Masculine, Stampin' Up!

Happy 50th Birthday to my hubby!

Well, today my hubby turns 50 – eek, when did that happen?!!!

When I met him 22 years ago, he had this red Mini in his garage that was in need of major work to get it back on the road again, but he just didn’t have the time or money and when we moved in together it had to go. However, he always wanted to get another one in the future… do you think this card will suffice?!!! I don’t think so, but it’s a little reminder of his dream (maybe one day when he retires!).

This card uses some retired product (Designer Paper) and the car image is not Stampin’ Up! and boy did I know that when I inked it up. Eek, I’ll be sticking to my SU supplies for their superior quality to this one, it was a horror to get a clean image and it took several goes 😦

The Happy Birthday image on the front is from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set, inked in Versamark and Silver Emboss Powder added and heat set. The car is popped up on a wobble element so it moves around and is very cute!

Check out the personalised number plate!!! I used the Make a Difference stamp set. The image is coloured with Real Red/Smoky
Slate & Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Markers. Shimmery Crystal Effects is used on the car lights for a bit of shine.

Family Party was the perfect stamp set for the inside sentiment and the silver foil numbers are the Playful Alphabet dies, sitting on a black die cut from the Tasteful Labels dies. The stars are stamped in Smoky Slate ink.
