Dear Crafters,

Last week I shared some cards using the Rose Wonder stamp set and the coordinating Rose Garden thinlits. Here is another Sympathy card using this same bundle, but yet this is very simple and elegant.

This White and Pool Party card doesn’t need to be anything fancy. It is simple, elegant and stylish. The image of white on white is beautiful and noting over rated.

Painter’s Palette Shaker Card

Dear Crafters,

Today I share some more new products from the upcoming 2016-2017 Annual catalogue which goes live on 1st June!

This is the new Painter’s Palette stamp set in a shaker card.

The sentiment is coloured using the Wink of Stella directly into some Emerald Envy ink and applied directly to the sentiment. This ink is one of the new In Colours, isn’t it pretty?

The easel is stamped in Sweet Sugarplum ink (another of the new In Colours) and the Layered Square Framelits was used to cut out the inside to create the shaker card. I have used some retired in colour sequins which I thought actually went quite well with these new in colours.

The star image is also stamped in Emerald Envy and the Medium Star punch was used to cut it out before adding it with a dimensional. The shaker card uses another new product of foam adhesive strips which makes it much easier. Be sure to check them out on 1st June!

Floral Affection

Dear Crafters,

Last week I shared some cards using the Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper and Washi Tape and today I have a card using the DSP and the Floral Affection Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the same suite!

So here is my card!

The sentiment is a new stamp set, Thoughtful Banners that will be available from 1st June in the brand new 2016-2017 Annual catalogue. It can also be purchased in a bundle with the Duet Banners punch, saving you 10%. It is a photopolymer set, so it is completely clear and pliable. As you can see, I have shaped the sentiment to the shape of the banner!

The embossing folder is also a new product and I jazzed it up by adding some Wink of Stella on the raised image. I’m not sure if you can see that clearly in the photos?!

Some people commented that by placing the banner upside down (so to speak) it looks like my card is smiling!

Rose Wonder White Wash

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card using the Rose Wonder stamp set and the coordinating Rose Garden thinlits!

This is such a gorgeous stamp set and who doesn’t love roses?

So here is my card!

Rose Wonder, Rose Garden Thinlits, Wink of Stella, #stampinup, 2016 Annual catalogue

The technique used to create this card is called the white wash technique. Simply, the image is stamped and embossed with white embossing powder, then a white wash applied to the image with an Aquapainter and then coloured using the Aquapainter and inks. There are many tutorials on YouTube and Pinterest if you would like to have a go!

Once I coloured the image using rose red ink, I added some Wink of Stella ~ how gorgeous and sparkly does that look?!!!! Oh I love some sparkle!!! lol

Hooray, let’s celebrate

On Monday I shared a card using the Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper and today I have a card using the Washi Tape from the same suite!

So here is my card!

What a fun way to use some washi tape. Can you see that middle one? It has copper metallic dots on it. It is super duper pretty and shiny!

Happy Birthday Everyone

Dear Crafters,

Today’s card uses some stamp sets that I wouldn’t coordinate with the framelits, but I think it works!

I have mixed the Gorgeous Grunge & Happy Birthday Everyone stamp sets with a product from the Occasions 2016 catalogue, the Cups & Kettle Framelits dies. These framelits are currently on the Retirement List, so get them before they are gone!

My colour scheme: Bermuda Bay, Wisteria Wonder & Whisper White.

I stamped the Gorgeous Grunge splatter stamps first in Wisteria Wonder then added the Glitter Washi Tape, before adding the sentiment.

I die cut the cup and the heart and added the cup with dimensionals. The heart has some Wink of Stella painted on it as well!

Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card too!

Oh and did you notice the stamp on the back of the envelope, #imbringingbirthdaysback? Well, that is the stamp that Shannon West, SU Demonstrator & trainer from head office in Utah designed. In January, Shannon posted on her FB page that social media had ruined the good old fashioned birthday card, so she wanted to bring birthdays back and went about creating her own hand carved stamp! So many people thought it was such a great idea (as did I), that Stampin’ Up! made one almost identical, just slightly smaller for all of us to purchase. Floral Wings

Dear Crafters,

Today I use the Hostess stamp set, Floral Wings which also coordinates with our Bold Butterfly Framelits.

I have no idea what this style is called, but I find it quite effective. I cut down a piece of Whisper White card by 5mm on each side. I stamped the butterfly image in the centre and then measured in the same distance from each side towards the centre and drew a line down, but not across the wings. I then cut out that centre portion leaving the butterfly intact.

My colour scheme: Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo, Mint Macaron and Whisper White.

I then stamped the floral images along each edge and added the sentiment.

I embossed the base card with the Elegant Dots TIEF using the Big Shot machine, before adhering the stamped piece.

Bordering Blooms

Dear Crafters,

Today I have a card that I have cased from Pinterest by a gentleman called Brian King. I thought it was such a clever idea to create such a gorgeous background from a border stamp!

My colour scheme: Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight & Whisper White.

I stamped the border image multiple times with Black ink on Whisper White card stock.

I coloured the images with Stampin’ Write Markers and layered it onto Bermuda Bay card stock, then onto a Melon Mambo card base.

The sentiment is from the Suite Sayings stamp set (Occasions 2016 catalogue) and I used the circles punches and then sponged the edges. A small bitty flower was added and a rhinestone to finish it off.

Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card & envelope too!

I love this colour scheme, how bright and cheery it is!

Dandelion Magic & last ever Weekly Deals

Dear Crafters,

Today I have a card that I have cased from Pinterest by a lady called Bente Stempelt. I thought it was such a clever idea to create one large dandelion from all those little dandelion stamps!

I love using balloons for birthday cards but this was just too clever an idea using Balloon Celebration stamp set from the Occasions catalogue.

My colour scheme: Hello Honey, Old Olive, Smoky Slate, Soft Sky & Whisper White.

This is a single layer card, so no dimension, but it really doesn’t need it.

I stamped the clouds first and then the stem before the centre and then the fairy bits (I don’t know their technical term) which we all blow off to make a wish. Didn’t you do that as a kid?!!!

The grass is actually the stamp in the set that is the bunch of strings (upside down and just the ends). I stamped the sentiment last, but you could really stamp in any order you like!

Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card too! You can see I have stamped the grass again and some dandelion bits on the inside.

Star Celebration

Dear Crafters,

Today I have a very busy balloon card!

I love using balloons for birthday cards and I’m sure it is the first thing you also reach for when creating projects for birthdays. As I have probably mentioned many times, this was the very first stamp set and Punch Bundle that I added to my cart when we were able to purchase from the Occasions catalogue.

My colour scheme: Watermelon Wonder, Blushing Bride and Whisper White.

I stamped the balloons first and punched them out and then placed them on the white card to see where to stamp the strings. I added the sentiment and then all the stars, and lots of them!!!! lol

I felt something was missing, so I grabbed my Watermelon Wonder Stampin’ Write Marker and drew by hand, the little dashes around the edge to create a border.

Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card too! You can see I have stamped the stars again and drawn the border in little dashes on the inside!
