Believe in the magic

2022 Heart of Christmas LogoEach Monday, join me for the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop brought to you by the Art With Heart team. We will be showcasing our July-December Mini catalogue and Annual catalogue Christmas products.

My card designs today are very simple, but with Vanilla and Gold, they have loads of shine!

Colour Combination - Cobbler Succulent Vanilla Gold

Card 1
The Lights Aglow Specialty Designer paper in the background has the gold accents. Then I also swiped my Versamark ink pad around all edges, sat it in some Gold Emboss Powder, removed any excess before heat setting it. Doesn’t it look great without adding bulk of an extra layer of card.
I repeated this same process on the centre panel. The Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set was used with the Stamparatus to line up the sentiment, although being photopolymer, the images are clear so you can line them up easily. The outline is Gold embossed and then I used my Soft Succulent ink for the solid image.

Here you can see the gold embossing better in the sentiment and around the edges, also the Snowfall Accents Puff Paint on the hat and the Fine Tip Glue on the lights!

Card 2
This card features more of the Lights Aglow Specialty DSP, with the panel down the left and the Christmas tree is cut from my favourite design. I thought it was perfect as I didn’t need to decorate the tree!

The card base is dry embossed with the Wintry 3D folder.  Some Gold Shimmer Ribbon is wrapped around the Vanilla DSP, then a bow tied on the front. This panel is adhered with Stampin’ Seal. The tree is added on Dimensionals as is the star on top. The base is die cut from the gold Brushed Metallic cardstock and glued to the card – just look at that detail?!!! It is so gorgeous in metallics!

The sentiment from the Trees for Sale stamp set are stamped in Versamark ink, gold emboss powder added and then melted with my Heat Tool. I used my Paper Snips to cut around the words, then glued to the tree.

Trimming the Tree cards

2022 Heart of Christmas LogoEach Monday, join me for the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop brought to you by the Art With Heart team. We will be showcasing our July-December Mini catalogue and Annual catalogue Christmas products.

Some things are great on their own but become epic when they are paired with coordinating dies! Tonight I have two cards using the Trimming the Tree Bundle (save 10%). The Trimming the Tree stamp set is already in the catalogue, but the Tree Trimming dies are exclusive to the Perfect Partners promotion and are only available while supplies last during September (they will not be available in future catalogues).

Card 1 – I have added a layer of Gingham Cottage DSP to a Thick Basic White card base. I placed the tree stamp onto the Stamparatus plate and inked it up with Mint Macaron. I also took a sponge dauber and some Garden Green ink and daubed some around the edges before stamping onto Basic White card. Using the coordinating dies, cut out the tree and some of the little bows from 2022-24 In Color Glimmer paper.

The base is die cut from Kraft card. The Fabulous Frames dies were used to cut the 4 corner pieces from Gold Foil. The vellum was run through my Cut & Emboss machine in the Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder. Doesn’t it look amazing?!

Glue the Gold Foil pieces to the vellum layer and add the tree on dimensionals. Place glue on the back of the vellum behind all the pieces added so it doesn’t show through once dry. Adhere this to the card. I finished off with a Gold & Vanilla Satin edged ribbon bow adhered with a glue dot.

Card 2 – The card base is Evening Evergreen. The patterned paper in the background is from the Lights Aglow Specialty DSP with a piece of Gold Shimmer Ribbon across the join. Adhere this to the card base.

The tree is die cut from a piece of the Gingham Cottage DSP with a Distressed Gold Specialty paper star and basket. The bows are die cut from the 2022-24 In Color Glimmer paper. The sentiment is stamped onto Basic White card in Mint Macaron ink and die cut. The tree and sentiment are added on dimensionals.

Christmas Season Holiday card

2022 Heart of Christmas LogoEach Monday, join me for the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop brought to you by the Art With Heart team. We will be showcasing our July-December Mini catalogue and Annual catalogue Christmas products.

The products used for this card, Christmas Season stamp set and the Seasonal Labels dies carried over from last year’s July-December mini catalogue into the 2022-2023 Annual catalogue. I’m so happy they did, as they were one of my favourites last year.

My card base is Shaded Spruce with a layer of Boughs of Holly DSP. Before gluing this to the card base, I felt it needed a little more class, so I die cut a piece of Distressed Gold Specialty paper with the largest Deckled Rectangle die and placed it behind.

While I was die cutting the Gold paper, I also cut some of the foliage. The pine cones are stamped in Soft Suede ink onto the same colour card. the pine needles stamp is in Evening Evergreen. I added a piece of vellum die cut with one of the label dies behind the sentiment. The sentiment is from the Trimming the Tree stamp set. This is popped up on dimensionals with some In Color Twine behind.

The sentiment on the inside is from the Very Best Occasions stamp set.
