Really going to miss this little bunny…

Dear Crafters,

Today I share a card using mainly products that will be retiring on 31 May and will be selling fast over the coming weeks.

Here is one of my favourite colour combinations and two of these will be retiring 😦

I was a bit sad that this cute little bunny stamp set was retiring, but it is one that I will be hanging on to. It is so versatile, it is great for baby cards as well as Easter!

It may be easier to tell you what product isn’t retiring (not including tools, eg Big Shot): whisper white cardstock, classic label punch and the sahara sand, crumb cake & soft suede inks. That’s all, everything else is only available while stocks last!

I am really going to miss those Lots of Labels dies too, I use them loads 😦

I did use the Stamparatus to stamp the bunny as I made a few of these cards. It’s so much quicker to have the stamps lined up and then you just change the plates each time to stamp. More on that though once the Stamparatus is available on 1 June 🙂

The sponging around the edge of the die cut was done with Pink Pirouette and then a lighter layer of Rose Red just on the edges. Isn’t is pretty?!!!

It’s a Girl!

Dear Crafters,

With loads of my friends and work colleagues who are pregnant at the moment, I thought I had better stock up on some baby cards. Not knowing if they are having a boy or a girl, I thought I had better do a few of each!!!!

I just love this cute Happy Heart embossing folder, so needed to include some on my baby cards. I have used the colours Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral and Real Red along with some of the Stacked With Love DSP.

Baby Girl

I stamped the jumpsuit with one of the images from Something For Baby, and die cut it with the coordinating Baby’s First Framelits. These two products can be purchased as a bundle saving you 15%.

Baby Girl

I added a heart punched from some Real Red Core’dinations card stock using the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack.

Be sure to decorate the inside panel of your card and even the envelope!

Baby Cards (boy & girl)

Hello Crafters,

Today I share with you some quick and easy baby cards using the Baby We’ve Grown stamp set.

I am just loving this set of stamps with 6 images, only 4 I have used!

The colour scheme is: Pink Pirouette, Soft Suede & Crumb Cake!

The card base is Crumb Cake.  I stamped each of the images onto Very Vanilla cardstock using a Soft Suede inkpad. I coloured parts of the images with the Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Write Marker and sponged all the edges.

The background was created by inking the inside of Petals a Plenty Textured Impressions Embossing Folder and placing the cardstock over the top being careful not to move it. Rub it gently then remove it slowly, so you don’t smudge the image. It is another fantastic technique for using your TIEFs!!!

I added some Vintage ribbon and some pearls to finish it off.

I then decided to make one for a baby boy using the same colours but exchanging the Pink Pirouette for Soft Sky and here it is!

Zoo Babies

Hello Crafters,

It must be month for babies, as a past work colleague who I still keep in touch with became a grandmother during the week. Her daughter had a baby girl!

I immediately thought to use the Zoo Babies stamp set (W#130483, C#130456) and the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (W#132022, C#126257) with coordinating framelits, Bitty Banners (#129267).

Zoo Babies

I stamped the Rhino in Smoky Slate ink twice and fussy cut the head and used a dimensional to place on top and a 1/8″ mini silver brad for the eye.

The lion is stamped in Daffodil Delight and Tangerine Tango for the head, also fussy cut. The elephant I used Pink Pirouette ink and mounted the ear.

The polka dot paper used for the background is from the Subtles DSP Stack and the dotted scallop ribbon border punch in Pink Pirouette card.

How cute is this card? I just love the soft tones of baby cards and love the look of using dimensionals to add height to the animals, a bit like paper tole!
