Our Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop features our 40th colour; Powder Pink. This is one of the In Colours that will retire in June, so make sure you purchase anything Powder Pink now while they are still available!

I have had this stamp set, Tea Together with the coordinating Tea Time Framelits dies for a little while now but this is my first time inking it up. Why did I wait so long???!!!

My colour palette: Powder Pink, Soft Sea Foam & Fresh Fig

The images were all stamped with Versamark ink on Watercolour Paper, Gold Emboss Powder added and Heat set. Then I coloured using the AquaPainter and ink from the stamp pads. I did all this and let them dry before die cutting each of the images out.

I embossed the Fresh Fig layer with the Tin Tile Embossing folder before using the Versamark pad around each of the edges, just swiping gently across the pad then dipping each edge in the Gold Emboss Powder & heat set. I also did this on the Powder Pink layer inside the card!

I sprinkled some extra gold emboss powder gently over the embossed Fresh Fig card and heat set it from behind so the powder didn’t blow away and stayed where I needed it.

I gold embossed the doily as well and placed some Gold Metallic Thread behind the tea pot, which is adhered with dimensionals.

I love the watercolour effect of this rose, super pretty.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment and Gold embossed it also. Do you think I have enough Gold??!!!

You know, when I saw this stamp set, I like it, but I wasn’t keen to have to fussy cut around those little froggy limbs, if you know what I mean?!!

Until Stampin’ Up! told us that they were bringing out framelits for a limited time only during March 2019 to coordinate with many of the Sale-a-bration items, and guess what, this set was added to my very next order!!!!

If you want to get these framelits though, they are only available while stocks last and believe me, they are worth their weight in gold!!!

We made this card at my latest techniques class and the ladies loved it. The white layer and Soft Seam Foam layer we embossed with the Subtle TIEF. Each layer is glued down flat, but the die cut images are added with diminsionals.

We used the Stampin’ Blends markers to colour the images – how cute is it?

The strip of designer paper is now retired from the Holiday catalogue, but I had just the right amount left over and it coordinates perfectly with this stamp set.

Today’s card is a small token (with a big bunch of bright pink gerbera flowers) of thanks for a dear friend of mine who has been so supportive of me in my fight with MS. She’s wanted to support and help me in easing the pressure of learning to drive again (using hand controls) to regain some independence. She setup a Go Fund Me page and I cannot thank everyone enough with how generous they have been. Yesterday I had another driving lesson which took us through busy Dandenong, learning to park and drive through unpredictable and unknown areas. I am so determined to do this and with Lisa’s help it is feeling closer than ever. Thank you xxx

Here is the card I made her using the Artfully Aware stamp set from pg46 of the 2019 Occasions Catalogue. This is the perfect stamp set, don’t you think?!

I stamped the ribbon image multiple times in the background in Petal Pink and used the Wink of Stella to colour each one (the photo doesn’t do it justice).

The image is stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends Markers.

How good does the layering of the different punched pieces look? I also dry embossed them with different embossing folders for extra texture. The embellishment of the ladies wrist is a retired Glitter Epoxy Shape, but I thought is was cute.

My 2nd card has a softer, feminine look. I have used Soft Sea Foam, Powder Pink, Mint Macaron and Crumb Cake. The coordinating dies to cut out the Painted Seasons images will be available to purchase in March and they are an amazing addition and a must have to save on fussy cutting!

All the images I placed up on dimensionals and some Wink of Stella to the Powder Pink flower (but I don’t think you can see that in the picture).

My final card is for my mum’s birthday yesterday and it was a very special occasion.

This background is created using simple stamping of Highland Heather and Soft Seam Foam. I stamped another of the images and die cut it out to place on top of the ribbon with some Wink of Stella for added shine!

Gingham, Origami & Butterflies.. what more could you want?!!

Today is my mum’s 70th birthday, and we will have a lovely celebration this weekend for her but in the meantime, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM! I can’t share her card with you just yet either, so I have a design we made at my recent class using the Butterfly Gala Suite.

This Gingham Gala paper is super versatile, you can use it for any type of project; masculine or feminine!

On the inside I simply glued a piece of gingham paper and another small stamped butterfly. I would also add a sentiment of Happy Birthday or Thinking of You, but I haven’t worked out who I am giving it to just yet.

Colour Creations: Pineapple Punch Window card

Welcome back to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring our 37th colour; Pineapple Punch.

I love this vibrant and bright colour and it is one of the many colours in the Happiness Blooms Designer Series paper and so I had to use this in my project today.

First, I glued the DSP to the front of the card before using the layering squares framelits to cut the window. Then I used that same die with the larger scallop die to cut out the Pineapple Punch frame to glue on top of the DSP around the window.

I stamped and punched out the large butterfly from the Butterfly Gala stamp set and coordinating Butterfly Duet Punch.

Inside the card, I added a smaller white card, folded in half. I placed glue only on the bottom panel, so the top panel could stay like this when you open the card. Once this was in place, I closed the card and glued the butterfly onto the white card through the window so I could centre it perfectly.

When the card is fully open, it looks like this!

I added another butterfly to the corner of the card and will add a sentiment when the time is right for the occasion. I tied a piece of the Pineapple Punch Grosgrain ribbon through the centre of the card and tied it in a bow at the front.

Colour Creations: Petal Pink with Needlepoint Nook Bargello Technique

Welcome back to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring our 36th colour; Petal Pink.

This colour has more of an apricot tone and it is one of the many colours in the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper. I have gone with the Bargello Technique again to create the background. You may have seen me use this Technique in last Friday’s post.

My Colour Combination is: Petal Pink, Berry Burst, Old Olive

I die cut a Vellum oval and embossed it with the Needlepoint Elements Framelit. I did this so it didn’t totally hide that gorgeous Bargello background.

Bargello Technique with Fable Friends & All My Love DSP

Today, my card uses some left over strips from the Bargello Technique from an ATC card swap share I took part in during January with the Art With Heart Team.

How stunning is this colour combination of Flirty Flamingo, Lovely Lpstick and White?!!!

I stamped the bunny from the Fable Friends stamp set in Memento black ink and coloured her using Stampin’ Blends markers. I cut her out with paper snips and popped her up on dimensionals on the layering ovals. I added two little pearls to her coat. Isn’t she the cutest?!!!

The pearls in the top corner were coloured with the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends to coordinate with the card. I adore this Lovely Lipstick ribbon which is part of the All My Love Combo pack.

Colour Creations: Pear Pizzazz for an Amazing Life

Welcome back to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring our 35th colour; Pear Pizzazz.

I am using the Amazing Life Stamp set with the Floral Romance Specialty DSP. The card base is Pear Pizzazz, stamped with the same ink with the floral image. The centres of each of these flowers has some Wink of Stella for some shine!

I die cut the stitched rectangle and stamped the images. I added the two strips of DSP then the white rectangle to the card with Tombo Multipurpose Glue. The flower in the corner was stamped with Pear Pizzazz on Pear Pizzazz card and some of the DSP in Petal Pink ink, then fussy cut out. These were added with a dimensional.

The open words “cake” and “YAY” have some Wink of Stella applied to colour them in!

On the inside of the card, I simply stamped the 3-tiered birthday cake and sentiment. The flame has some Wink of Stella, but it doesn’t really show in the photos.
