Cherry Cobbler: Flowerpot Easel card

Welcome to the Colour Creations Instahop. You can follow us on Instagram starting  @craftwithkate. Each week we will showcase the Stampin’ Up! colours in alphabetical order.

Week 15 – Cherry Cobbler

This handmade card features the Coneflower Celebrations Bundle (stamp set and coordinating dies) and the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper (DSP).

This is the card sitting for display.

Here you can see how the card sits flat to fit into an envelope. You can also see close up of the Damask Designs Embossing Folder on the flowerpot. The flower itself is Cherry Cobbler with a Basic White layer that has been gently inked using a Blending Brush. The top is Pecan Pie. Wink of Stella is added over the ink blending for sparkle.

The same piece of doubled sided patterned paper is used. The A side with the photographic rattan texture side and the ‘B’ side/reverse, is the more subdued linen texture. I added some stamped splatter to this in Pecan Pie ink with the same cardstock as matt layers. The strip across the centre is added on Dimensionals, so that the flowerpot sits behind it to display. The butterfly is stamped in Pecan Pie and coloured using Stampin’ Write Markers; Cherry Cobbler, Fresh Freesia and Pecan Pie.

Opening the above layer, is the hidden panel for writing your message. The same butterfly was stamped in the bottom corner with Versamark ink, White WOW Emboss Powder added and melted with my Heat Tool. Some light ink blending was then added and a sentiment stamped next to it in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Thanks for dropping by. I hope you join me next Wednesday for Coastal Cabana inspiration.

Cherry Cobbler: Staggered Z Fold card

2024-25 blog header

I’m thrilled you are here to join us each Wednesday evening for the AWHT Colour Creations Blog Hop showcasing the full range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 17 – Cherry Cobbler

Today I feature the pretty Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper (DSP) from the Online Exclusives in this Staggered Z fold card design.

It is a normal card front size, but the front panel is folded back on itself and the staggered layers added to create the feature. Lemon Lime Twist compliments the patterned papers for the matt layers. The sentiment, the die and the diecut sprigs are from the Changing Leaves bundle.

The sprigs are cut in white, then Cherry Cobbler ink added with a Blending Brush. On each ofthe tips, some Red Metallic Enamel Effects Basics was added. I finished off adding some gold Adhesive-backed Dragonflies & Birds, which gosoo well with these papers.

When the card is open you can see the pattern flows across to reveal the full scene. A Basic White panel is adhered to the left inside panel to write your message.

Each week some of the Art With Heart teamare joining  the Colour Creations Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 17 – Cherry Cobbler

Today I have another ‘new to me’ Bundle, Time Together. but it is actually in the Annual catalogue. So, tonight I am using some old and new products!

On my Cherry Cobbler card base, is another layer that was dry embossed with the new Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. I also used my open Paper Snips to distress the edges. The next layer is a piece of floral patterned paper from the Delightfully Eclectic DSP which is cut using the Countryside Corners die. The hour glass was stamped in Crumb Cake ink and die cut with the coordiating dies. The sand is stamped in Cherry Cobbler. This is added to the DSP on dimensionals. The floral images on either side are stamped in Crumb Cake and coloured using the Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers and glued in place.

The sentiment is stamped and die cut and a dimensional on either end so it sits up across the hour glass. Those cute little hearts are from one of the dies in the set. It’s a large heart with little ones inside that I wasn’t going to throw away. Before I glued all the layers together, I felt the dry embossed layer needed a bit more, so I took a sponge dauber and Tombo multipurpose glue, and gently tapped it around the edges. This glue stays sticky for a little while, so I had time to go back and rub on some Gilded Leafing.

Do you see those sparkly bits? Well that is some of the new White Iridescent Ribbon. I pulled the threads from one end and it turns into these slippery threads. I also added some Wink of Stella to the sand (hard to see in the photo).

On the inside, a few more die cut pieces and stamped flowers from the bundle.

Christmas

Christmas Wreath

Hello Stampers,

Well I have finally started my Christmas Decorations and my Christmas Wreath for the front door. What do you think?

I was going to add some more festive flurry die cuts, but then I thought it probably doesn’t need them and would it look too busy with more around the ring? Yes, I stopped myself and here is the finished product.

Stampin Up Christmas Wreath

I used Cherry Cobbler Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon ($15.95 for 9.1m, item code 132135) from the Holiday Catalogue to wrap around the foam ring.

The ornament is hanging from the Silver Ribbon ($8.95 for 9.1m, item code 132137)

I made the ornament with the Festive Flurry Bundle ($83.95 clear, $95.95 wood). This bundles includes the Festive Flurry Stamp Set and the Festive Flurry Framelits Dies saving you 15% by purchasing as a bundle.

I used Smoky Slate and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Inkpads and Stampin’ Dimensionals between each Flurry. To finish it off I added a Frosted Finishes Embellishment ($11.95 for 12, item code 132150). These embellishments are adorned with rhinestones ~ you know how much I love a bit of bling!!!!

To purchase most of these items, be sure to visit my online store!

Happy stamping,

Kate
