Calendar Card

Dear Crafters,

Today I share with you one of the projects we made at my Techniques class last week.

These mini tab calendars prove popular every year, and my class attendees love making projects with them.

We have made an easel card and added the calendar, so the recipient can have it standing on their desk, wardrobe, where ever they place it for the whole year to admire.

We used the Flowering Fields stamp set which we coloured with Stampin’ Write Markers. The background is the Designer Series Paper, Wildflower Fields which coordinates with this stamp set.

I love that we have something quite Australian in the range.

What do you think of this project? My class ladies loved it!

Today I share some more pretty in pink to end the week, but I promise next week, I’ll try and incorporate something more masculine lol

Can you tell that I love this Designer Paper Series Stack, Love Blossoms? I think it is just stunning and so utterly feminine.

How beautiful is this butterfly which was created using the Bold Butterfly Framelits and Butterflies Thinlits. The bottom layer is vellum, then blushing bride, then rose red and finished with a gorgeous Iced Rhinestone Embellishment.

Super duper pretty if you ask me!

Butterflies

Dear Crafters,

Today I use the Swallowtail stamp to create a card in some of my favourite colours!

I stamped the image on white card with black ink and coloured the image using Stampin Write Markers in Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Tempting Turquoise.

I added some Dazzling Details to the wings for a stunning glitter effect.

The base card is Bermuda Bay to coordinate with the markers used on the butterfly.

I have left this card without a sentiment, but I will add one when the time comes for me to give it away!

Mini Tab Calendar Cards

Dear Crafters,

Today I share projects created with the stamp set, Butterfly Basics and the Mini Tab Calendars.

We made these during our last card class and it was a real hit!

This one uses Calypso Coral and the Pretty Petals DSP Stack.

The butterfly was stamped in the coordinating ink and cut out with the coordinating dies, Butterflies Thinlits.

And here is another one we made during class using the Owl Builder Punch!

Definitely Dahlia

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card with only one colour using the background stamp, Definitely Dahlia (pg 129 AC)!

My base is Mint Macaron card stock with a layer of Whisper White card and a strip of the 2015-2017 In Colour DSP Stack.

The image is stamped with Mint Macaron ink onto the white card. This is so quick to make and super effective. I love its simplicity and how versatile, whether it be Birthday, Sympathy, Thinking of You or even a Farewell card!

The gorgeous White Satin Robbin tied in a knot adds femininity.

I added some butterflies, using the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches. The smaller butterfly was stamped first using the Papillon Potpourri stamp set.

Bokeh Birthday

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a feminine card using the Bokeh technique.

This is a really fun and effective look for any background to a card.

This sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set, which is one of the 4 Hostess Sets in the annual catalogue.

I love how it has the Happy Birthday sentiment, but that you can add some of the other words to it to make it such a versatile and must have stamp set! Be sure to get yours today with any $250 order.

I have added “to an amazing woman” as I don’t quite think “to a wonderful man” was very appropriate, hehe.

Just Add Butterflies

Dear Crafters,

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is to Just Add Butterflies, JAI#272.

Butterflies #Stampin'Up!

I began by embossing the black card with the Butterflies TIEF in the Big Shot. I die cut the two banners using the Lots of Labels Framelits.

I stamped the flowers (Awesomely Artistic stamp set) in Versamark ink, then added clear embossing powder and heat set. I used the Blender Pens with Wild Wasabi ink to colour them.

Colours used: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi and Gold.

The sentiment is from the Greetings Thinlits in gold glitter paper, as is the butterfly (Bold Butterfly Framelits).

Brick Wall

Dear Crafters,

Today I share another product new to the annual catalogue, the Brick Wall TIEF. It is a 6″ x 6″ embossing folder, so super large to emboss a bigger area!

I have not done any stamping on the front of this card at all, so check it out!

Let’s get started.

I embossed a piece of whisper white cardstock and then used my sponge daubers in a circular motion to colour the wall. I used Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate & Tip Top Taupe.

The butterfly is made from die cuts using the Bold Butterfly Framelits. The bottom layer is vellum and the next is Watermelon Wonder. I added some gold thread behind the butterfly and a gorgeous blossom accent to the front with a small pearl which I coloured with a metallic gold sharpie pen.

I added some Cucumber Crush leaves die cut from the Flower Frenzy Bigz die (retired).

Don’t forget to decorate the inside of your card too with another little butterfly!

Tin of Cards

Let’s get started!

I began with stamping each of the dividers in Jet Black Stazon.

Then I stamped the cute little border around each of the dividers with Mint Macaron ink to match the colour of the tin!

Now I have the dividers sorted, time to get making the 16 cards, 45 of each design.

This first card is all pre-stamped except for the banner which I stamped with Mint Macaron ink.

I cannot tell you just how quick and easy these cards are to make and the instructions are very easy to follow.

This next card I adhered the yellow strip and then stamped the crosses above and below. I stamped the happy birthday with Stazon ink and added the gold glimmer heart that was already punched for me!

Sorry about the reflections in this card, but that gold is so shiny, it was impossible not to get reflections. The hardest part about putting this one together is getting the twine to sit exactly how you want it behind the circle image!!!

And for the last design, has to be my favourite because it has butterflies!

This one was a bit more stamping, but still super easy and I love the look of this one.

Butterflies, Gift Ideas

Gift Box for a set of Cards & Envelopes

Dear Crafters,

Today I share with you a gift box for a set of cards & envelopes and stamped with the Watercolour Wings stamp set.

I started with a 12″ x 12″ sheet of cardstock and cut it down to 8″ x 11-1/2″.

Score the long side at ¾”, 5-3/8”, 6-1/8”, 10-¾”.

Score the short side at 7-1/4”.

Stamp your images as shown.

Place short edge back on Simply Scored and score at ¾” (through the butterfly) so it gives a wrap around effect. Fold and burnish all the score lines. Cut notches and add adhesive as shown. I put the base together first then used the 1″ circle punch for the notch at the front, before adhering the lid together.

I stamped the butterfly starting with Watermelon Wonder, the second image in Cucumber Crush, then the final image in Island Indigo. This is what it looks like when opened up with cards and envelopes inside!
