Monthly Creative Showcase: Summer Theme
Tonight’s card is based on what Summer time means to me – hot days, school holidays, lazy days at home and boy, am I looking forward to the end of the school year!!!
This card is a bit of a mix of Melbourne and our holiday to Hanuama Bay, Hawaii, where we snorkelled with turtles!
The bright beach boxes are a true Melbourne icon and I have made mine in Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point and Real Red. The sand is So Saffron card as my base, with the wave patterned paper glued at the bottom and the top section is Shaded Spruce with Coastal Cabana behind for the palm trees. This was cut using the Friendly Silhouette dies.
That little turtle is cut out of the Whale of a Time DSP and the waves are also part of this paper stack. The Whale of a Time Sequins & shells are added with a glue dot.
While in isolation, it has been wonderful to have our travel memories, and to dream of one day going on another fantastic holiday.
