Tonight the Art with Heart team are sharing creative Christmas projects, many featuring products from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue which starts on 4 September.
If you would like a copy of the 2019 – 2020 Annual catalogue or the new Holiday catalogue, contact any of the girls on the blog hop and we will get in touch with you.
If you’re already hopping, then you just came to me from the talented, Claire Daly. If you’re just joining, great! Use the “next” button at the end of my post to hop all the way around. Blog Hops are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post there is a link to the next one. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.
Now let’s get started!
I have made a card and a coordinating Christmas Bon Bon for tonight’s hop using the Brightly Gleaming Suite of products from the new Holiday catalogue.
My Night of Navy card base (29.7cm x 10.5cm) is folded in half. I added a piece of DSP and then a piece of vellum. I stamped the holly in Mossy Meadow ink onto Very Vanilla card twice. I coloured the leaves with the AquaPainter and Mossy Meadow ink. The berries are coloured by putting a bit of the Celestial Copper ink pad onto a clear block and used my Wink of Stella to pick up some of the colour to add to the berries (the photo doesn’t do it justice). The Brightly Gleaming Foil Elements are used for the leaves behind for extra interest.
The sentiment is also stamped with the Celestial Copper ink onto Very Vanilla card and cut out using scissors. It is added with dimensionals. Each of the baubles is created using 6 of the small ornament punched pieces, scored in half and joined together with Tombo Multipurpose Glue. A small copper star element is added at the top of each bauble. I used a Copper Sharpie to hand draw the strings.
This next image is directly from the Holiday catalogue and I loved that we can use this amazing specialty paper and the punch to make Christmas Bon Bons. So of course I had to make one too!
So here is mine to coordinate with my card!
To make my Christmas Bon Bon with the Brightly Gleaming Suite
I used a piece of 12″ x 8½” Brightly Gleaming Specialty DSP.
Place the 8½” side into the Simply Scored and score at 1¾”, 3½”, 5¼”, 7″.
Gently fold on each scoreline.
Using the smaller of the two ornament punches, push the punch all the way into the DSP, centring it on each scoreline and punch on both sides (Keep these punched pieces to make a card).
Place the 12″ side in the Simply Scored, and carefully score both ends at 1½”.
Gently fold on the scorelines so that the short ends are folded back onto the side you want showing.
Fold the Bon Bon into the tube shape and push it down flat with the shorter end on the inside.
Place a strip of Tear & Tape along the edge, and join them together (you may need to insert the punch again to punch out the 1/2 punched shapes).
Push in the ends and tie some of the ½” Classic Weave Ribbon into a bow, but remember to add your treats before you do!
Now it’s time to follow the blog hop to our next participant, Sujatha Harding.

Happy Hopping!
