CCBH Pumpkin Pie: Garden Greenhouse

CCS Logo 2021-22

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 38 – Pumpkin Pie

Tonight’s colour is one I am really not a fan of. I find orange a really tough colour to work with, but I guess that is part of our challenge, right?!!! I have used the Garden Greenhouse Bundle for my card tonight.

Garden Greenhouse Bundle card by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2022

The Pumpkin Pie card base is 21cm x 14.8cm, scored in half. I dry embossed the front with the Pretty Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (TIEF). The next layer is Basic White and I rounded the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch. Using my Blending Brushes and Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks I gently added Pumpkin Pie ink (although I think a little Poppy Parade was still on my brush). I wrapped some Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer Ribbon across the front and adhered to the back of this layer with Stampin’ Seal, then glued it to the card front.

I die cut the scalloped layer in Basic White card using the Scalloped Contour dies. I stamped the greenery in Soft Succulent ink in the background and some flowers in Pumpkin Pie. The greenhouse is die cut in Basic White for the top and Vellum underneath. This was adhered with Tombo Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

TIP: with liquid glue, apply a small amount as it goes a long way. Let it sit for a few minutes until it becomes translucent before adhering to your card. It will still be very sticky but avoids glue oozing out and going where you don’t want it!

I die cut some of the foliage in Basic White card and coloured them with Soft Succulent Blends Combo Markers. I stamped some flowers and used the coordinating die to cut them out. These are all glued to the front of the greenhouse.

Here is a closer look.

The sentiment is stamped on Pumpkin Pie card with Versamark ink. White Emboss Powder was added then melted with my Heat Tool. I used the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut it out.

The scalloped layer and sentiment are added to the card on Dimensionals.

On the inside, I simply added some Basic White card and stamped some foliage and orange flowers in the bottom corner. The envelope was stamped the same!

Thanks for dropping by. All the products used tonight are linked at the end of this post!

Heart of Christmas: Dry Embossed Deer

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

Tonight, I am hosting the 14th Heart of Christmas Blog Hop on behalf of Claire and can you believe it’s less than 6 weeks until Christmas?!

I am using the Big Shot Embossing Mats for tonight’s card to showcase something a little different created with the dies. It was very difficult to photograph the copper foil without getting my reflection in it, so here goes!

The Copper Foil is run through the Big Shot with the Embossing Mats and the Detailed Deer Thinlits die to get this effect. The die doesn’t cut all the way through, but only leaves the impression. How cool is that?!! It opens up the possibilities you can get from your dies. I rounded the two corners using the Envelope Punch Board.

I added some Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible ribbon and tied it in a bow. It is so luxurious and soft. I added a Share What You Love Artisan Pearl for the eye of the deer.

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment in Merry Merlot ink and added another strip of the same Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper with some of the Joyous Noel Copper Glimmer paper.

Heart of Christmas: Santa’s Workshop

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

Today, I am sharing a couple of quick Christmas card ideas using the Santa’s Workshop Designer Series Paper. You need to check this out, because if you look closely, can you see the flocking? It is on the snowflakes and looks quite velvety, so pretty!

You can see it better here

The sentiments are from the Merry Christmas to All stamp set with coordinating Dies to cut them out instead of fussy cutting with scissors. You’ve got to love that!!!!

On the inside I cut the sign post from a sheet of the paper.

This next card also uses the same products, but I embossed over the Designer Paper with the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I love this lady image (also cut from the paper) she reminds me of a grandma who loves baking Christmas cookies!!!

For her to stand out a bit more from the background papers, I added a piece of Vellum cut with the Starburst Punch. Look at that flocking on her apron!!!

I placed this little elf on the inside. He reminds me of a little kid running inside to the smell of the cookies baking, yummy!!

These cards are so easy to make with just some Designer Papers. You don’t need to spend lots of money to create some amazing cards, when we have so many stunning papers this year.

Blog Hop: Add Texture with Embossing!

Hello Crafters,

Tonight the Art with Heart team girls are sharing some creative projects by adding texture with embossing. Embossing can add a lovely dimension, and with our wonderful Stampin’ Up! products, we can create many different looks. These include Heat embossing using embossing powder, dry embossing using our textured folders or by adding embossing paste!

AWHT Blog Hop - November 2017 - Add Texture with Embossing.jpg

If you’re already hopping, then you just came to me from the lovely, Sharon Davern. If you’re just joining, great! Use the “next” button at the end of my post to hop all the way around. Blog Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post there is a link to the next one. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

Now let’s get started!

My first project today features some new products you may not have seen yet, from the soon to be released Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure. This stamp set, Party Pandas is going to be very popular as one of the FREE stamp sets when you spend $90+ during Sale-a-bration! I have also featured the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

I have added some Wink of Stella to each sequin, but I’m not sure if you can this in the photos? The Lemon Lime Twist ribbon and the Adhesive Backed Tutti Fruitti Sequins are also new products.

For my next project, I have used the Embossing Paste with Pattern Party Decorative Masks and then quickly added some gold embossing powder and heat set it. This showcases two embossing techniques in one, and look at that amazing effect!!!! I’ve also dry embossed the background, so all three embossing techniques are used on this one card!

I’ve also used the Stampin Blends Markers to colour the flower!

The embossing paste adds a wonderful texture to your projects. The best thing about it, is that you can colour it with your reinkers to change the colour, you can add embossing powder before it dries and heat set it, but you can also mix in some fine glitter!

Why don’t you give embossing a try? It adds wonderful texture to your projects!
