Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.
Week 16 – Early Espresso
Early Espresso is a very dark brown and not one that I tend to go to often, so I had to really think about what I was going to create. I received a sample of the Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP as part of a team share and noticed that Early Espresso was one of the colours! Winning!
So tonight, I have projects using the Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper. These papers are gorgeous with the gold foil accents. I am also using the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack which has these lovely gold foil embellishments, including the tag.
The sentiment (Forever Fern stamp set) is stamped in Early Espresso ink. I added a few Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots which coordinate perfectly.
But open this card and a surprise awaits!
Pieces of the Blackberry Beauty Ephemera Pack were used on the inside pop up box as well as the Meadow Dies to cut some of the stunning Be Dazzling Specialty paper (free choice during SAB).
My next card is a Sympathy card using the Delicate Dahlias stamp set and the Sweets & Treats stamp set.
The Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder is used on the base card. The Stitched Rectangle Dies cut from some In Good Taste DSP was placed on an angle in the corner.
The vase is created from the cloche image from Sweets & Treats stamp set, stamped onto Basic White card. The Blending Brushes with Early Espresso ink was applied over one of the stencils from Plenty of Patterns Decorative Masks. Once the pattern was on the cloche, I removed the mask and lightly brushed more colour so the white wasn’t so stark. Using Paper Snips, cut it out, turn it upside down and glue to the card. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink, White Emboss Powder added and set with the Heat Tool. This was then cut into three separate words and added with Mini Dimensionals.
The flower was stamped four times and the leaves twice with Black Memento ink onto Basic White. These were fussy cut (see below image) and then coloured using the Blending Brushes and Soft Succulent and Fresh Freesia inks. I also used the Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends Markers on the petals, before adding some Wink of Stella. Next was to add dimensionals behind the petals and lining them up on top of each other!
Thanks for dropping by. All the products used tonight are linked at the end of this post!
