Pop Out Swing Card

Today’s project is a Pop Out Swing card inspired by Rose Coleman, in Canada. I slightly altered the measurements to fit the South Pacific (Metric) market and you can find these below.

Pop Out Swing Christmas card using Stampin Up Whimsical Trees & Whimsy & Wonder DSP by Kate Morgan, Australia 2021

I have used the Whimsical Trees Bundle and the gorgeous coordinating Designer Series Paper, Whimsy and Wonder Specialty DSP.

Inks: Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron & Mossy Meadow

The Silver Foil was used the cut out the little stars and the silver ring around the front pop out feature using the Layering Circles dies.

Measurements
Basic Thick White card: 21cm x 15.2cm, scored at 10.5cm (card base)
Basic White card: 15.2cm x 14.4cm, scored at 5.2cm & 10.2cm (15.2cm side) Fold in Z for inside
Basic White card: 9.5cm x 1.5cm scored at 5cm (2 pieces) for mechanism
Patterned Paper: 14.3cm x 10cm for front & 13.8cm x 4.5cm (2 pieces) for inside

Today I share another new card technique that I haven’t tried before, the Pop Out Swing card.

Number of Years Pop out Swing card #stampinup Occasions 2016 @cardsbykate

There are loads of Youtube tutorials on this style card, and I can’t remember which one I actually followed. Mind you, I didn’t use the same card size, so in a way, I had to work it out for myself!

I used the Number of Years stamp set for the flowers and the sentiment.

Ink colours used: Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron, Rose Red, Perfect Plum, So Saffron.

I love the soft colours of this card and I also stamped some more flowers on the inside of the card!
