Each Monday, join me for the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop brought to you by the Art With Heart team. We will be showcasing our July-December Mini catalogue and Annual catalogue Christmas products.
The products used for this card, Christmas Season stamp set and the Seasonal Labels dies carried over from last year’s July-December mini catalogue into the 2022-2023 Annual catalogue. I’m so happy they did, as they were one of my favourites last year.
My card base is Shaded Spruce with a layer of Boughs of Holly DSP. Before gluing this to the card base, I felt it needed a little more class, so I die cut a piece of Distressed Gold Specialty paper with the largest Deckled Rectangle die and placed it behind.
While I was die cutting the Gold paper, I also cut some of the foliage. The pine cones are stamped in Soft Suede ink onto the same colour card. the pine needles stamp is in Evening Evergreen. I added a piece of vellum die cut with one of the label dies behind the sentiment. The sentiment is from the Trimming the Tree stamp set. This is popped up on dimensionals with some In Color Twine behind.
The sentiment on the inside is from the Very Best Occasions stamp set.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you can join me next week for more Christmas inspiration!
Please continue to hop and enjoy the wonderful inspiration of Christine Blain.

A beautiful card Kate. I love your various layers including the distressed gold peaking out behind the Boughs of Holly DSP. Your arrangement is gorgeous sitting over the vellum label. Love it. Xxx

The composition of your cards is lovely Kate. I particularly like the addition of the gold deckled edging along the side of your DSP.

Great card Kate! You were right, that extra layer of Distressed Gold is a perfect addition between the base and the DSP. I love that you have picked it up again for some of the foliage. Lovely balance of elements!

Such a great idea to use the gold deckled layer behind the DSP, Kate. It really lifts and pops! I love the vellum label too – it adds a touch of softness.

Kate, you’ve picked up the colour and images from this gorgeous DSP so perfectly in your dies. The vellum label die behind the sentiment is such a lovely touch too. Beautiful card using my fave DSP too!
