You Little Furball

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card for my niece who recently got a black and white kitten, similar to ours, and so I thought it would be the perfect idea to incorporate 2 black and white cats using the You Little Furball stamp set!

You Little Furball_2032

I used the Brick Wall TIEF to emboss the bricks and then coloured them with a sponge dauber and inkpads.

Don’t forget to stamp the inside of the card!

Wild Flowers Retirement

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a feminine retirement card made using the Wild about Flowers stamp set (pg 74) from the annual catalogue.

Wild about Flowers #Stampin' Up!

This is a very simple card using only a couple of gorgeous colours; Wild Wasabi, Rose Red and Whisper White.

It is pretty much a single layer card with a small bow as the embellishment.

Don’t forget to stamp the inside of the card and make a coordinating envelope!

I would very much appreciate it if you could leave a comment below.

Magic Window Shutter Card

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card that is something a little bit different ~ it has a hidden message!

It is called a Shutter card or some call it a Magic Window card, but either way when you google it, you will find loads of instructions on the internet how to create one of your own.

The finished size of my card is 4″ x 4″.

Shutter Card #Stampin' Up!

I have used Sahara Sand, Pink Pirouette, Blushing Bride and Pool Party as my colour combination. The new Designer Series Papers come in stacks in their colour families, eg. Subtles, Neutrals, Brights & Regals. Here I have used the Subtles stack.

You begin by creating a gatefold card.

Shutter Card #Stampin' Up!

You will notice when you open the card, a secret message is revealed!

Shutter Card #Stampin' Up!

Here is the card fully opened. The diamond in the centre opens wider as the card is opened. When you close the card the diamond becomes smaller to non-existent. It is such a clever technique, and I know I will be making many more of these cards!!!!

Please leave a comment below if you like my card.

Baking a Cake has never been so easy!

Dear Crafters,

Today I share another card made using the Build a Birthday stamp set, but this time not to make a cake!!!

This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set, which gives you so many creative options – combine individual stamps to build the final image you want in the colours you want. Our top-quality photopolymer stamps have just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time. They’re entirely transparent for perfect image placement, and they adhere well to our clear blocks. You’ll only need one set of blocks for all your photopolymer stamps (blocks sold separately). The stamps come packaged in cases with images on the spine for easy storage and quick reference. Quantity: 8 photopolymer stamps. Price: $28.00 (Order#138646)

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

I stamped the cake base first in Soft Suede ink, then each layer in Watermelon Wonder, Mint Macaron then Delightful Dijon.

The banner and flowers are also in Mint Macaron and the sentiment is Watermelon Wonder.

Putting this together is just like baking a cake, start with the bottom layer and keep adding!!!!

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

And because this stamp set is photopolymer, it is very easy to line up the images without the need of a Stamp-a-ma-jig!

This was another very quick and easy card to create using the Build a Birthday stamp set!

Who wants Birthday Cake?

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card made using the Build a Birthday stamp set, one of my favourites in the current annual catalogue. If you haven’t purchased this stamp set, it is a must have. Not only can you make birthday cards with it, but you can turn the candles into a card for Christmas! Be sure to stay tuned in the following weeks to see one of those!!!

I have used Watermelon Wonder with the Cherry on Top Designer Washi Tape as my colour scheme.

In this pack, you get 5 yards on each roll in the coordinating colours: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Cucumber Crush, Pool Party, Tip Top Taupe, Watermelon Wonder.

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

I stamped the cake stand first in Tip Top Taupe ink, before adding strips of washi tape, layering them one on top of the other to create the cake layers. I stamped the flags and the sentiment last in Watermelon Wonder ink.

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

I added 2 small flowers (Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack) and layered them on top of each other with a rhinestone in the centre.

This card was so quick and easy to create and at little cost using washi tape!!!

Let’s get started!

I began with stamping each of the dividers in Jet Black Stazon.

Tin of Cards

Then I stamped the cute little border around each of the dividers with Mint Macaron ink to match the colour of the tin!

Tin of Cards

Now I have the dividers sorted, time to get making the 16 cards, 45 of each design.

This first card is all pre-stamped except for the banner which I stamped with Mint Macaron ink.

Tin of Cards

I cannot tell you just how quick and easy these cards are to make and the instructions are very easy to follow.

This next card I adhered the yellow strip and then stamped the crosses above and below. I stamped the happy birthday with Stazon ink and added the gold glimmer heart that was already punched for me!

Tin of Cards

Sorry about the reflections in this card, but that gold is so shiny, it was impossible not to get reflections. The hardest part about putting this one together is getting the twine to sit exactly how you want it behind the circle image!!!

Tin of Cards

And for the last design, has to be my favourite because it has butterflies!

This one was a bit more stamping, but still super easy and I love the look of this one.

What do you think of this Tin of Cards set? I was very pleased with just how wonderful and easy this was to create in one afternoon. I would love for you to leave a comment also.

Watercolour Wings for JAI

Dear Crafters,

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is an Sketch Challenge JAI#268.

What a great sketch this is and as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to give it a go!

I started with a Basic Black card and added panels of Old Olive and the a piece of the new Pretty Petals DSP Stack. I sponged the edges before gluing them to the card.

Stampin Up Watercolour Wings

Next I added the banner across the centre. I used the 2″ circle punch and embossed it with the fluttering textured impressions embossing folder and sponged the edges before adding it with dimensionals.

Stampin Up Watercolour Wings

I stamped the butterfly onto Very Vanilla card stock, starting with Calypso Coral (stamped off for the first image), full strength for the second image and the 3rd is Watermelon Wonder. Then I die cut it out with the Butterflies Thinlits.

I also die cut a piece of vellum with the Bold Butterfly Framelits and attached it to the stamped image.

I wanted something a little bit more, so I used some gold beads and threaded them onto gold wire I use for jewellery making! You can see it close up below, cute hey!!!!

Stampin Up Watercolour Wings

Do you see those gold dots? Wonder how I made those? Well, they are the White Perfect Accents and I coloured them with a Gold Sharpie pen!!!! How clever hey!

Don’t forget to decorate the inside panel along with a coordinating envelope!

Stampin Up Watercolour Wings

I have to say when I saw this sketch I loved it, and all of the design team cards were stunning and very inspiring!

Please leave a comment below, if you think my card met this challenge.

Why don’t you give a challenge a go, they are so much fun. Head across to the Just Add Ink page for more inspiration and see how the designers interpreted this challenge.

Watercolour Wings Note Card

Dear Crafters,

Today I share my Watercolour Wings note card with you. This is my newest stamp set and I am so excited to share this with you. I am absolutely loving this stamp set and the bonus is, that you can also get the coordinating dies, so no need for hours of fussy cutting!!! Purchase them together as a bundle and you save a further 15%.

I am using the Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes pack. These packs are awesome for quick cards, and they are slightly smaller than the usual A5 cards that I make. These note cards are pre-scored, thicker card and you get 20 cards and 20 envelopes in a great value pack for only $10.50.

Let’s get started!

My base card I have left white and added a couple of banners which I punched with the new, must have, Triple Banner Punch. You can create three different sized banners, 1″, 1-1/2″ & 2″. The larger banner uses the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack and the smaller banner is the brand new Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack.

Watercolour Wings

I stamped the butterfly onto Whisper White card, starting with Marina Mist as the base, then Pacific Point, then Island Indigo at the last layer. These stamps are photopolymer, so they are completely clear and so easy to stamp one on top of the other in a 3-step process.

I used the coordinating Bold Butterfly framelits to die cut it out, and the smaller framelit with the Gold Glimmer Paper.

Watercolour Wings

I used Tombo Multipurpose glue to join the butterflies together. On the back of the larger butterfly, I added a small strip of Fast Fuse and some gold metallic thread. I just bunched it up into loops and held it to the fast fuse. How cool is that!

I added the butterfly to the card with dimensionals!

What do you think of my card? I was very pleased with the outcome. I would love for you to leave a comment also.

Birthday Washi Cake

Dear Crafters,

Washi Tape is certainly becoming a huge part of the craft world and it is no wonder as to why.

What’s to love about washi tape? Everything! The designs and colors. The versatility. The simplicity – just tear, tape, and transform. Go basic and use single strips as accents. Or step it up and combine strips to create custom backgrounds, decorate, and more. It’s an effortless way to add color to your projects and it’s not expensive.

Today I am using the richly coloured, Bohemian Designer Washi Tape, 3 rolls per pack, 1 of each design. It comes in 3 widths, 1 roll of each width: 3/8″, 1/2″, 5/8″ and it is 5 yards per roll for only $8.75. Coordinating colours: Bermuda Bay, Delightful Dijon, Island Indigo, Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla.

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

I began stamping the cake stand in Tip Top Taupe ink and then layered the Washi Tape. It’s that easy!

Then stamped the banner on the top in Rich Razzleberry ink and punched some stars from coordinating card stock.

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

I stamped some candles on the inside of the card and added 2 strips of washi tape across the bottom of the envelope.

Build a Birthday Stampin' Up!

You could make loads of these cards using different washi tape. So quick and easy, it’s almost scary hehe.

I was so excited when I first saw this set demonstrated at Convention on the Gold Coast, that it was going straight onto my wish list! And let me tell you, it hasn’t disappointed. I have made so many cards already with this versatile stamp set.

This card is made using Night of Navy, Crumb Cake and Bermuda Bay. I am totally loving this colour combination.

Build a Birthday Stampin Up!

I have used Bermuda Bay as my card base with a layer of Crumb Cake. The images are stamped onto Whisper White card using the Build a Birthday stamps, layering each one on top of the other with the coordinating ink pads. The best bit is that this set in photopolymer (completely clear) so you can easily line up the layers, one on top of the other!

I added some Bermuda Bay sequin trim, how gorgeous does it look? Check out that shine!

Build a Birthday Stampin Up!

I stamped the inside panel of the card with some birthday candles.

Build a Birthday Stampin Up!

I also stamped on the envelope.

Build a Birthday Stampin Up!

And here is another card using this same stamp set, but in a different format. See those cake layers are now candles!!!
