!!

The tree image is made up of three dies and these pieces are glued together. he sentiment is heat embossed with Copper WOW Embossing Powder onto Garden Green cardstock and fussy cut. Some Copper Metallic dots were added to finish.

On the inside (and envelope) I stamped the same tree image. I matted this insert on some Garden Green card to carry across the colours from the front.

Heart of Christmas 5: Double Pocket DSP Card

Heart of Christmas Header 2024 - 1

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Monday evening for the AWHT Heart of Christmas Blog Hop showcasing Stampin’ Up! seasonal products.

Week 5

Today I feature the Shining Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). I’m a bit of a sucker for shiny and glittery things and although I didn’t buy these papers last year, they sure did make it into my stash this year. (Update: this paper has now sold out, but you can substitute with any of your favourite double sided paper designs)!

I’ve used lots of folding for my project today with this fun Double Pocket DSP Card.  Starting with a piece of double sided patterned paper cut to A4 size (29.7cm x 21cm), then let the folding begin. A written tutorial can be found below. Customise your envelope to match by adding the same patterned paper to the flap.

The tags are cut using dies from the Peaceful Season Bundle (available from 6 September 2024). This top tag has some Red & White Baker’s Twine threaded through one corner with a sentiment stamped in Garden Green or you could replace it with a gift card!

Double Pocket Fold Christmas Card for Heart of Christmas Blog Hop Week 5 by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2024 tag 1

The second tag is the same die, but I have cut it two-thirds of the way, removed it from my machine, shuffled the die along and cut from the other end to create this longer tag.  This one is where I will write my message to the recipient.

The ‘merry’ is stamped is Versamark and White WOW Emboss Powder added and melted with my Heat Tool. The ‘christmas’ is die cut from the red Festive Glimmer. These are added onto the card with Dimensionals.

Coastal Cabana: Floating Panel Tent Easel card

2024-25 blog header

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 18 – Coastal Cabana

Today I feature the Dandy Designs DSP. This 12″ x 12″ paper pack has 48 sheets and is in the Clearance Rack. It is less than $1 per sheet, so run, don’t walk, to get this bargain!!!

This fancy fold design is called a Floating Panel Tent Easel card. My inspiration began with the patterned papers and evolved from there. These colours, although more on the subtles side, gave me the feels of spring! Once I had all the decorated card panels in place, I had to choose a stamp set.

Colour Combination - Coastal Cabana

I haven’t used the Cheerful Daisies products for a while, and I had fun playing with them again. They would brighten anyones day, wouldn’t they, especially in these beautiful colours?!  I diecut the largest die in Basic White card and glued it to the card, then I  stamped and die cut the flowers and leaves and  added these on top with dimensionals.  It gives a lovely 3D effect!

Cheerful Daisies Fancy Fold Card for Coastal Cabana Colour Creations Blog Hop by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2024

The card opens up and the right panel folds forward to sit against the sentiment label. The sentiments are one of the stamps from the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set. I inked the top half of the sentiment and stamped it on the front of the card and then inked the lower half and stamped it on the white diecut label. I love that this could be sent as a birthday card, thinking of you or special occasion card.

Heart of Christmas: Reindeer in the Winter Woods Fun Fold card

Heart of Christmas Header 2024 - 1

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Monday evening for the AWHT Heart of Christmas Blog Hop showcasing Stampin’ Up! seasonal products.

Week 4

Today I feature the Nests of Winter DSP with the Reindeer Fun bundle in this fun fold creating a winter scene.

Reindeer Fun Fancy Fold Christmas Card for Heart of Christmas Blog Hop Week 4 by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2024

I started with a 6″ x 6″ piece of the DSP and cut it down to 14.5cm in height and left the length until I had cut the 4 panels to keep theh pattern flowing. Then I cut 6cm from the right, so when the card is closed the pattern is coninuous allowing the white space to write the recipient a mesage.

Once these are glued to the card, the hinge is added. I did cut the top of this with the Frosted Forest die to have the snow hill effect, although it is hard to see now the deer are attached. Add glue to the underside of each end, fold the card closed, then place the hinge in place to ensure the card closes correctly.

Reindeer Fun Fancy Fold Christmas Card for Heart of Christmas Blog Hop Week 4 by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2024 open

The deer are stamped in Pecan Pie ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends: SU500, SU600 & SU800. I placed some Craft White ink refill onto an acrylic block and took the Water Painter to gently dip the tip in the ink to create the spots on the deer.  You may notice a second little deer and no stamp for that one. I actually did the mirror image stamping of the small deer as I wanted it facing to the left. I did this by stamping the image directly onto my Silicone Mat, then placing some white card on top and pressing firmly to transfer the ink before colouring it.

Cherry Cobbler: Staggered Z Fold card

2024-25 blog header

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 17 – Cherry Cobbler

Today I feature the pretty Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Online Exclusives in this Staggered Z fold card design.

It is a normal card front size, but the front panel is folded back on itself and the staggered layers added to create the feature. Lemon Lime Twist compliments the patterned papers for the matt layers. The sentiment, the die and the diecut sprigs are from the Changing Leaves bundle.

The sprigs are cut in white, then Cherry Cobbler ink added with a Blending Brush. On each ofthe tips, some Red Metallic Enamel Effects Basics was added. I finished off adding some gold Adhesive-backed Dragonflies & Birds, which gosoo well with these papers.

When the card is open you can see the pattern flows across to reveal the full scene. A Basic White panel is adhered to the left inside panel to write your message.

Heart of Christmas: One of a Kind in Petal Pink

Heart of Christmas Header 2024 - 1

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Monday evening for the AWHT Heart of Christmas Blog Hop showcasing Stampin’ Up! seasonal products.

Week 3

Today I feature the One of a Kind Bundle from the upcoming Sept-Dec Mini catalogue. I have gone with a non-traditional coloured Christmas card, as I began with the background patterned paper from the Snowy Scenes DSP pack.

One of a Kind Christmas Card by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2024

I added some extra colour by using a Blending Brush and Petal Pink ink to the DSP. Some of the dotted swirly image are stamped in the background. Snowflakes are stamped onto the Basic White die cut pieces [Countryside Corner dies] and the larger one, I sponged the edges with a Dauber. Lots of snowflakes are diecut from Basic White, Petal Pink and Petal Pink from the Three Color Glimmer paper pack. Some were cut smaller using Paper Snips. The main sentiment [Peaceful Seasons bundle] is stamped in Versamark, White WOW Embossing Powder added and melted with my heat Tool, then diecut with the coordinating dies.

The envelope and inside of the card are stamped with some snowflakes with some blended ink over the top.
