Week 39 – Pool Party
Today’s card shows off the large background die that is part of the Two-tone Flora Bundle. I die cut if from a piece of Fancy Flora DSP which also coordinates as part of this suite of products. I did add Adhesive Sheet to the back of the DSP before die cutting, so I could easily add it to my Night of Navy card base.
Because the background is so busy (a good busy!!) I added some Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty DSP, die cut with the square from the Stylish Shapes dies and added with Dimensionals. With the lovely shine, it also draws the eyes to the focal flowers stamped in Pool Party and Night of Navy inks. The leaves are stamped off once and then onto white card with the Navy ink and the others are stamped in Versamark on Navy card and White Emboss Powder added & set with my Heat Tool. Some of the Gold Simply Elegant Trim was pulled apart to have those curly pieces for a little extra texture.
On the inside, a white insert with some navy card and the DSP from the front of the card. I haven’t added any sentiments to my card, as it could be used for many occasions. I’ll add that when I know who will be receiving this card!

Gorgeous card Kate. I love your use of Night of Navy with Pool Party for the flowers & leaves. They are shown beautifully with the die cut DSP and the pop of shine & colour with the Dry brushed square. xxx

Such a lovely card Kate and a perfect choice of DSP for that die! I love how you have used the Dry Brushed paper to break up the busyness and create a base for those beuatiful flowers. Good idea to leave the sentiment off as it could be used for numerous occasions.

Kate, your card is gorgeous! The die cut DSP panel looks amazing! You’ve complimented the busy look perfectly with the offset square and soft coloured flowers. I love the delicate metallic threads you added too – just perfect.

The DSP for die cutting seems like a touch of genius Kate, it creates such a soft, feminine effect. A lovely card for any reason.

How good does that piece of Fancy Flora DSP look when die cut from that large die? At first glance I thought you’d been madly watercolouring or blending for hours, LOL! Stunning card, Kate!
