Abundance of Butterflies

AWHT Colour Creations Showcase

Each week some of the Art With Heart team are joining the Colour Creations Showcase to bring you creative inspiration to showcase our range of 50+ gorgeous Stampin’ Up! colours.

Week 38 – Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin Pie is one of my least used colours in the Stampin’ Up! range. I haven’t used much of it in my card today, but I actually love how it looks with Misty Moonlight.

I took a piece of the patterned paper from the Dandy Garden 6″ x 6″ DSP pack. I cut the piece to fit my White card base.

I stamped the butterfly image twice in Memento Black ink using the Stamparatus, then die cut them both. Placing them on the card I wanted to add a sentiment through the centre at an angle, so I cut a strip out of the centre of the DSP before gluing the two pieces at either end of the card base.

The butterflies are coloured with Stampin’ Blends Combo Markers; Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, Misty Moonlight & Granny Apple Green. They are add with dimensionals to the card.

This sentiment from the Quite Curvy stamp set, is stamped in Misty Moonlight ink. I coloured some pearls with the Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Marker.

  5. What a beautiful colour combination, Kate – one I never would have thought of! It looks SO good, especially with those beautiful butterflies. Love your choice of background paper, and the way you coloured the pearls. This is a gorgeous card. I think we may have a new-found respect for Pumpkin Pie!
