Totally Crazy About You

Dear Crafters,

Here are some cards I made which are very simple and very quick to make.

I have used the Crazy About You stamp set with the coordinating 1-3/4″ scallop circle punch.

Crazy About You

The base card is Strawberry Slush with a layer of Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper down the centre.

The flowers are stamped in Strawberry Slush ink on Whisper White card stock and a vellum scallop circle is cut using the 2-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch. I used a brad to join the flowers together, then glued them to the card.

Floral Cantaloupe

Dear Crafters,

Late last month, I shared some cards made with the 2013-2015 In Colours which will retire in a couple of months when the new Annual Catalogue is released and I will be very sad to see them go. I just love these colours!

I have used a Bundle from the Occasions Catalogue and with each bundle you can save an extra 15%. The bundle is Petal Potpourri stamp set and the coordinating Flower Medallion punch.

Petal Potpourri

The base card is Crisp Cantaloupe with a layer of Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper.

The flowers are stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe ink on the Crisp Cantaloupe & Whisper White card stock and some vellum and punched out using the coordinating Flower Medallion Punch. I used dimensionals to add the flowers to the card, slightly overlapping them.

Soft Blooms at JAI

Hello Crafters,

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is an Inspiration Challenge JAI#257.

I loved this picture as soon as I saw it, as it has my favourite colours of Crisp Cantaloupe, Very Vanilla and gorgeous soft tones.

I started with a card base of Calypso Coral, then a layer of Crisp Cantaloupe.

Hexagon Stippled Blossom

Today I showcase a card made using the Six-Sided Sampler Bundle which is on sale until 17 May. It is great value and very versatile. I often make masculine cards with this set, but as you can see it can also be quite feminine!

The Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set and Hexagon Punch can be purchased as a Bundle for a short time only. Until 17 May 2015 you can get this bundle for only $55.16 (clear) or $63.66 (wood).

Six-Sided Sampler Clear-mount Bundle by Stampin' Up!

I stamped each of the four chosen images, six times each, onto Very Vanilla card stock in Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pear Pizzazz & Sahara Sand. Then punched each one out with the Hexagon Punch.

I applied some double sided sticky paper to the Whisper White card stock and peeled off the top layer so the entire piece is sticky. I added the Hexagons so they nudge up against each other to form the background pattern. Once finished, I trimmed the excess from each edge with paper snips.

I stamped the Stippled Blossom blooms in Crisp Cantaloupe and then Calypso Coral, a two step process using my handy Stamp-a-ma-jig!!! I masked the first one and then stamped a second bloom next to it. Then I fussy cut them out using paper snips before adding to the card with dimensionals.

The leaves are punched fom Silver Glitter paper using the Bird Builder Punch.

Hexagon Stippled Blossom

The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set and punched with the Word Window Punch. I poked a small hole on the left hand side and added it to the Crochet Trim with some Linen Thread.

Be sure to decorate the inside panel of your card and even the envelope, it helps tie it all together!

I have to say I was very pleased with the outcome of this card!

Please leave a comment below, if you think my card met this challenge.

Why don’t you give a challenge a go, they are so much fun. Head across to the Just Add Ink page for more inspiration and see how the designers interpreted this challenge.
