Each Monday, join me for the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop brought to you by the Art With Heart team. We will be showcasing our July-December Mini catalogue and Annual catalogue Christmas products.
Some things are great on their own but become epic when they are paired with coordinating dies! Tonight I have two cards using the Trimming the Tree Bundle (save 10%). The Trimming the Tree stamp set is already in the catalogue, but the Tree Trimming dies are exclusive to the Perfect Partners promotion and are only available while supplies last during September (they will not be available in future catalogues).
Card 1 – I have added a layer of Gingham Cottage DSP to a Thick Basic White card base. I placed the tree stamp onto the Stamparatus plate and inked it up with Mint Macaron. I also took a sponge dauber and some Garden Green ink and daubed some around the edges before stamping onto Basic White card. Using the coordinating dies, cut out the tree and some of the little bows from 2022-24 In Color Glimmer paper.
The base is die cut from Kraft card. The Fabulous Frames dies were used to cut the 4 corner pieces from Gold Foil. The vellum was run through my Cut & Emboss machine in the Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder. Doesn’t it look amazing?!
Glue the Gold Foil pieces to the vellum layer and add the tree on dimensionals. Place glue on the back of the vellum behind all the pieces added so it doesn’t show through once dry. Adhere this to the card. I finished off with a Gold & Vanilla Satin edged ribbon bow adhered with a glue dot.
Card 2 – The card base is Evening Evergreen. The patterned paper in the background is from the Lights Aglow Specialty DSP with a piece of Gold Shimmer Ribbon across the join. Adhere this to the card base.
The tree is die cut from a piece of the Gingham Cottage DSP with a Distressed Gold Specialty paper star and basket. The bows are die cut from the 2022-24 In Color Glimmer paper. The sentiment is stamped onto Basic White card in Mint Macaron ink and die cut. The tree and sentiment are added on dimensionals.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you can join me next week for more Christmas inspiration!

Both your cards are just gorgeous Kate, I don’t know which one I like the best. I do like the corner details around the embossed vellum on the first one I think that is a a lovely touch and that card is just beautiful.
The second card is also very beautiful. I love the DSP you have chosen as the background to your gorgeous tree.

All those tiny glimmery bows are delightful, Kate. I especially like the addition of the photo corners to the embossed vellum panel on your first card, but love what you’ve done with both of your creations. x

Oh that embossed vellum on your first card looks amazing with the tree trimming die tree, Kate. The Lights Aglow Specialty DSP behind the tree in your second card gives such a magical dreamy feel. Great combinations of different products in your beautiful Christmas cards.

Two beautiful cards Kate in particular I like the first one. I think it is the effect that you have created using vellum for the embossed layer.

Love the versatility of the Trimming the Trees bundle and how you have showcased both the stamped and die cut trees. Those pretty red bows sit beautifully on your trees Kate. The backgrounds on both your cards complement the trees especially the embosssed panel.

Two beautiful cards Kate. The vellum had done it for me on card 1. I thought, yep that’s my favourite. Then I scrolled and saw card 2. Love them both!!!

I love how you’ve used the bows on the trees rather than ornaments. Both cards are so lovely – I never realised how detailed those baskets are!
