Heart of Christmas: Dashing Along Reindeer

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

Today, I am using the Dashing Along DSP which can be earned for FREE with a qualifying order. Ask me how!

This paper pack coordinates beautifully with the Dashing Deer Bundle. I have some very simple cards using these products to share tonight. This is a great way to use up some of your left over pieces of Designer paper and to show off all the different designs in the pack!

Dashing Along with Dashing Deer by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia, Holiday 2018

First, I stamped the sentiment in Versamark using the Stamparatus then added some Silver Embosing powder and heat set it. Next, I cut 1/2″ strips of Designer paper and glued them to the front of the card, offsetting them slightly. The reindeer is die cut in Silver Glimmer paper and added with dimensionals.

Here is the same card but in Cherry Cobbler!

Dashing Along with Dashing Deer by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia, Holiday 2018.

Did you notice that the reindeer is facing the other way too? Well, I found it was better to place the die on the back of the glimmer paper rather than the glitter side, as it cuts so much easier!

Which one do you like best, the Red or the Green card?

Colour Creations: how about Early Espresso for Christmas?!

AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Early Espresso!!!

I have made a Christmas card, which I guess is a strange option using Early Espresso, but I think it actually works quite well, as I have used lots of metallic embossing that screams Christmas to me!

Star of Light with Stampin Ups Tin Tile TIEF by Kate Morgan Australia 2018.JPG

The Star of Light stamp set and coordinating framelits can be found in the Annual Catalogue and are still a wonderful option along with the Holiday catalogue.

Don’t you just love all the shine of the metallics on this card?

I used the Tin Tile Embossing folder with some Copper Foil before I sponged some Early Espresso ink onto it. I then sprinkled on some Gold Embossing Powder in small sections and heat set it. I repeated this process with the Silver and then the Copper Embossing Powders and finished with some Clear Embossing Powder over the Early Espresso ink that may not have been covered, otherwise it would rub off.

Star of Light using Stampin Ups Tin Tile TIEF by Kate Morgan Australia 2018

The star was die cut in Early Espresso card and the smaller fancy die in Copper foil.

Look at just how shiny this background is!!! So pretty. The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink and copper embossing powder. I used my paper snips to create the banner, but you could also use the Triple Banner Punch. I send Christmas cards to some of my friends who are male and live alone, so this is the perfect card choice for one of them this Christmas!

Heart of Christmas, Week 5: Merry Christmas to All

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

How are you enjoying our weekly Heart of Christmas blog hop? Isn’t it a fantastic way of building up a stash of Christmas cards?!! I enjoyed it last year, but I am loving it even more this year.

Today’s card is a very simple one. I just love this piece of Designer paper from the All is Bright DSP pack. Because it’s a fairly busy piece and I didn’t want to chop it up and cover it too much, I decided to make a 5″ square card. I placed a layer of Gold Foil behind the DSP and glued it to a Merry Merlot card base. I stamped “Christmas” first and then die cut the “Merry” and glued it onto the card.

I adore this reversible Copper and Merry Merlot Ribbon and had to add a pretty bow!

Merry Christmas to All Stampin Up Australia by Kate Morgan 2018.JPG

I covered the “Merry” with the Wink of Stella Brush for some added glitter to match the ribbon.

Merry Christmas to All Stampin Up by Kate Morgan Australia 2018.JPG

The inside of this card continues with the use of some DSP, Gold Foil and this wonderful sentiment!

Colour Creations: Daffodil Delight

AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Daffodil Delight!!!

I made this card for my nephew who turned 4 last week. Happy Birthday Mitchell ♥

I love Daffodil Delight with Blueberry Bushel together. I also love this new Buffalo Check stamp! How good does it look? I reckon it makes the perfect shirt for my pocket. I don’t have the Pocket Framelits, so I had to make my own. Once I got the shape right, I embossed it with the Subtles TIEF and then used my paper piercing tool to create the stitching. How good does it look? I wonder why there is a tab to pull with “LOOK’ on it?

4th Birthday Buffalo Check Pocket card by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2018.JPG

I would have loved to see his face when he pulled the tab! Unfortunately I couldn’t be there to see him as they live in Paynesville, Gippsland, but I’m assured he was amazed to find some cash!

4th Birthday Buffalo Check Pocket card by Kate Morgan Stampin Up, Australia 2018

I think this sentiment is perfect for a 4 year old… isn’t every birthday the biggest occasion when you are a kid?!

Heart of Christmas: Joyous Noel is divine

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

Tonight, I am sharing more stunning product from the new Holiday Catalogue, which started today! Be sure to request your own copy of the catalogue.

Joyous Noel Merry Christmas to All Stampin Up Australia by Kate Morgan 2018

I adore this Joyous Noel Designer Series paper with its hints of copper foil, just stunning. My base card is Merry Merlot, embossed with the new Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder. A strip of the Joyous Noel DSP is added to the top and some Merry Merlot & Copper Reversible Ribbon… yes, reversible ribbon, is tied in a loose knot and added. I tied the copper star wire element to the ribbon with a small piece of copper metallic thread so it dangles down.

Joyous Noel Merry Christmas to All Stampin Up Australia by Kate Morgan, 2018

I embossed the sentiment using Versamark ink and Copper Embossing Powder and heat set it. I die cut it out using the Merry Christmas Thinlits die before dragging the edges across the Versamark ink pad and dipping them in the copper embossing powder. How pretty does it look?!

This stamp set is photopolymer, so they are easy to line up perfectly every time, and look how crisp the sentiment is, just perfect!!!

Colour Creations: Crushed Curry for Father’s Day

AWH Colour Creations Blog Hop

Hello Crafters,

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Crushed Curry!!!

I have paired it up with the Best Route Designer Series Paper. I mean who doesn’t love blues and yellows together, right?!

I have created this fancy fold card, but I have no idea what it would be called. There was no tutorial for it, I just cut up cardstock and made it up on the spot. LOL

I made it for my Father-in-law for Father’s Day and I had it in my mind to get him a Dan Murphy gift card, so this had to have a spot to slide it in somewhere. I also know that he will need to travel 80kms to get to his nearest Dan Murphy store (they live in a rural area), so why not use the Best Route DSP for a bit of fun!

Crushed Curry Colour Creations using Stampin Up Best Route DSP by Kate Morgan Australia 2018

The Stitched Labels framelits were perfect to fit on the front of the card and the sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, of course stamped in Crushed Curry ink.

Crushed Curry Colour Creations using Stampin Up Best Route DSP by Kate Morgan Australia 2018.

Here it is open – the card base is one piece of A5 card and then the 3 fold flap is one piece (4-1/4″ x 10-1/2″) scored at 3-1/2″ & 7″ and glued to the A5 card. The two smaller pieces of DSP are 3-1/4″ x 4″, as was the yellow piece for the gift card, but I cut the banner shape into it with paper snips and used the excess on the front of the card!

I need to hold it together to post, so I tied some Blueberry Bushel 1/8″ Grosgrain ribbon around and tied it in a bow!

On the back I added a white panel with the embossed image also from the Stitched Labels framelits set.

Merry Christmas to All

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

Tonight, I have more sneak peek products from the new Holiday Catalogue, starting on 5th September. I feature the Merry Christmas to All Bundle, a stamp set and the coordinating Merry Christmas Thinlits dies.

You will notice loads of other new product too; the Festive Farmhouse DSP and Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint used on the Christmas die cut… can you see that stunning shimmer?!!! It’s also on the Sprig Punch. I used the AquaPainter to apply the Shimmer Paint directly to the Mossy Meadow cardstock. Such a fun way to add a glittery shine, and while I was punching the sprig, I also punched some from the Champagne Foil to coordinate with the paint.

Merry Christmas to All Stampin Up Australia by Kate Morgan 2018.JPG

The Christmas die cut is cut twice, once in Very Vanilla and then in the Mossy Meadow with the Shimmer Paint wash. I slightly offset them when gluing down for the light shadow effect to really make it pop on the dark background.

I coloured the rhinestones with the Darker shade of a Real Red Stampin’ Blends Marker. On the inside of the card, I added two small strips of the same Designer Paper down the left side and stamped the words in the centre. Isn’t it a lovely sentiment and the font is divine! I am so impressed with this bundle, it has so many combinations you can choose.

Sneak Peek of Buffalo Check with Baby Bear & Copper accents

Welcome to another Art With Heart Team Colour Creations weekly Blog Hop. Today we are featuring Crumb Cake!!!

I am using the Baby Bear stamp set with the new Buffalo Check background stamp (available 5 September in the Holiday catalogue). I have only used two colours; Crumb Cake and Copper… can you believe that?!!!

Baby Bear is a photopolymer 3-step stamp and I used it with the Stamparatus to get the darkest colour I could for the 3rd image. The 2nd image is inked a couple of times and the 1st image only once, to get the colour variation. The Buffalo Check background stamp I also did with the Stamparatus to get a nice dark colour, reinking about 7 or 8 times!

Baby Bear & Buffalo Check with Copper for Colour Creations Crumb Cake Challenge by Kae Morgan, Stampin Up Australia.JPG

I used the Versamark inkpad and wiped it along the edges of the checked layer and dipped it in copper embossing powder and heat set. I love how it gives a jagged look and not the perfect layer. I added a copper foil layer using the Layering Squares Scallop framelit before adding the baby bear layer with dimensionals. I love the copper trim bow too. Those metallic brass brads you’ll find on page 198 of the Annual catalogue!

Art with Heart Blog Hop: Coloured in Images

AWH Blog Hop Colouring.jpg

Dear Crafters,

We hope our blog hop inspires you to pick up some Stampin’ Write Markers, Watercolour Pencils, Stampin Blends Markers or another form of colouring medium and colour in with your stamps. Don’t forget to contact any of the ladies on the blog hop to order any products, especially the limited edition colour your season products.

There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.

Now let’s get started!

My projects tonnight are a sneak peek into the upcoming Holiday catalogue available from 5 September and I’m using the Cauldron Bubble Bundle.

Colouring In Blog Hop with Cauldron Bubble by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia
I have used Gorgeous Grape for the card base and a layer of Call Me Clover. I stamped the stars in Gorgeous Grape ink before adding the spider web, die cut in Basic Black card. The little spider trinkets are also part of this suite and add that extra touch! The cat, broomstick and the witch are stamped in Memento Black ink and coloured in with Stampin’ Blends Markers; Call Me Clover, Highland Heather, Basic Black, Ivory and Bronze. Then these were die cut and added to the card with dimensionals.

Colouring In Blog Hop with Cauldron Bubble by Kate Morgan, Stampin Up Australia 2018

For my next card, I have used Basic Black as my card base with a layer of Highland Heather, and a strip of the Toil & Trouble DSP. Under this is a piece of the stunning Black Glitter Organza ribbon! It is so sparkly and pretty. I have used the Watercolour Pencils to colour in these images and blended the colour with a Blender Pen.

Colouring In Blog Hop with Stampin Up Cauldron Bubble Bundle by Kate Morgan, Australia 2018
Can you see how sparkly the caudron is and the spider web?!!! Well, to create these, I used the new Champagne Glimmer Paint and an AquaPainter to cover a piece of Basic Black card. Once it is dry, you can die cut the cauldron. I stamped the cauldron again in Granny Apple Green and Real Red, coloured them with Watercolour pencils, before fussy cutting the flames and the bubbles and gluing them to the cauldron. The stars are also created in a similar way, with Champagne Glimmer Paint of Black and Gold Shimmer Paint on whisper white card.

I also coloured the hat and used the Granny Apple Green watercolour pencil to create the band across the hat, gluing it on with Tombo Multipurpose glue. Make sure you purchase your Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2 pack now, as they won’t be available after 31st August. They really are awesome for anyone who loves to colour!

Heart of Christmas: Dashing Deer

Heart of Christmas Blog Hop.jpg

The Art With Heart Team ladies had so much fun creating Christmas projects for our weekly Heart of Christmas blog hop last year, that we are returning with weekly Chrissy festivities for you! Once a week we will have Christmas inspiration until the end of November.

Today, I am sharing a sneak peek of some of the lovely products in the new Holiday Catalogue, which starts on 5th September.

I’m using the Dashing Deer Bundle; Dashing Deer stamp set and the coordinating Detailed Deer Thinlits dies. Who doesn’t love a Reindeer?!!! I also feature the Dashing Along DSP. You can earn this exclusive Dashing Along Designer Series Paper pack for free (in addition to Stampin’ rewards) when hosting a holiday catalogue event with $400 in sales from 1st – 30th September.

Dashing Deer Christmas card Stampin Up by Kate Morgan, Australia

The Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is used on the Crumb Cake base card. Three panels; Gold Foil, Cherry Cobbler and the Dashing Along DSP are cut to different lengths with the Banner Triple Punch and layered on each other. The sentiment is stamped with Versamark ink and Gold Embossing Powder applied, then heat set.

Dashing Deer Christmas card Stampin Up by Kate Morgan, Australia 2018

The deer being the main feature, had to be sparkly, so I cut it in Gold Glimmer of course!!!

The inside of the card has another sentiment stamped in Cherry Cobbler and the two swirly dies are also part of this same bundle, finishing off the inside nicely.
