Week 46 – Smoky Slate
Today’s card I wanted to use the Friendly Gnomes stamp set. I stamped the gnome in Smoky Slate using the Stamparatus. Then I stamped over the top with Versamark ink, added Clear Emboss Powder and melted it with my heat tool. This makes it easier to colour to contain the bleeding, when using Stampin’ Blends Markers.
My card base is Smoky Slate. I took some Silver Foil and added some Country Gingham DSP in Mint Macaron. Then I cut the circle with the 2″ Circle Punch (which has returned as part of the Online Exclusive products, yay)! This was then glued to the card base.
I coloured the Gnome with Stampin’ Blends Combo (alcohol) markers; Mint Macaron, Smoky Slate, Real Red, Basic Black & SU1000. The Conversation Bubbles Bundle was used to create the Luv Ya sentiment.
On the inside I used the Blending Brushes to add Mint Macaron around the edges, stamped the flower and added an offcut of the patterned paper. The flowers were coloured with the same colours as the gnome, but I used the Chalk marker to add the white to the centres.

What a cutie! Great tip about using the extra heat embossed layer with the blends Markers. The addition of silver to your card looks lovely with Smoky Slate and Mint Macaron.

Loved seeing the cheeky gnome with one eye peeking out. Looks like he has a secret he’s bursting to share – maybe he has some inside info on new colours!!!
