free shipping 18 sept 2024

Today I feature the Frosted Forest Bundle and the Meandering Meadows Designer Paper in this thank you card.

On a Thick White card base, I stamped the large tree image twice in Basic Beige ink to give a watermark look. A strip of the designer paper with a small strip of Festive Glimmer above it, for a little sparkle, are adhered together. Some Linen Thread is wrapped around twice and tied in a bow. This is adhered to the lower half on the card.

The sentiment is stamped in Pecan Pie ink onto Crushed Curry cardstock and diecut with a banner from the Stlyish Shapes dies. This is adhered on Dimensionals to the card.

The tree is stamped in Pecan Pie ink before using the masks and Blending Brushes to colour the image. The trunk is Pecan Pie, while the leaves I started with Crushed Curry on the tops, followed by Lost Lagoon and then the final mask is Pretty Peacock ink. Once diecut, it was also added on Dimensionals. To finish off, some Pretty Peacock Tinsel Gems are added.

On the inside, a wide leftover strip of the DSP fits nicely down the right hand side, leaving enough space to write a message.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Daffodil Delight.

Please enjoy the wonderful inspiration of our next team member, Sharon Davern (it’s her all time favourite SU colour, hehe!!!).

Crumb Cake: Labeled with Love

2024-25 blog header

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 20 – Crumb Cake

Today I feature the Labeled with Love stamp set in this soft feminine thank you card. I’ve been asked to make some thank you cards for teachers for the end of Year 12 for my eldest daughter.

A Thick Basic White card base with a layer of the pretty dry embossed background (Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder) which I splattered with my dark Crumb Cake Blends Marker (this photo is a little yellowish and looks more like Very Vanilla, but it is infact Basic White).

A fellow SU Demonstrator, Melody Hyde, shared her idea of stamping the label image to create this medallion effect, by stamping once, rotating 90º, stamping again and repeating. I did this in Black Memento ink and then lightly coloured each section carefully with ink and a Water Painter. This was then die cut using a circle from the Stylish Shapes dies.

The flowers were stamped in Bubble Bath and the leaves in in Crumb Cake. This is fussy cut with Paper Snips and added to the medallion on dimensionals. Some smaller leaves from the Fluffiest Friends dies were cut in Crumb Cake cardstock and glued behind for extra interest.

The sentiment is stamped in Crumb Cake ink onto a white diecut from the Unbounded Love dies. Some Iridescent Pearls were coloured with Bubble Bath Blends Marker and added to the centre of each flower. A Linen Thread bow is added on a Glue Dot.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for inspiration using Crushed Curry.

Please enjoy the wonderful inspiration of our next team member, Rachel Palmieri.

Copper Clay: Frosted Forest Masculine Birthday card

2024-25 blog header

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 19 – Copper Clay

Today I feature the Frosted Forest bundle in this Masculine card. Masculine cards are certainly not my strength, but I had a go!

I began by cutting two strips of Copper Clay card, spritzed them well with water and scrunched them up and left them to dry while I worked on the rest of the card.

I started with a layer of Granny Apple Green cardstock and some Take a Bow Designer Series Paper (DSP). Before gluing these together, I diecut the leafy top die from the centre of the DSP. Then these two layers are glued together and placed into my Timber 3D Embossing Folder to add some texture. This is glued to the Copper Clay card base.

Once the scrunched strips were die, I flattened them slightly and added them to the card base. Don’t they create a lovely texture?!!

The tree image is made up of three dies and these pieces are glued together. he sentiment is heat embossed with Copper WOW Embossing Powder onto Garden Green cardstock and fussy cut. Some Copper Metallic dots were added to finish.

On the inside (and envelope) I stamped the same tree image. I matted this insert on some Garden Green card to carry across the colours from the front.

Heart of Christmas: Reindeer in the Winter Woods Fun Fold card

Heart of Christmas Header 2024 - 1

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Monday evening for the AWHT Heart of Christmas Blog Hop showcasing Stampin’ Up! seasonal products.

Week 4

Today I feature the Nests of Winter DSP with the Reindeer Fun bundle in this fun fold creating a winter scene.

Reindeer Fun Fancy Fold Christmas Card for Heart of Christmas Blog Hop Week 4 by Kate Morgan Stampin Up Australia 2024

I started with a 6″ x 6″ piece of the DSP and cut it down to 14.5cm in height and left the length until I had cut the 4 panels to keep theh pattern flowing. Then I cut 6cm from the right, so when the card is closed the pattern is coninuous allowing the white space to write the recipient a mesage.

Once these are glued to the card, the hinge is added. I did cut the top of this with the Frosted Forest die to have the snow hill effect, although it is hard to see now the deer are attached. Add glue to the underside of each end, fold the card closed, then place the hinge in place to ensure the card closes correctly.

The deer are stamped in Pecan Pie ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends: SU500, SU600 & SU800. I placed some Craft White ink refill onto an acrylic block and took the Water Painter to gently dip the tip in the ink to create the spots on the deer.  You may notice a second little deer and no stamp for that one. I actually did the mirror image stamping of the small deer as I wanted it facing to the left. I did this by stamping the image directly onto my Silicone Mat, then placing some white card on top and pressing firmly to transfer the ink before colouring it.
