Peach Pie: Birthday fun fold card

Week 36 – Peach Pie

The front of this handmade card has the Lovely & Beautiful Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) with a belly band featuring the Beautiful Butterflies dies and the Nested Essentials dies, with their lovely stitched edge feature.

Remove the belly band and you have an expanding card revealing the occasion!

It is was very hard to photograph the entire length, but I think you can see how it would stand up to display in a zigzag kind of way.

Here it is lying flat so you can see the whole card. It is practically two cards joined together.

There was quite a bit of work involved with all the diecutting of the letters and the background pieces they are adhered to, but it was worth it in the end.

Lemon Lime Twist: Concertina Fun Fold card

Week 28 – Lemon Lime Twist

This handmade fun fold card features the Charming Day Bundle. I have paired Lemon Lime Twist with Berry Burst and Night of Navy.

Here is a closeup of the ink blending on that beautiful rose and the dry embossing on the Lemon Lime Twist card with the Beautiful Patterns Embossing Folder.

But here is where the magic happens, as you open the card to reveal this concertina. The gorgeous Floral Charm Designer Series Paper coordinates with the Charming Day stamps, which you can see stamped in the background as a tone on tone look and the floral on the White panel was done with Write Markers, inking directly onto the stamp and onto the card.

The Branching Out dies were used to cut the 2 centre panels for the concertina to slide through. Connie Stewart, Simply Simple Stamping gave me the idea for this card.

Charming Day Gatefold card

This handmade fun fold card features the Charming Day Bundle and the Floral Charm Designer Series Paper (DSP). It is the normal card base size (21cm x 14.8cm or 8¼” x 5-7/8″) in Old Olive, but just scored differently for a fun Gatefold design. I scored mine at 7.5cm & 18cm (3″ & 7-1/8″). The feature panel on the front is 8cm x 9.5cm (3-1/8″ x 3-5/8″) and the Basic White is 7.5cm x 9cm (3″ x 3-1/4″).

Here is a closeup of the gorgeous roses and the dry embossing with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder. The flowers sre stsmped in Pecan Pie ink and Blends Combo Markers are Timid Tiger, Peach Pie, Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.

Some Brushed Brass Butterflies and one of the sentiments from the Greetings For You Mix &
Match Ephemera Pack were added.

On the inside, I always add another stamped image as well as on the envelope!

Highland Heather: Star Gate Fold card with matching envelope

Week 27 – Highland Heather

This handmade card heavily features the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper in a clever fun fold design and measures 5¾” x 5¾”, so I will show you how to create a 6″ x 6″ matching envelope!

because this card won’t fit into a standard envelope, I had to create my own!

How you can make this matching envelope

Start with a piece of patterned paper 9½” x 9½”. Pencil mark each of the 4 sides at 4¾” and score between each one. Where each of the scorelines crossover, cut away this section. Add Tear & Tape/adhesive as shown, fold in the sides before the bottom section with the adhesive.

Calypso Coral: Hexagon Twisted Card

Week 14 – Calypso Coral

This handmade fun fold card features the Mixed Florals stamp set and coordinating dies and the Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP).

Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers were used to colour the images that were stamped in Black Memento ink. Under the feature image is some Black Two Tone cardstock (lighter shade side), Lace Doilies and some Gold Twisted Thread.

As you start to open the card you get a glimpse of what is to come!

Under these featured images is some Black Two Tone cardstock (lighter shade side) and another of the Lace Doilies.

Here is the card fully open where you can see the large white diamond in the centre for writing your message to the recipient.

This is the left side showing the sentiment and a leaf in the lower section that pops up when closing the card

on the right side, a similiar situation with more feature images and a different sentiment

Bubble Bath: Multi Panel Pop up 80th Feminine Birthday card

Week 12 – Bubble Bath

This handmade fun fold card requires a belly band to hold it closed and wait until you look inside!

It features the Florals in Bloom Designer Series Paper, Pretty Florals Bundle and the Sweet Blooms Bundle (stamps and coordinating dies). The Everyday Arches dies feature on the Belly band.

Here are the lovely details attached to the belly band. Simply slide it off the card and the beautiful Florals in Bloom DSP is adhered to the front panel.

Ta-da! The multi panels in all their glory. A speical 80th birthday card featuring the Alphabet a la Mode dies to cut the Gold Foil. Some more stamped flowers and gorgeous patterned paper.

Blackberry Bliss: Beautiful Butterflies Z Fold card with easy step-by-step measurements

Week 10 – Blackberry Bliss

This handmade Z Fold card features the Beautiful Butterflies dies and the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper (DSP) and it fits into our C6 envelope.

on the inside

How did I make this?

1. Crumb Cake cardstock 21cm x 21cm, score at 5.25cm & 10.5cm.
2. Fold in half then back on itself to create a Z Fold.
3. Open it out flat, place in the trimmer with scorelines horizontal, and cut at 15cm.
4. Take the smaller section and flip it to create the bottom panel. Before adhering it, add the DSP to each end of the card front and some Basic White on the inside panel to write a message.
5. Add DSP to each end of the panel and a small square if Blackberry Bliss card with a stamped and heat embossed sentiment.
6. Die cut butterflies and adhere to the card, along with another sentiment on the front.

Berry Burst: Pop Up Vase card

Week 9 – Berry Burst

This handmade card features the Pretty Florals Bundle and three different Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs!

The Beautiful Bokeh DSP is used to die cut the petals on the Berry Burst flowers seen in the image below. The leaves were die cut from the reverse side of some Thoughtful Journey DSP for instant varied colour.

Open the card and that is where the pop up vase appears, full of Pretty Florals. The mechanism is attached to the card front and slides to pull the vase into its glory and closing the card, slides it flat again.

The ‘vase’ is from the Perennial Lavender DSP. All the leaves here are die cut from the Thoughtful Journey DSP. All the flowers are stamped onto Beautiful Bokeh DSP and die cut then added to the card, some glued, and some on Mini Dimensionals.

Basic Gray: Thankful Garden Fun Fold card

Week 8 – Basic Gray

This handmade card features @stampinupofficial products; Thankful Garden Bundle, Layered Thoughts stamp set, Lovely Garden DSP and some Ephemera packs.

All the images are stamped in Basic Gray ink and coloured using Blending Brushes and the masks with inks; Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Pretty in Pink, Strawberry Slush, Granny Apple Green and the DSP is coloured with Basic Gray in and a Blender Pen!

When the card is open, you have this wonderful scene and gorgeous sentiment on the inside using the Ephemera packs; Foiled Frames & Labels and the Greetings for All Mix & Match. Those small leaves were stamped and coloured the same way as the Designer Paper.

You can see some extra die cut leaves that have some blending on them and some droplets of water slattered on them.

on the back is the writing panel with the large bold sentiment [Layered Thoughts stamp set].

You may have noticed I also used this fun paper last week too, but this week in totally differrent colours. I love how the Azure Afternoon really pops with this paper. Again, all the images are fussy cut from the DSP.
