Heart of Gold

Dear Crafters,

Gold is in this year and so I have created a nice shiny gold heart of flowers!

This is a sneak peek of the Bloomin’ Love stamp set, new in the Occasions catalogue starting 5th January 2016.

I used a Blushing Bride card base and layered some Whisper White card which was stamped with versamark ink and gold embossed using the heat tool. The bottom section is some of the Love Blossoms DSP which you would have seen in recent blog posts…. I love it!

The Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon is beautiful and finishes this card nicely.

How beautiful is this butterfly which was created using the Bold Butterfly Framelits and Butterflies Thinlits. The bottom layer is vellum, then blushing bride, then rose red and finished with a gorgeous Iced Rhinestone Embellishment.

Ninja Turtles

Dear Crafters,

My 6 year old has been invited to a 6th birthday party of one of her classmates and apparently he loves Ninja Turtles, so this is what I have made for him!

I added some of those cute googly eyes which I think give them so much more character.

I used the 1-1/4″ circle punch and the Large oval punch to create the turtles head from Wild Wasabi card.

The bandanna’s are made from 1/2″ strips of Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquoise & Real Red. The Triple Banner punch was used to create the ends of the bandanna.

The mouth is drawn by hand.

The black background is embossed with the Hexagon TIEF.

I saw a similar card on Pinterest, so not entirely my idea, but oh how cute are they?!

Dear Crafters,

Oh how I love glitter and when we were shown these items at the On Stage Local Stampin’ Up! event 2 weeks ago, ready for release on 5 January, this new Blushing Bride glitter paper is simply stunning , and I had to have it!!!

This is the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit and the perfect die for this glitter paper.

I used a crumb cake card base and layered some blushing bride card which was embossed with the Elegant Dots TIEF. The sentiment (Bloomin’ Love stamp set) is stamped onto whisper white card in crumb cake and blushing bride inks then fussy cut and added with dimensionals.

A Rudolf Christmas

Dear Crafters,

Well, it is the last day of November and I have nearly finished creating my Christmas cards. Here is one final card for a very special friend who is going through a lot of challenges in her life and I know this will cheer her up immensely.

Rudolf is made using the following punches:

1/2″ circle punch (nose & feet)
3/4″ circle punch (nose)
2″ x 1-3/8″ oval punch (body)
Pansy punch (chest)
Owl builder punch (head & eyes)
Tree builder punch (antlers & ears)

I used smoky slate, sahara sand, whisper white, cherry cobbler and basic black cardstock.

The Merry Moments DSP Stack banner is cut with the Banner Triple punch, as is the silver glimmer card.

The sentiment is from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set.

Isn’t it just the cutest?!!!!

Dear Crafters,

Oh how I love when Stampin’ Up! release a new catalogue and it has a masculine stamp set and coordinating Embossing folder that really takes my fancy!

This is the Going Places stamp set and the coordinating Going Places Designer Series Paper are awesome!

I used a black card base and layered some DSP and banners (Sahara Sand & Island Indigo), then used the 2″ circle punch to create the globe of the stamped image and popped it up on dimensionals. Even the sentiment is perfect for this card and is from the same stamp set!

And if you missed it last week, this was one I started at the On Stage Local event. This card showcases the World Traveler TIEF which we inked up and used as the background. How cool is that?!
