You know how I have been sharing many projects lately with the new Balloon Bouquet Punch and Balloon Celebration stamp set? Well I have some tips & tricks for you when using them to make life easier! Do you want to see?

Step 1 – Begin by punching the balloons in some scrap card stock

Step 2 – Sit the 2 balloon stamps inside the punch out pieces (stamp side down)

Step 3 – Place your acrylic block on top

Step 4 – Now stamp in the colours you require

Pop up Slider Card

Happy New Year to you all, I hope that your celebrations were safe and wonderful and your year ahead is full of love, laughter, happiness & of course loads of crafting!

Today I share with you, a new technique that has been around for many years, but I have not made until now. It’s the pop up slider card.

Slider Card Balloon Celebration Bouquet #stampinup

I love new products and today I have used a few of them lol. These are from the Occasions catalogue and a couple of the FREE sets from the Sale-a-bration brochure which goes live on 5th January 2016!

I used the Balloon Celebration stamp set and the coordinating Balloon Bouquet Punch. This punch has 2 size balloons on it, so it is fantastic value! I also used the Hello stamp set and Perfect Pairings stamp set, both of which can be earned FREE during Sale-a-bration. All you have to do is spend $90 and choose 1 FREE item, spend $180 and choose 2 FREE items and so on.

Here’s how it works. As you pull the ribbon tab at the top, the middle section of the card opens up to reveal hidden messages.

Push the tab back in and the card closes up.

Colours I’ve used are: Mint Macaron, Pool Party, Melon Mambo & Whisper White.

How cute is this technique??!!! I don’t know why it took me so long to give it a go, but I can see myself making many more of these fun cards.

Happy Birthday Chick

Dear Crafters,

Today’s project uses the brand new Balloon Bouquet Punch, Perfect Pairings stamp set and the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set.

Honeycomb Happiness chick #stampinup

I covered the white card base with some Cherry on Top DSP and stamped the sentiment from the Perfect Pairings stamp set (can be earned free with any $90 order) in Bermuda Bay ink.

The chick was stamped in black directly onto some Daffodil Delight Core card and fussy cut. Then the beak and feet were coloured with the Tangelo Twist Stampin’ Write Marker.

Honeycomb Happiness chick #stampinup

The gold glimmer balloon was cut using the Balloon Bouquet Punch, sure to be a massive seller from the soon to be released Occasions catalogue (5th January)! Don’t you agree that you could use this on so many projects?!!! I added the balloon and chick using dimensionals and some gold cording trim behind the chick and balloon.

Honeycomb Happiness

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card using the stunning Love Blossoms DSP and the Honeycomb Embellishments.

Love Blossoms Honeycomb Balloon #stampinup

On the white card base, I added a narrow layer of the Love Blossoms DSP. The image from the stamp set, Honeycomb Happiness is stamped in Blushing Bride ink onto Whisper White card and layered on top of some blushing bride card. A coordinating Honeycomb Embellishment was added.

I stamped the sentiment in blushing bride ink onto coordinating card stock and used a circle punch to cut it out. I added some candy dots to finish it off.

Cute as a Mouse

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card using the Balloon Builders stamp set from the Occasions catalogue. I have to admit that when I first saw this set, it wasn’t one that was going to the top of my list to purchase. But, as I looked at it more and more and saw the samples in the catalogue, I had to make this card I share today.

The card base is Delightful Dijon. The top layer is Whisper White, which has a piece of Washi Tape added to the bottom.

Mouse Balloon Builders #stampinup

I stamped the mouse in Smoky Slate ink using a variety of the stamps and his nose in Rose Red. The balloon and sentiment is stamped in Delightful Dijon ink and fussy cut then added with a dimensional. I tied a bow with some Gold Cording Trim and adhered it with a glue dot.

Heart of Gold

Dear Crafters,

Gold is in this year and so I have created a nice shiny gold heart of flowers!

This is a sneak peek of the Bloomin’ Love stamp set, new in the Occasions catalogue starting 5th January 2016.

I used a Blushing Bride card base and layered some Whisper White card which was stamped with versamark ink and gold embossed using the heat tool. The bottom section is some of the Love Blossoms DSP which you would have seen in recent blog posts…. I love it!

The Blushing Bride Cotton Ribbon is beautiful and finishes this card nicely.

Today I share some more pretty in pink to end the week, but I promise next week, I’ll try and incorporate something more masculine lol

Can you tell that I love this Designer Paper Series Stack, Love Blossoms? I think it is just stunning and so utterly feminine.

How beautiful is this butterfly which was created using the Bold Butterfly Framelits and Butterflies Thinlits. The bottom layer is vellum, then blushing bride, then rose red and finished with a gorgeous Iced Rhinestone Embellishment.

Ninja Turtles

Dear Crafters,

My 6 year old has been invited to a 6th birthday party of one of her classmates and apparently he loves Ninja Turtles, so this is what I have made for him!

I added some of those cute googly eyes which I think give them so much more character.

I used the 1-1/4″ circle punch and the Large oval punch to create the turtles head from Wild Wasabi card.

The bandanna’s are made from 1/2″ strips of Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant, Tempting Turquoise & Real Red. The Triple Banner punch was used to create the ends of the bandanna.

The mouth is drawn by hand.

The black background is embossed with the Hexagon TIEF.

I saw a similar card on Pinterest, so not entirely my idea, but oh how cute are they?!
