Pleat Fold Card

Dear Crafters,

“A party without cakebis just a meeting”, I love that sentiment and I’m sure it will get loads of use.

So today, I’ve tried a new technique which I found on Song of My Heart Stampers website. Although we use slightly different card stock sizes to the USA, I have just altered my design slightly.

I love how bright and cheery this is using Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight and that stunning It’s My Party Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the cake image onto white card stock and fussy cut it out, then added it to the card with dimensionals. The candle is stamped and then punched out, using the candle from the Party Punch Pack. How cute is it?!!!

Blooming Birthday

Dear Crafters,

In January, I made a similar card to this one, but here I have used some brighter colours.

I started with a black card base and added some Bermuda Bay DSP.

Next I stamped the images onto Whisper White card stock using the Memento Black Inkpad. The stems are from the Flower Patch stamp set, as is the sentiment, but those flowers are actually from the Balloon Celebration stamp set. Yes, it is that “wheel” looking stamp that we all looked at and wondered what on earth it goes with in the theme of the balloon celebration stamps.

The flowers are coloured with the Stampin’ Write Markers, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise. I stamped the dotty circle image onto vellum and punched it out with the 3/4″ circle punch.

I added each vellum circle with a glue dot and then added a large pearl to the centre of each flower.

Check out that gorgeous white jute ribbon behind, adding the perfect amount of texture!!!

Birthday Celebration & You Little Furball

Dear Crafters,

Here’s a new idea for that “wheel” like image from the Balloon Celebration stamp set that no one seems to know what to use it for!

In this card I’ve used it as a background stamp!

Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Whisper White are a classic combination. They go so well together.

Then I also thought that it could be used as a ball of wool or roll of string with the kitty cat playing with it!!!

Has this given you some more ideas of what to use this image for?

Who doesn’t love glitter? I certainly do and this card today is no exception.

There are so many different elements with the sentiment die cut using the Party Pop Up thinlits, the Balloon Bouquet punch and the gorgeous Designer Series Papers.

Check out that stunning Blushing Bride Glimmer paper, o sparkly, it’s simply yummy!

The DSP reminds me of confetti and perfect for a birthday celebration.

On Saturday we celebrated my mum’s birthday and can you guess how old she turned?

If you look real close you may be able to see the number in the card.

Dear Crafters,

What a stunning flower this is and with the image embossed in white embossing powder on water colour paper and then coloured with the Aqua painter and inks, it is such a stunning bloom!

I have used Blushing Bride & Mint Macaron with a touch of Delightful Dijon in the centre to colour the bloom.

The sentiment is gold embossed and some blushing bride sequins & cotton ribbon added.

The card base is Watermelon Wonder.

Dear Crafters,

Check out today’s multi-layered card. I don’t usually add so many layers, but I was very happy with how this one turned out!

I was asked to make a few Farewell cards for my workplace, and this was one of them.

Botanical Builder Framelits, Love Blossoms DSP, Farewell Handmade Card, DIY, #stampinup

The card base is Blushing Bride with a layer of the Love Blossom Designer Series Paper.

I embossed the Sahara Sand Banner with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and layered it on a piece of Rose Red card stock which I scored a 1/4″ border around the edge.

I used the Botanical Blooms Framelits Dies for all the blooms and foliage (Blushing Bride, Rose Red, So Saffron, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White & Love Blossoms DSP).

The Blushing Bride Satin ribbon was tied in a bow and finishes off this stunning card (if I do say so myself lol).

Bloomin’ Heart at JAI

Today I enter a challenge at Just Add Ink. The challenge this week is from Rochelle who has suggested we all “Just Add Something New”.

With the new Occasions catalogue going live on 5th January, we have plenty of new yummy products to choose from.

Anyway, lets get rolling!

I started with a Mint Macaron card base and added a piece of the new Birthday Bouquet DSP. A piece of dotted lace trim in Mint Macaron was added across the centre.

Next I die cut the Bloom’ Heart Framelit from Blushing Bride card stock and glued it to some vellum and then cut around the edges with paper snips. This just gave it a more subtle and frosted background.

I stamped the flower images (Bloomin’ Love stamp set) with Blushing Bride ink onto coordinating card stock and die cut them out, before adding with a glue dot and then a pearl into the centre of each one!

The Bow Paper Clip Embellishment was added (how cute are they?!!!)

On the back of the vellum, a dimensional was placed under each of the 5 flowers and added to the card.

I stamped the “celebrate” sentiment (from Beautiful Ride stamp set) in Mint Macaron onto Whisper White card stock and used the banner punch at one end.

Don’t forget to decorate the inside panel along with a coordinating envelope!
