Hello Crafters,

My love for this stamp set, Stippled Blossoms continues and I find it so feminine.

I showed you a Scallop Tag Topper Punch Bookmark Card last week, and I have made another one but a 4″ x 4″.

I have used Raspberry Ripple, Blushing Bride and Whisper White for my colours, but you could choose so many from the Stampin’ Up! range!

Here it is open so you can see the inside of the card and the “tear off” bookmark on the right hand side!

Love, love, love this stamp set…. have I already mentioned that?!!!!

Blendabilities

I have some exciting news for those of you who use our Blendabilities!

Stampin’ Blendabilities Markers are exclusive, alcohol-based marker sets that come in a 3-pack of light, medium and dark shades (of the same colour), and provide your projects a more saturated look with blended colours. We recommend using Stampin’ Up! Whisper White Cardstock with your Stampin’ Up! Blendabilities, but choosing any one of our cardstocks will add a unique look to your project. We also recommend that you only use them with ink pads from our list of compatible pads. And because traditional alcohol markers require a bit of training, we’ve developed a few videos to ensure that Blendabilities are easy-to-use for everyone! What Sets Them Apart:

The Stampin’ Up! rectangular barrel keeps your markers from rolling away!
Flat storage helps to maintain the life of each marker.
Each marker comes with a tip on each end: brush and fine.
Marker tips are made of nylon, which is superior to polyester which can fray.
Colour coded caps.
Stampin’ Up! markers coordinate wonderfully with our cardstock, and can be used with transparent sheets

Bookmark Card

Hello Crafters,

The challenge this week at Just Add Ink is a colour challenge, JAI#239.

My love for Lost Lagoon continues and this was the perfect challenge for me this week. I wanted to try something new that I have wanted to create for some time and it is a Bookmark Card. You know when you want to give someone a card but with an extra little something special? Well this is the card for you!

You still don’t see what I am talking about? Hmmm, check out the next photo!

Aha, now you can see the inside of the card and the right hand side is a bookmark!

This bookmark is perforated where it joins the card, so the recipient can tear it off to keep and use as a bookmark when reading their favourite novel.

How cool is that?

Here is a close up of the front of the card with lots of layers.

Hexagon Flower Frenzy

Hello Crafters,

What a glorious Melbourne Cup Weekend we have had and so today I share something that is just as colourful and floral!

Hexagon Flower Frenzy

This is my first time using the Hexagon Hive Thinlit and I wanted it to be a darker, dull shade so that the colour of the DSP behind really pops!

The DSP is from the pack called Confetti Celebration. It has such bright and beautiful colours in it, including Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Tangelo Twist and Whisper White.

As you can see I have used Pistachio Pudding card for the leaves and the flowers are Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush and the Silver Glitter paper!

I sponged the edges of each of the die cut images with the coordinating inks.

This background puts a smile on my face, it is just so bright and cheery and brings loads of dimension to this card.

Hello Crafters,

This morning I share with you a card I made for a birthday party my daughter went to on Saturday. I had no idea what to make for this 8 year old boy, so I went searching for ideas on Pinterest (my favourite place for brilliant ideas)!

I saw a card similar to this on Sarah-Jane Rae‘s blog in the UK.

This is a great card for any Star Wars fan!

Hope you are all enjoying the Melbourne Cup Carnival as I know I certainly am, as we have the Monday and Tuesday off work!!!

Kids Cards

Little Buddy

Hello Crafters,

The challenge this week at Just Add Ink is Just Add a Sketch, JAI#238.

I hadn’t inked up the stamp set, Little Buddy Birthday, so I stamped the birthday cake image in Calypso Coral ink over the same colour card base to create the background. Then I cut a banner from the Confetti Celebrations DSP with the Banners Framelits.

I used the Circles Framelits to die cut the large circle and embossed it with the Large Polka Dot TIEF.

I stamped the image directly onto the Confetti Celebrations DSP and cut it out with paper snips. I thought that was the perfect patterned paper for this cute little critter!!!

Next, I stamped the birthday cake image, coloured it with Stampin’ Write Markers and punched it out with the 1″ circle punch. I then added an epoxy resin circle over the top.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set and punched out with the Modern Label punch before sponging the edges with the coordinating ink and a sponge dauber.

Birthday, feminine

Flower Patch

Hello Crafters,

This morning I share with you a card I have made for the mum of a close friend of mine. I always remember her birthday because it is Halloween, but today it is a special birthday. I cannot believe that she is the age she is, so I will just call it a big ‘0’ birthday! Anyway, happy big ‘0’ birthday Mrs Nerra!!!!!

I know how much she loves her garden and her flowers, so I had to use the Flower Patch and coordinating Flower Fair Framelits.

Flower Patch

The base Bermuda Bay and embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder. The banners are framelits and I used them with the Strawberry Slush DSP Stack and some vellum.

I stamped the Flower Patch Stamps with Strawberry Slush and Blushing Bride inks and the leaves are Pistachio Pudding and Bermuda Bay. These are all die cut using the Flower Fair Framelits.

I also added some gold sequins for a bit of bling and the Happy Blooming Birthday sentiment was just perfect for this occasion!

I added some of the stamps to the bottom corner of the inside of the card. I always decorate the inside as it just ties the whole card together.

Tic Tac Box

This morning I share with you some cute little gift ideas that I am trialling for the kids school teachers for the end of the year!

I got this idea from Pootles in the UK, but wanted to make them bigger with the giant tic tac boxes, so here we go.

Tic Tac Box

The base measures 5-1/4″ x 3-1/2″ and scored on the long edge at 2-1/8″ & 3-1/8″.

The band on the inside is 9-1/2″ x 1″.

The DSP is 1/8″ smaller to decorate.

I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments Stamp Set in Strawberry Slush on Whisper White card and punched it out with the small oval punch. I also punched 3 flowers from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack in Blushing Bride card. I sponged the edges of all punched images with Strawberry Slush ink.
