Farewell, feminine, Flowers, Stampin' Up!

Dear Crafters,

Check out today’s multi-layered card. I don’t usually add so many layers, but I was very happy with how this one turned out!

I was asked to make a few Farewell cards for my workplace, and this was one of them.

Botanical Builder Framelits, Love Blossoms DSP, Farewell Handmade Card, DIY, #stampinup

The card base is Blushing Bride with a layer of the Love Blossom Designer Series Paper.

I embossed the Sahara Sand Banner with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and layered it on a piece of Rose Red card stock which I scored a 1/4″ border around the edge.

I used the Botanical Blooms Framelits Dies for all the blooms and foliage (Blushing Bride, Rose Red, So Saffron, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White & Love Blossoms DSP).

The Blushing Bride Satin ribbon was tied in a bow and finishes off this stunning card (if I do say so myself lol).

Dear Crafters,

Another gorgeous Sale-a-bration product, FREE with any $90 order!

Sometimes you need a card that says “just for you” and what better stamp set, than this one. It is called Botanicals for You and has 9 stamps in the set.

I used a calypso coral card base and stamped the sentiment and flowers onto some whisper white card stock. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink and sprinkled with gold embossing powder, before heat setting it.

The Pool Party flowers I fussy cut and added to the card with dimensionals.

Look at that shine!

Valentine’s Day

Dear Crafters,

Well, as you know, yesterday was Valentine’s Day and I spent the weekend away with two of my closest girlfriends and our 5 kids at Anglesea. But in saying that, my hubby works weekends, so he didn’t mind a bit that we weren’t around and truthfully, we don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day anyway.

But I did make him a personalised card and here it is!

I did use some retired products, but I do still love this cloudy day embossing folder, especially with hot air balloons. This is as close as I will ever get him to a hot air balloon!!!

The sentiment is from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set in the Occasions catalogue.

Celebrate Today stamp set was used for the hot air balloon basket and the Balloon Framelits for the balloon itself.

Little Letters Thinlits were used to create his name and the inside stamped with the Bloomin’ Love stamp set.

and of course the envelope was stamped too, you know how I love to coordinate everything!

Subtle hearts

Dear Crafters,

I love, love, love this card that is the colour combination of Blushing Bride and Sahara Sand.

I love the sequins, the ribbon, the die cut heart layered on the Sahara Sand card and the stamped floral images behind in the coordinating colours.

I was really happy with this card and the colour combination is so soft, subtle and totally gorgeous.

What are your thoughts? Are you as gushing as me with this one?

Make a wish

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a very quick and easy card to create, using some DSP, banners, sentiment, punch and twine!

I love this dandelion designer paper which you can earn for FREE with any $90 order. It is the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper available during Saleabration 2016. 12 sheets of 12×12 double sided designs.

The sentiment is from the Perfect Pennants stamp set and is perfect with this paper. As kids we always grabbed those dandelions and blew them to make a wish, didn’t you?! Maybe you still do!!!!

Anyway, the sentiment was stamped and cut out using the Note Tag Punch. The banners were made using the Banner Triple Punch and layered behind the tag. Some gorgeous two-tone baker’s twine was added.

I love the simplicity of this style of card. What do you think?

Dear Crafters,

It is always tough to come up with a card design for someone who may have lost a loved one, so I always like to have some on hand to be able to grab when required.

Today, I share a card using the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits die.

I have used Wisteria Wonder and Whisper White, purple being the colour of love and I think it is lovely in this sympathy card.

Notice I have glued the heart die cut behind the top layer, framing part of the heart but also so it gives that gorgeous shadow behind once the layer is adhered with dimensionals.

Bloomin’ Heart at JAI

Dear Crafters,

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is from Rochelle who has suggested we all “Just Add Something New”.

With the new Occasions catalogue going live on 5th January, we have plenty of new yummy products to choose from.

Anyway, lets get rolling!

I started with a Mint Macaron card base and added a piece of the new Birthday Bouquet DSP. A piece of dotted lace trim in Mint Macaron was added across the centre.

Next I die cut the Bloom’ Heart Framelit from Blushing Bride card stock and glued it to some vellum and then cut around the edges with paper snips. This just gave it a more subtle and frosted background.

I stamped the flower images (Bloomin’ Love stamp set) with Blushing Bride ink onto coordinating card stock and die cut them out, before adding with a glue dot and then a pearl into the centre of each one!

The Bow Paper Clip Embellishment was added (how cute are they?!!!)

On the back of the vellum, a dimensional was placed under each of the 5 flowers and added to the card.

I stamped the “celebrate” sentiment (from Beautiful Ride stamp set) in Mint Macaron onto Whisper White card stock and used the banner punch at one end.

Don’t forget to decorate the inside panel along with a coordinating envelope!

Balloon Celebration as flowers

Today I enter a challenge at Pals Paper Arts. The challenge this week is an Colour Challenge PPA#283.

As soon as I saw this colour challenge, I knew I had to give it a go! This is one of my favourite colour combinations.

I started with a Mint Macaron card base and added some coordinating dsp which I sponged the edges.

Next I stamped the images onto Whisper White card stock using the Memento Black Inkpad. The stems are from the Flower Patch stamp set, as is the sentiment, but those flowers are actually from the Balloon Celebration stamp set. Yes, it is that “wheel” looking stamp that we all looked at and wondered what on earth it goes with in the theme of the balloon celebration stamps. It had me stumped for days, but I was determined to have a play and work out exactly what I could create.

The flowers are coloured with the Stampin’ Write Markers, Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron. I stamped the dotty circle image onto vellum and punched it out with the 3/4″ circle punch.

I added each vellum circle with a glue dot and then added a large pearl to the centre of each flower.

Check out that gorgeous white jute ribbon behind, adding the perfect amount of texture!!!
