Early Espresso: Latte Love Scrapbook page

2024-25 blog header

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 23 – Early Espresso

Today I have something a little different… a 12″ x 12″ scrapbook layout for you!

Stampin’ Up! have recently welcomed the Close to my Heart family to join in recent months and with this some scrapbooking inspiration has returned to the Stampin’ Up! range and I am excited to be reinvigorated to scrapbook memories. This one today is of me and my girlfriends who have caught up most Friday mornings for many years, since our kiddos were in primary school and these A Little Latte Designer Series Papers were the perfect choice!

  • First, tear the edges of the Pool Party design on both sides and sponge the edges with Pecan Pie ink and adhere it to the Basic White 12″ x 12″ scrapbook page.
  • Layer the coffee bean design onto some Early Espresso cardstock and the heart design onto some Pecan Pie cardstock and lay these on the page to work out where to add the stamping of the coffee stains and splatter [Latte Love stamp set] in Early Espresso & Pecan Pie inks.
  • Once stamped then adhere these DSPs to the page.
  • Layer the 10cm x 10cm photo onto Basic White, Pool Party & Early Espresso cardstock and adhere to the page.
  • Die cut the Peacan Pie circle using the Spotlight on Nature dies and sponge the edges.
  • Die cut the three coffee cups from the Designer Paper and die cut the coffee pot using Pool Party, Early Espresso cardstock and Window Sheet for the glass, and the spoons from Silver Foil, then adhere these to the page.
  • Stamp the sentiment in Versamark ink, add White WOW Embossing powder, tap off the excess and melt it with your Heat Tool.
  • Die cut some leaves from Early Espresso cardstock using the Enduring Beauty dies and die cut the sentiment using the circle die and adhere these to your layout.
  • To finish off I added some Adhesive-backed Swirl Dots and put it into a White Frame to display.

Early Espresso with Earthen Textures

2023-2024 AWH Colour Creations header

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 22 – Early Espresso

Today’s card features the Earthen Textures Bundle (stamps & dies). My card base is Early Espresso cardstock with a layer of Distressed Gold Specialy Designer Series Paper.

The background to my focal point, is a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, with one of the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks. I added Early Espresso ink with a Blending Brush, keeping it darker on the outer edges. When I sat it on the card, I felt it needed something more, so I used a Sponge Dauber to make the edges quite dark.

I began by cutting lots of different dies from my chosen colours and then played around moving pieces to work out my final layout. I needed to ground my urn on simething, so I cut a larger Decklede Crcle die and cut one side.

Can you believe how watercolouring can soften such bold colours? The palm/fan shape diecuts are Moody Mauve and Pretty Peacock and the urn is Easly Espresso! I also used the embossing die to add some texture, and the top is diecut in Basic White. Some Natural Wavy Trim was threaded through and adhered at the back.  This allowed room for my sentiment to take pride of place in the centre of the urn. To finish off, I painted some Gold Metallic Enamel Effects Basics onto the ends of the fronds using a Water Painter filled with Isocol and a clear block.

Decorate the inside with some left over pieces.

Week 18 – Early Espresso

Today is the final day of Sale•a•bration for 2022.

The largest die from the Aspen Trees dies is used to cut the Early Espresso card front. Behind this, I glued a piece of the 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer Paper. I stamped the dots/speckles in the same colour ink around the edges of the card front.

The sentiment from the Charming Sentiments Bundle is stamped in Versamark ink, White Emboss Powder added and heat set, before using the coordinating die to cut it out. This was added with Black Mini Dimensionals. I die cut two leaves in the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper, and one in Early Espresso card and these are adhered with glue. A small piece of Linen Thread is added behind the sentiment. To finish off I added some Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots.

On the inside, I placed a Basic White card insert and repeated the dots/speckles around the edge, but I stamped off before onto the white card, so it toned it down. I placed two more of the leaves to the bottom corner.
