A sugar hit for Boxing Day!

What a busy Christmas Day we had with all the family and extended family coming to our house to celebrate. I love seeing all the kids, cousins and our newest member, Conor who is 5 weeks old, join us! It is a time for no one being excluded and I love that everyone came who we had invited. The relaxed atmosphere and everyone helping themselves and feeling comfortable, made my day.

I can now share with you a couple of the kids gifts for my nieces and nephews. As they are getting older and they have everything they need, I find it difficult to buy for them, so we give them each a gift card. But this year, I wanted to make it a bit different to the usual gift card holder or just putting it in an envelope with a card, so I found these glass jars, placed the gift card inside and filled them up with lollies. I mean, what kid doesn’t love some extra sugar on Christmas Day, right?!!!

To decorate the tops, I tied some ribbon around each one and added a monogram of their name (luckily they are all different initials) in glimmer paper, with a starburst punch of Christmas DSP and a circle die cut of coordinating card. How beautiful do they look?

Oh deer, Vanilla & Gold!

Today, is the last day of school for 2018 for my girls and the final day of primary school for my eldest daughter :0  It has been a big week, with her Graduation night on Tuesday evening and half day of school today to end the year.

Anyway, I have another Christmas card for you before my in-laws arrive tomorrow for the start of our Christmas celebrations. This one is simply some DSP, Gold Foil and the Detailed Deer die cut.

The sentiment is stamped on strips of card with Versamark ink, Gold Emboss Powder applied and set with the heat tool. Then I cut the words up and added with dimensionals. These are quite simple and you could mass produce them with not too much trouble.

Under the Mistletoe this Christmas

Today, I am sharing a Christmas card that is so easy to create. It’s just cutting some strips of the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper and gluing them to the front of the card.

I stamped the sentiments in Shaded Spruce using the Merry Christmas to All stamp set and used the coordinating framelits to cut it out and sponged around the edges, before adding it to the front of the card with dimensionals. I also used the 1/2″ circle punch to take a tiny bit from the centre spine of the card to thread through some red ribbon and tie it in a bow at the front. I added some Sprigs of Mistletoe punched from some of the Joyous Noel Glimmer paper pack for some added sparkle!

Christmas made easy with DSP!

Today, I am sharing a couple of very quick and easy Christmas cards using predominantly Designer Series Paper!

Both of these are using the Santa’s Workshop DSP, a really cute stack of papers and if you look closely, you can see that some of it has flocking on it. The white of that striped background, has a velvety feel to it, as does the apron, and hat trims of those little elves!!!

These cards use Garden Green card bases with layers of Designer paper. Can you believe there is absolutely no stamping on these cards?! The words are die cut using the Merry Christmas Thinlits dies.
