Simple Stems, part 1

Hello Stampers,

As you know, I am having loads of fun playing with my new supplies from the Sale-a-bration brochure & Occasions catalogue.

Here are some more lovely samples using the Simple Stems Stamp Set which is in the new Occasions Catalogue, available for purchase from 28th January. Just let me know if you would like a copy of the catalogues mailed to you prior to the sale starting!

The gorgeous background papers are delightful and I am finding it really hard to choose between the different packs, so I got a pack of each!!!

Sweet Sorbet is from the Sale-a-bration brochure which if you place an order of $90 or more, you can get a packet for free!

Water Colour Wonder is in the soon to be released Occasions Catalogue and is to die for.

The stamp set, Simple Stems, also has two of its images that coordinate with the Secret Garden Framelits Dies.

Okay, so now for some samples ~ In this first card I used the Water Colour Wonder DSP and stamped the images in Pistachio Pudding and Crisp Canteloupe.

Masculine Sports Card

Hello Stampers,

This is a very simple card to create and takes no time at all. Have you noticed that I love clean, simple cards that are quick to create? Yes, with 2 young children I am always wanting to be able to create a card in 5 minutes if need be, before they get into mischief.

All you need to create this one is some cardstock, the amazing Chevron Punch, adhesives and some ink!

Who’s for Golf?

Hello Stampers,

It is my dad’s birthday this month, and being the avid golfer that he is, I thought I better get my head around making a golf themed card for him.

Stampin Up Golf Card

This is what I came up with!

I used the Petite Pennants Builder Punch to create the trees and the flag, and the circle punch for the ball and oval punch for the hole. The TIEF is Cloudy Day (retired) but I still love it. The rest of the design is fairly self explanatory!

Treat Favour Pouch

Hello Stampers,

This is a very simple treat favour pouch that would be easy for the kids to make for their dads for Valentine’s Day!

This technique is called the diaper fold technique, just the same as when you folded those cloth nappies for your children (cough cough) and you know how quick they were to pin!!! LOL

I used a 6″ x 6″ square piece of Soho Subway Designer Series Paper to create this project, but you could make bigger ones using 12″ x 12″.

Isn’t it so cute? This can be folded in minutes, so no excuses not to have something small to give to your loved ones this Valentines Day.

You can also use these for party favours!

Upright Diamond Fold Card

Hello Stampers,

Today I have been having a play with a new type of card folding technique ~ the Upright Diamond Fold.

It is quite different to any other card I have made before!

Upright Diamond Fold
Front of card

To begin I used a card base of 11” x 7” cardstock .

On both long sides make a mark at 2”, 4”, 6” and 7”

On the left short side make a mark at 3½”

Diamond Fold

Valley fold on the blue lines

Mountain fold on the red lines

Cut on the green lines

To make the diamond shape layer, cut a piece of DSP 3¾” x 6¾”

Diamond

Make a mark at the 1 7/8” on the short sides and 3 3/8” on the long sides.

Cut on the green lines.

Decorate as desired.

I have used the Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper with Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride, Wild Wasabi, and the Designer Frames Embossing Folder.

Flower Shop Explosion Box Card

Happy New Year!

Flower Shop Explosion Box Card

I am loving making these explosion box cards if you haven’t noticed by now! They are so quick and easy and fun to make. All the cutting and scoring is done with the Stampin’ Trimmer.

This card is for my husbands cousin who is turning 26. I think she will love the colours of Wisteria Wonder, Blushing Bride and Pistachio Pudding. I used the Flower Shop Bundle from the current Annual Catalogue and the Papillon Butterfly Stamp set with the coordinating punch.

Don’t forget to have a look through your Holiday catalogue and if there is anything you’d be sorry to miss out on, you have until near the end of this month to order. Most of the range will retire after that. So don’t miss out.

Butterflies, Gift Ideas

Last minute gift ideas

Hello Stampers,

Well Christmas is almost upon us and I haven’t quite finished my Christmas shopping, although it is quite difficult with two young children to shop while they are with you. I only need a few small things to add to their Santa sacks, but of course they cannot see what is purchased or the spirit of Father Christmas will be revealed.

I have made a few more post it note holders for last minute gift ideas.

Aren’t they just adorable? Who wouldn’t want to receive one of these?
