Butterflies, feminine, Stampin' Up!

Butterfly Wings

Dear Crafters,

Today I have a pop through style card. I love butterflies and we have so many to choose from in our current range, but this one is stunning. It is a triple stamp, but it’s photopolymer, so it’s very easy to line them up.

I started with some Lost Lagoon card stock, folding it in half and the the front in half again, but back on itself. Then I die cut the large butterfly framelit but only to the scoreline, as I only wanted the first panel to be cut.

Then I stamped the butterfly two times and cut them out with the coordinating framelits. The first one, I glued to the 2nd panel so the left wing is free through the cut panel.

You can see I have glued the second butterfly on the inside!

The next step was to stamp the dots and with Lost Lagoon ink and add some Bermuda Bay sequins. Lastly, I added some Bermuda Bay Sequin trim and a Pool Party Glitter ribbon bow to the butterfly on the front of the card.

Beautiful Butterfly

Dear Crafters,

Today I share with you a quick and easy card to make for those days when you need a card in a hurry!

I have used the stunning Butterfly die in Soft Sky card, then glued it to some vellum and cut around it.

Butterfly Painted Blooms

The base card is Rose Red with a layer of Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper.

Butterfly Painted Blooms

The sentiment is stamped in Rose Red ink on the Whisper White card stock and I cut the ends with paper snips. This is added to the card with dimenionals.

How gorgeous is this butterfly with the vellum behind it?! It just looks so delicate.

Sheer Perfection

Hello Crafters,

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is a colour challenge JAI#254.

I have to admit when I saw these earthy tones, it wasn’t something that really appealed to me. I prefer the brighter colours, but this is what challenges are all about, challenging ourselves to try new things!

I was in need of a thank you card for one of the prep mums who called yesterday to say that my youngest had left her lunchbox at school. We were already on our way to Kids Club and I wasn’t able to go back to get it, so this lovely mum wanted to drop it to our home. I was so thankful to her for even suggesting to do that for us, so I felt the need to make her this card!

Sheer Perfection Butterfly

I have just received this gorgeous Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Stack which is one of the four new Sale-a-bration freebies released this month. For every $90 you spend on Stampin’ Up! products you can choose from a range of bonus product and this stack is one of them!

Sheer Perfection Butterfly

The butterfly is die cut in Baked Brown Sugar and Tangelo Twist card together in the one layer.

The vellum is coloured from behind with the Stampin’ Write Markers in all four of the colours and adhered to the card with the coloured side down. I used the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker to to the stitching around the edge.

Sheer Perfection Butterfly

Be sure tho decorate the inside panel of your card and even the envelope helps tie it all together!

Butterfly Basics Bundle

Hello Crafters,

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is an inspiration challenge JAI#253.

My immediate reaction to this image was “Wow, look at that gorgeous hot pink colour”!

I also love butterflies, so this challenge was going to be just that, butterflies, melon mambo and black.

Butterfly Basics

I love this Butterfly Basics bundle of which the stamps are photopolymer, so extremely easy to use and it has the coordinating dies. Awesome!

The base card is Black with a layer of Melon Mambo cardstock and then another layer or black, which is stamped with Craft White ink using the fern stamp. I stamped the ink off before applying to the cardstock, so that it wasn’t too white and stark.

The butterfly is the main focus of this card so it stands out in its Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana colourings. I added 5 pearls for each antennae.

Butterfly Basics

I didn’t feel this card needed a sentiment, so I left it blank.

Be sure to decorate the inside panel of your card and even the envelope. I never send a “nude” envelope!

Summer Butterflies

Hello Crafters,

Here I am again with the Butterfly Basics Bundle. Today I have tried some colours that I don’t usually go for and is a little out of my comfort zone, but I think they work okay together.

I have used Calypso Coral, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz.

Butterfly Basics

I used the Stampin’ Write Markers to in the flower image so I could get the stems green and the flower a different colour. The flower is actually coloured So Saffron, but then I used the Thumping Technique to add some of the Calypso Coral before stamping the image onto the card.

Butterfly Basics

Be sure to decorate the inside on your card also!

Butterfly Beauty

Hello Crafters,

Oh wow, I couldn’t wait to get this stamp set from the minute I saw it in the Occasions catalogue, and it hasn’t disappointed!

Butterfly Basics with the coordinating Butterfly Framelits can be purchased as a Bundle saving you 15%. But you can buy them separately also.  The stamp set is available in Wood, Clear or Photopolymer and I bought it in the Photopolymer.

And here is my card that I have made using many of the items in this bundle.

Butterfly Basics

I have used Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz with some Crumb Cake as my colour palette and the sentiment is stamped in Chocolate Chip ink.

Here is a close up. I love the vellum look underneath the butterfly. I added this after I die cut the butterfly, by gluing the butterfly onto a piece of vellum and then cutting it out.

Butterfly Basics     Butterfly Basics

Be sure to decorate the inside on your card also!

What do you think? I love these colours together, they are so soft and subtle.
