Week 23 – Gorgeous Grape

Today’s card heavily features the beautiful Brushed Metallic cardstock. The background layer is dry embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder. The next layer is Gorgeous Grape cut with the square from the Stylish Shapes dies. The next layer is the Bushed Metallic again in a slightly smaller square die.

On top of this is a piece of Highland Heather cardstock, embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D folder and then cut out using a circle die. I used a Sponge Dauber with Gorgeous Grape ink, to add colour around the edges. The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink, Gold Emboss Powder added and heat set. The coordinating dies cut it out before adding it with Dimensionals!

On the inside, a simple Basic White insert with a small strip of the Embossed Brushed Metallic cardstock added across the bottom.

Week 18 – Early Espresso

Today is the final day of Sale•a•bration for 2022.

The largest die from the Aspen Trees dies is used to cut the Early Espresso card front. Behind this, I glued a piece of the 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper. I stamped the dots/speckles in the same colour ink around the edges of the card front.

The sentiment from the Charming Sentiments Bundle is stamped in Versamark ink, White Emboss Powder added and heat set, before using the coordinating die to cut it out. This was added with Black Mini Dimensionals. I die cut two leaves in the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper, and one in Early Espresso card and these are adhered with glue. A small piece of Linen Thread is added behind the sentiment. To finish off I added some Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.

On the inside, I placed a Basic White card insert and repeated the dots/speckles around the edge, but I stamped off before onto the white card, so it toned it down. I placed two more of the leaves to the bottom corner.

Happiness Abounds with Calypso Coral

2022-23 CCBH Logo

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.

Week 12 – Calypso Coral

Tonight’s card is using the Happiness Abounds Bundle as the focal point, with the Charming Sentiments Bundle and the Pretty Prints Designer Series Paper. I started with a piece of Pretty Prints DSP and cut a 1″ strip off the left side. This was flipped over and both pieces glued onto a scrap piece of white card. I ran this through the Stampin Cut & Emboss machine with the Fern 3D Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added a strip of Gold Shimmer Ribbon down the join of the Patterned paper and secured the ends on the back. I punched each corner with the Very Best Trio Punch before gluing it to a Basic Black card base. (Oops, look at those punched corners… they are not identical. Apparently we need to turn one side upside down to punch to get the same result). I must remember that for next time as I didn’t even notice until someone pointed it out to me!

Next, I stamped the flowers and leaves in Memento ink and cut them out with the coordinating dies. These are coloured with Blends Combo Markers; Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron & Petal Pink. I added some Wink of Stella to the centres but unfortunately it is really hard to photograph. The flowers and leaves are added to the card with Tombo Multipurpose Glue and Dimensionals.

The sentiment is stamped in Versamark ink, White Emboss Powder added and melted the powder using the Heat Tool. The coordinating Sentiment Silhouettes dies cut out the sentiment and this was added with a Black Dimensional.

I tied a Gold Ribbon bow and added it with Glue Dots and finished off with a few Brushed Brass Butterflies.

On the inside I placed a strip of DSP down the side of the White insert and some leaves.
