Each Monday, join me for the Heart of Christmas Blog Hop brought to you by the Art With Heart team. We will be showcasing our July-December Mini catalogue and Annual catalogue Christmas products.
My fancy fold card is elegant and looks difficult, but it is actually quite easy to make.
Starting with a Cherry Cobbler card base with 2 scorelines (either end) and dry embossed with the Quatrefoil Tile Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (I folded the end tabs to the front and embossed it like that so it fit into the folder).
A piece of gold Brushed Metallic cardstock is placed inside the card (centred), then run the Stampin’ Seal adhesive along the right hand side only. Fold the right front panel down to adhere.
Dry emboss an extra strip of cardstock and add Stampin’ Seal on the back. Holding the card closed, adhere it to the centre on the Gold Foil.
Add some Basic White card stock to the inside and stamp your sentiment from the Very Best Occasions stamp set with Shaded Spruce ink.
Cut a piece of the Lights Aglow Specialty DSP into a 3″ x 3″ square and adhere this to a piece of 2⅞” x 2⅞” cardstock for added stability. Add Stampin’ Seal to the back (ensuring only to add to 2/3s from the RHS). The left side panel sits under the diamond (on top of the gold) to stay closed!
Decorate the diamond feature with a Gold foil bell, a bow and some pine needles from the Decorated Pines dies. Finally, I added Wink of Stella to the holly in the sentiment and some Pearlized Enamel Effects in red to the berries.
Measurements:
Card stock: 7” x 5½“ Score @ 1⅜” & 5⅝”
Card stock: 5½” x 1¼” centre panel
Card stock: 2⅞” x 2⅞” behind DSP
Gold Foil: 5½“ x 2½”
DSP: 3″ x 3″
White insert: 4″ x 5⅜”

A truly elegant and beautiful card Kate. That little gold ornament is the perfect accent on your focal panel. Love the use of the quatrefoil embossing folder too. It has an elegance that suits your overall design.

Oh Kate, your card is beautiful. It’s put together so beautifully and I absolutely love the quatrefoil embossing on it – great choice. The gold details just add to the already wonderful card. The bell, bow and pine fronds are the perfect finishing elements.
