Each Monday, some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop to bring you creative inspiration showcasing our July-December Mini catalogue and Annual catalogue Christmas products.
July is a great time to start making those Christmas cards before the year gets away from us, and it’s Christmas before we know it!
When I first saw the JD Mini catalogue, I fell in love with the Storybook Gnomes Suite (#159630) and they were the first items to drop into my shopping cart!
I love how the images on the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper can be cut out using the Gnomes dies. The trees are from a Saleabration product Tree Lot dies, that can be earned free with a qualifying order). The are cut from the Parakeet Party colour in 2022-2024 In Color Glimmer papers and the 2022-2024 In Color Designer Series paper. The gnomes hat and feet are die cut from the left over paper around the sheet I die cut the gnomes from. His nose is also the Glimmer paper (Tahitian Tide). The beard is Shimmery White cardstock. The Fabulous Frames dies was used to cut the oval in the centre of the DSP. The stamping inside the oval uses Pacific Point ink.
This next card uses some DSP and then I stamped/die cut the mushroom and gnome. These are coloured with alcohol Blends Combo markers. then added with dimensionals to the card. The sentiment is stamped in Balmy Blue ink.
Some red and white Pearlized Enamel Effects Basics are added and set aside to dry.
These next two cards can be made in multiples as they are created using the Storybook Designer Paper. No sign of stamps or ink, just the paper and Gnome dies! Some Simply Elegant Trim and 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots were added for some bling.
Thanks for dropping by. I hope you can join me next week for more Christmas inspiration!
Please continue to hop and enjoy the wonderful inspiration of Tina in Adelaide, South Australia!

Wow Kate – so many gorgeous cards either with stamping or just highlighting the DSP. Your gnomes are so cute whether with trees or the large mushroom homes. Xxx

You know I love this suite, Kate! And I love how you have shown how you can stamp and colour (my favourite, by the way) and cut and use the patterned paper to create a wide variety of cards.

Kate I love how this blog hop makes us look at things with different eyes. I am not a gnome sort of person but after seeing your cards I am certainly enlightened to the possibilities of this suite. Card one is my favourite.

Your cards are great Kate! I was trying not to buy the gnomes this year but they are so cute and your and your cards are lovely that they may jump into my box next order.
Thank you for participating in The Heart of Christmas and getting us off to a great start.

Gorgeous cards Kate and I think these gnomes will be a hit for both Christmas and non-Christmas cards alike as you have shown tonight. Love your first card with the snowflakes DSP and those fabulous bright green trees.

Your gnomes are so stinking cute, Kate! I love how you also showed making cards with no stamping at all – that DSP is so versatile!
