Week 49 – Soft Succulent
Today we focus on one of the 2021-2023 In Colors, Soft Succulent which will retire in 11 days. I sure will miss this one as it is my absolute favourite colour out of the five In Colors due to retire.
The Rain or Shine Specialty DSP and the Fine Shimmer Paper Pack feature heavily in this card. I also used the Raindrops Embossing Folder behind the bunny and a sponge dauber to gently add some ink.
The main image is fussy cut from one of the DSP sheets and popped up on dimensionals. The fine shimmer paper was cut with the Framed Florets dies for that oval frame.
Here is another view of the card, so you can see how it looks when open. It is a basic Z fold design, but it has 5 strips of Balmy Blue card creating the panels. I added the top and bottom panels first, then the centre one, then the other 2 last so they were fairly evenly spaced.
On the back panel, I added some Basic White card and stamped the sentiment/balloon and used a sponge dauber to apply ink around the edges.
This card folds flat to fit into our C6 envelope (also stamped with a balloon)!
