Scallop Tag Topper Box that closes

Hello Crafters,

As I mentioned the other day , I am having the best time creating new and exciting treat style boxes of all shapes and sizes!

Here is the second style but this time, this one closes up so the treats don’t fall out.

Scallop Tag Topper

For the card base, I started with a piece of Crumb Cake card stock measuring 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.

The tops of the box are punched with the Scallop Tag Topper punch (#133324). I just love this punch!

I got the inspiration from Heidi Weaver, but I can’t remember what forum I saw it on, but thank you!

Here is a close up and side view to see the inside where it closes!

I used the Watercolour Wonder DSP (#132994) and the Petite Petals Stamp set and coordinating punch for the embellishments.

The Petite Petals stamp and coordinating punch can be purchased as a bundle saving you 15%!

For Petite Petals wood mount bundle only $39.75 (#134821) or clear mount bundle only $34.75 (#134822)

These are some of the newest products in our Occasions Catalogue.

Don’t forget that if you spend $90 during Sale-a-bration, which ends on 31 March, you can also claim 1 free gift from the Sale-a-bration brochure!

Hello Crafters,

These are only fairly small, but big enough to put a few treats in for the kiddies. These would also be a great gift idea for a work colleague or a friend who may be feeling down. Who wouldn’t love to receive one of these to help cheer them up?!!!

Chocolate Treats

Hello Crafters,

Anyone out there who doesn’t mind a bit a chocolate???

While shopping at Aldi recently I found these cute little chocolate bars sold in packs of 5 and they are only 40g each. A much better option than those family sized blocks right? Yes, I think so. I can’t just stop after eating one row!

I used the new Scallop Tag Topper Punch (#133324) which is available in the new Occasions Catalogue (28 Jan – 30 June 2014).

Chocolate Treat Holders     Chocolate Treat Holder

The one of the left with cupcake (Build a Cupcake Punch #121807), has the pink band around the silver card to hold it together. (See it open in the next picture).

The one of the right, was a little more fiddly to create, making it more box like at the bottom section to hold the chocolate in place. See close up picture below!

Chocolate Treat Holders

This was a more solid, but if I was make many of these I would probably opt to make the first option!!!

What a great idea for party favours or to give a work colleague on their birthday. Who wouldn’t appreciate one of these?!!!

The sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo Stampin’ Ink using the Best Of Birthdays Stamp set (#132929) available for a limited time. To order online for $25.95 Click Here

Flower Pot Card

Morning Crafters,

Here is my take on the Flower Pot card which has been around for years, but this is my first time creating one ~ I don’t know why it took me so long, when it was so simple!

I have used Soft Suede cardstock 9″ x 3-1/2″ then scored it at 3-1/2″ & 7″.

Fold in a zigzag and using a border punch, create the edge on the flower pot.

Measure in 1/2″ from each side at the bottom of the pot and mark with a pencil. Holding up the flap, draw a line from the pencil mark to the top corner to create the pot shape. Cut along each of these lines through the double thickness of cardstock.

Take some ribbon and tie it around the top of the flower pot (as shown). This holds the card together without any gluing!!!

Flower Pot Card   Flower Pot Card

Take a piece of soft suede card measured at 2-1/2″ x 4-1/2″ and a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock of 2-1/4″ x 4-1/4″.

Layer these on top of each other. This creates the section for your written message and slides into the pot.

Once you have this in the pot, decorate as desired, ensuring you cover the top part of the card and that some of the images sit in front of the pot.

HANDY TIP: It is also a good idea to lay this onto an envelope so as not to add too much height that it won’t fit into a standard size envelope!!!!

I have used Real Red, Coastal Cabana and the Fresh Prints Designer Series paper stack, along with the Simple Stems Stamp set and the coordinating Secret Garden Framelits. This stamp set and DSP are available from 28th January during Sale-a-bration!

Be sure to let me know what you think of my take on the Flower Pot card!

Simple Stems, part 2

Hello Stampers,

A couple of days ago I showcased some samples using the Simple Stems Stamp Set which is in the new Occasions Catalogue, available for purchase from 28th January.

Here is another sample using that same stamp set, although a different type of flower from that set.

I have used Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple in this card. The flowers remind me so much of our family holiday to Thailand last year, although they were more red that Raspberry Ripple, but I just love this colour combination.

I also added a Simply Pressed Clay flower embellishment and coloured it with the Gumball Green Stampin’ Write Marker.

Stunning Spiral Flowers

Hello Stampers,

Today I want to share with you another new item from the Occasions Catalogue, available for purchase from 28th January.

These gorgeous flowers are easy to create with one simple die. Click Here to watch a video tutorial.

To create them, I used the die to cut out the flower using my Big Shot, then sponged the edges with a sponge dauber before rolling it up using a skewer to create the flower. I have found the easiest and quickest way to glue them, is by using a hot glue gun and a silicone mat.

and a close up of the flowers with some small dots of crystal effects to look like raindrops! Aren’t they the prettiest?!!!
