Week 15 – Daffodil Delight
The Hand-Penned Petals Bundle is the focus of tonight’s card, along with the very pretty Hand-Penned DSP. As you can see my card base is Daffodil Delight.
The Penned Flower dies which are part of this bundle, were used to die cut the floral images. The Gold Foil one is adhered behind the front panel and the Basic Black background adhered to the front of the panel. I die cut the intricate die in Basic White card, as well as Blushing Bride,Daffodil Delight & Gold Foil. I removed the inside pieces and placed them inside the white die cut for the inlay technique. I used my Blends Markers (Highland Heather, Mint Macaron), to colour the leaves and smaller flowers.
The Word Wishes dies are are used to cut the sentiment on the card front. I cut it multiple times, 4 times in Basic Black card and once in Gold Foil and glued them all together.
Stamp the floral image on the white panel with Daffodil Delight ink and the sentiment in Memento Black ink. You can place the white panel on the back or the inside of the card. I chose to glue it to the back to cover up where my panel joined the card base. The flowers have Wink of Stella on them for a gorgeous shine!

Kate such a fabulous technique to add colour to the delicate die cut and the use of blends to colour the smaller sections. Love your die cut layered sentiment and how it adds richness to your card.

Such a lovely, cheery, card Kate. I love how you used a combination of inlaid die cuts, and Stampin’ Blends colouring, on the main floral spray. The Daffodil Delight base makes this a particularly happy card!
